I went here on a Sunday afternoon to get Guinness for the night ( it was Saint Patrick's ). The store was a bit small but you could find everything easily in seconds since they all had labels all around. The back was an ice room for beers and other ipas if you were into that. The staff was nice and helped locate where the Guinness was. Since I didn't know whether to get the Draught Stout vs the Extra Stout but the staff informed me that the Extra Stout was just a smaller yet more stronger Guinness. That made me decide on what to get easily so I was grateful that I knew what I was getting for my friends. I would say this is a nice place to get alcohol, I wish we had stores like these in Virginia. Unfortunately that's not the case in Maryland. read more

Crescent Wine and Beer Store is a fairly new store that sells....wait for it, WINE & BEER! Ha! Located within the Bowie Marketplace, Crescent boasts a wide variety of wines, beers, and other alcoholic beverages. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with any questions or special requests of items you can't easily find. They even offer suggestions on items they think you may be interested in. The manager has even looked up an item for me and offered to order it specifically for me. Awesome customer service! They offer wine and beer tastings on certain days. Not exactly sure what other days they offer tastings, but I do know some Friday evenings it's offered, inquire within. The store is always clean and well stocked. The only thing I'm not too fond of is that they don't have the prices listed for the wines on the shelves. I guess if you have to ask, you don't need it, but I would like to know what I'm paying for before I actually bring it to the register. Additionally, the prices can be a bit pricey. This isn't my favorite wine and beer store in the county, but it is one of the closest to me and it will do in a flash. read more

Amazing one-stop shop right in the heart of Bowie! The selection is very wide and the prices are extremely reasonable. They have a bar where you can drink draft beer, wines or bourbon/whiskey pours! The perfect wine and beer store. I can honestly say they are my favorite thus far. They are located in a shopping center right next to Harris Teeters. There is plenty of parking because of where they are located. The staff are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. If you have no idea what you're looking for, they'll help you. This store has a massive variety of wine and beer. They also have beer and wine tasting on Friday and Saturday from 4pm-7pm! I almost forgot, there is a bar in the store. I just spent nearly $200 at this store and the cashier refused to place any of the boxes in my trunk for me. I've often made purchases here and pulled up to the store and never had this problem but for some reason he refused to help me. As I was leaving, another woman recommended that I go to Hilltop because they are always nice and never gave her a problem. She had a horrible experience here where they refused to help her when she was in a full arm caste! I think I will take my business elsewhere. These boxes are heavy and just wanted help loading them into my car. I will go where I am gladly greeted for patronizing a business. He seemed so bothered that I even asked for help! Love this spot. You can literally pop in to have a quick drink (as I did las Friday night after I got a mani/pedi from amazing nail shop next door) or grab your factory beer or wine. They also do wine and beer tastings every week which I got to experience last Friday as well. They have a nice bar and some high top tables as well as some low tables surrounding the bar. What made my visit even better last Friday was that it was the owners birthday and a customer had brought a dozen cupcakes for everyone in the bar area!! Honestly it made me want to come every week now! I also hope the same lady is there with some more free cupcakes. :) FYI I believe wine tastings are every Saturday and beer tastings are every Friday. read more

This place is a gem. It's a shame most of the customers go in to buy Bud Light. This place has a killer selection of rare beer in both imported and regionally domestic local. This time of year they have a ton of Oktoberfest brews. I wish this store existed in my area. read more

I took a quick look, and decided I needed help! They have the recognizable labels, but he steered me towards something new and different in my price range (good and cheap!). I had gone here earlier in the day looking for some craft beer. They had a decent selection of beer, but almost no prices on the shelves. They only had maybe about two dozen or so single bottles. A lot of the beers were mixed in the same spot with other beers with no prices. Very confusing. I am always greeted with a smile when I walk in and most times (since I always buy the same thing), my order has already been rung up when I get to the register so I just have to swipe my card and go on my way! Coldest beer in the area if you get it from the walk-in cooler. The store's interior has been updated within the last couple of years under new management and is much cleaner and more pleasant than it used to be.
