We went to a different florist and asked for the same order less the arch flowers and were quoted $1,700 for the flowers. If you don't like throwing your money away I would stay away from this florist. If I could have given them zero stars I would have.

I've seen better looking fire station halls for events. Cape May should ask for their money back from whoever designed this place. When we arrived, we were given a room on the second floor that had an obstructed view. What the heck? We went back to the lobby and spoke with the receptionist and he changed us to a room on the fourth floor (402). That had a spectacular view of the canal and was the same price. So why didn't the first employee just offer it when we specifically asked for a room with a view and it was obviously unoccupied? Beats the heck out of me. The inn looks a little like a museum inside with its decorations and statues so if you like that sort of vibe, this would fit your needs. The bathtub is quite slippery which surprised me since most of the patrons staying here appear to be seniors. The room does have a mini fridge and has two complimentary water bottles which is nice. Their complimentary "European style breakfast" from 8-10 AM advertised on their website wasn't impressive at all. Be aware there are no hot foods. It's a few pastries, some fresh fruit, what looks like store made granola and individual yogurt cups, some bagels/toast. We are staying for two nights but you're missing nothing by eating breakfast elsewhere. I was still hungry after eating the meager breakfast provided. Super 8 would probably has a better breakfast. The front desk also leaves and/or stops answering the phones by 11 pm so if you have an overnight emergency or need, I think you're on your own. Overall, what you're paying for is the view (if you get even that) and proximity to the small downtown area. There is outdoor inn parking in a lot across the street. You do have to walk across the street and downhill to get from parking lot to the inn which could be hairy in rainy or snowy weather.

We…read morehad previously been to Cape May, and this time wanted to try a B&B, and were so glad that we did. The Mason Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It is in a giant Victorian home, and I absolutely loved that they have kept the charm from that time period. We had booked the Decatur suite which is on the second floor. Our room was very spacious, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!!! The bathroom had both a standing shower and a jacuzzi tub. (I didn't use the tub so I can't comment on that). The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. We were also supplied with two super comfortable robes, which were so soft!!! The breakfast both mornings we were there was delicious, and both very different! The first morning we had a fruit salad with vanilla dressing, followed by a pineapple coconut oat bar with a side of bacon. I could have eaten the oat bar, which was similar to a baked oatmeal, all day long! It wasn't too sweet, and had the perfect amount of fruit. Our second morning, we had a brûlée banana with fresh berries and Chantilly cream followed by an egg and sausage casserole. It was SO good!!! Amy definitely does an amazing job with breakfast. The little touches that added a lot for me was the Bloody Mary bar at breakfast. I love a good Bloody Mary and The Mason Cottage provides all the fixings to make that happen. Also, in the afternoon from 3pm-4pm they put out some light snacks. We had cheese and crackers the first day, with these amazing creme brûlée tarts, our second day we had chips and salsa, an herb dip, and freshly baked cookies. The location is also phenomenal, you are one block from the beach, and one block from shopping! I am looking forward to our next trip, and we will definitely be staying at The Mason Cottage!
