I really wanted to love this place! Stephen our server was amazing! He was attentive and very patient with our party! He definitely set the tone of our evening. STEPHEN - you were amazingly patient and a gentleman with my kiddos ! Your services set the rating to a 4 star vs a 2 star The kids got to play as the musicians outside performed for the outdoor diners. The place is definitely kid friendly, family friendly as there is an adjacent dining hall with amazing air conditioning! Food - everything was amazing except for the brisket! It was dry as a bone for my 1/2 lb platter order. I was horrified and very disappointed. I loved the corn bread and ordered a side to go. The potato salad needed more mustard or something for a kick. The Mac and cheese dish was kid friendly! The Junior's cheesecake hit the mark as always! We live by the diner in Brooklyn! Overall, the bbq - only brisket to speak of - was dry as sandpaper.

Parking is great ! The place is huge with indoor and outdoor seating. We chose inside as it was windy. It is loud in there, which is perfect if you have kiddos. Waitresses were very nice and attentive. They did explain they have two kitchens, so food comes out as it is ready, not all at once. Which is fine. Appetizer was pork belly ! They was do good and the sauce was yummy ! My daughter had a hot dog and fries Husband had the red snapper and rice. The sauce was a curry , he said it was good. He also had a IPA and a Long Island iced Tea I had the mahi mahi tacos. Big pieces of fish, pickled onions and salsa verde sauce but it was bland. It would be better if it was mango salsa on top. We would come here again.

Been going here since it opened, and still a solid 4 stars because it offers what no other place in wildwood does: multiple bars in a huge space PLUS good food, house made brews and a full bar. It's always been a bit on the pricey side, and those prices have continued to climb over the years. Par for the course in this economy - just make sure you take care of your the staff when you tip - they don't set the prices. On to the food - consistently good. Good beer selection and bar tenders are on point. Cheesesteak was solid. Burgers are bomb. But gotta call them out for a $3 upcharge for onion rings when it literally came with four. Four onion rings puts them at over a dollar each which is WILD. That's gotta be a 1000% markup for the house. Do better. They were good. Better than most. But get real. Definitely check it out. Cool spot, and the bartenders, food runners, and back of house grind hard.

Sooooooo good! We went on Sunday afternoon for an early dinner and was immediately seated. My server was fantastic and I regrettably forget her name! The atmosphere is a total vibe with a live band and outside seating (in shaded area or not) or you can sit inside. The majority of people were outside enjoying the weather. The food was outstanding. We devoured the homemade chips too! My mojito was so strong which is not a bad thing when most people complain there isn't enough liquor. I can't wait to return.

This place was great! We enjoyed it so much that we ate here twice on our short visit in town. First time me and my husband came for lunch. I was introduced to "crushes". (I guess they are a thing in New Jersey... or maybe just in that area?) I got an orange one. It was fabulous!! So dang delicious. I asked how it was made and the waitress said that they use fresh squeezed OJ and house made triple sec. I'm certain that made the difference! It was also made with Kettle One Orange vodka. Against my better judgement, I got a second cocktail, and not the same thing. *so sad* I got a blueberry cosmo. It was fine but it wasn't amazing like the Orange Crush. My husband got a steak salad. There was legit a WHOLE steak on there! He enjoyed it a lot. I had a couple of bites and agree it was really good. I got the pulled pork sandwich, that was also tasty. The homemade potato chips were yummy too. The next visit, we took our son around brunch time. We all decided on breakfast that visit. I got another Orange Crush *yum*. We all enjoyed our breakfast. The potatoes that came with my breakfast sandwich were so flavorful! I highly recommend eating here.

First time at this restaurant. It was so cool inside and the food was really good. We had the Street corn appetizer the pulled pork platter and the Brisket Platter. Also the apple fritter with ice cream was fantastic. The brisket was so good the pulled pork was good but the he search continues for NC pulled pork.

The smoked pulled pork platter was delicious and enough for two to share.

Went to MudHen on a busy Saturday night and got lucky finding a parking spot in their second lot. They don't take reservations, but fortunately the place is huge. We were shown to a table upstairs which, for the two of us, was a lot more subdued than the downstairs area. We also had a good view of the football game on their many TVs, and there is a small, quiet bar upstairs. Our server was attentive and friendly. We started with cocktails, a beet and burrata salad, and 3 mini hot chicken sliders. The beet and burrata salad was good with the pesto, burrata, and balsamic combo being the stars of the show. However, I would have loved a few more beets instead of two bigger pieces. The hot chicken sliders with bbq sauce and pickles were also tasty, but the bread seemed more like a dinner bun than a sandwich roll. Additionally, the chicken pieces were quite small and didn't cover the roll. As an entree, we shared the smoked pulled pork platter with slaw, baked beans, and cornbread. The pulled pork was moist and delicious especially alongside the slightly spicy baked beans and was perfect for sharing. I would recommend MudHen especially if you're looking for a fun place to watch a game. You also don't have to be a beer drinker to enjoy the food and atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I were in Wildwood for a night on a Thursday in August. While we drove by that night, we didn't have time to stop in. We still wanted to try it out so we stopped in right at 11am when it opened on Friday morning and sat in the main dining room at the bar. Even though there was barely anyone there, so the atmosphere was kind of dead, we still had a great experience. The bartender was John who was a a great guy, and fellow high school teacher! We also talked with another man whose name I didn't catch - possibly a head brewer or manager - who offered us a sample of two different beers. We also had two flights between us, and everything we tried was excellent. The food was also incredible. My girlfriend had the BBQ meat lover Mac and cheese ($24), and I had the Cuban sandwich ($17). Both were incredibly flavorful and filling. The place is huge but I'm told it fills up and gets very crowded and noisy. But from what we experienced, the food, beer and service were all top notch, and we would definitely come back.

Located in the heart of Wildwood just a short stroll from the boardwalk, MudHen Brewing Company has quickly become a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike. The brewery opened in 2018, when owner Brendan Sciarra transformed a former Harley-Davidson dealership into what is now Wildwood's only full-service brewery and brewpub. MudHen's beer lineup is one of its biggest draws. The brewpub offers a rotating tap list of house-crafted beers that range from easy-drinking session ales to bold, hop-forward IPAs and rich seasonal offerings. Popular pours often include: 1883 IPA - a flagship IPA with floral and citrus notes and a crisp dry finish. MudHen Pils - a smooth, traditional pilsner brewed with German malt and noble hops. Wildwood Haze NEIPA - juicy, tropical-leaning New England IPA. MudHen Brewing Company You'll usually find 10-12 beers on tap at a time, and flights make it easy to sample a variety. In recognition of its craft and community presence, MudHen was named a 2025 Best of Jersey Shore Gold Winner for Best Brewery, a testament to its appeal beyond just Wildwood. While the beer is excellent, MudHen also scores big on food. The menu goes well beyond typical bar fare, offering hearty entrées, smoked barbecue, burgers, and inventive comfort dishes. Among the standout sandwiches is the Cuban -- a satisfying twist on the classic: smoked ham, pulled pork, and Swiss cheese smothered in tangy mayo with sliced sweet pickles on pressed ciabatta bread. SpotOn It's the sort of sandwich that pairs beautifully with a crisp pilsner or a hazy IPA -- salty, savory, and generously portioned. Inside, the brewery feels lively and welcoming, with multiple bars, plenty of seating, and a casual, beach-friendly atmosphere. Outdoor seating, biergarten space, live music, and frequent events make it a crowd-pleaser year-round -- not just in summer. Whether you're stopping in for a flight, settling in for dinner, or grabbing a beer to go, MudHen offers a solid blend of craft beer expertise and laid-back Jersey Shore hospitality. It's easy to see why it's become a favorite with tourists and regulars alike.

Consistently delicious fresh food no matter what season, which is a huge thing in a beach area. Excellent service all year round. They offer a great menu and drinks. Fun indoor and outdoor seating. Always my favorite go to. They offer lots of gluten free options.

I want to give this brewery 5 stars right off the rip because of how kind they were to my dad before we even ordered. He has a tough time getting around later and used a cane. He has a handicapped parking tag also. When he pulled into the parking lot, there was an attendant. All the spots were taken so this man MADE a spot for my dad. He treated my dad with dignity. We get a table and they are benches. The hostess realizes that my dad is going to struggle with this and immediately just puts a heavy duty chair in the end of the table. The server was friendly and kind, especially to my four year old. The place is massive. It was so hot out but everything was covered. It's loud but in a fun way. There are different places to sit based on your preferences. They had a band playing so we opted for outside. It wasn't too loud. The food was delicious. I wish the pretzels came with more beer cheese but that's my only gripe. I'm sure I could have asked for more. MudHen is an incredibly family friendly brewery. I'll be coming back in the future.

Great vibe and cool location, AND they have free parking, which is rare in this area! I loved everything except I am sad to report that the food was just ok. We started with a crab and spinach dip and it lacked flavor and the texture was too thick. For my main I got the caprese wedge; I'll be honest, I wish it was just a normal wedge. The textures were good with bacon and crispy onions, but the pesto AND balsamic were too much and frankly out of place.

The service is shit! 1000/10 do not recommend. We had reached out ahead if time to ask if there'd be room for a decent size group on a Tuesday to watch a championship game. They had that on one tv then on the other tvs were highlights and then a regular season baseball game. We got there had, to ask numerous times to put the game on the tv where we were sitting. Then a smaller group who was there for the baseball game ended up asking the bartender to change the game sound to the baseball game. Which we were confused because we were told that we would be good had we asked the bartenders and the MOD was aware. Well that wasn't the case. Now for the food.... Well there's a few different things that were missing or just unacceptable. I had ordered wings which when ordering asked some clarifying question and even asked to sample the sauce to see if I could handle it. I got the sauce. Tried it and it was bearable that I could eat them with ranch/ blue cheese and handle it. Well when the food came out. They didn't even taste the same. They were dry and not very saucy and they tasted like they just had hot sauce on it. I even asked someone who likes hot sauces to taste both the sample of the sauce as well as the wing and he immediately said there was a difference. On top of that, they forgot sauce on one cheesesteak and a side of sauce for someone else's fries that was requested... When the server(bartender) came back after awhile I had said that I couldn't eat the wings as they were too spicy and had requested if I could get the truffle Parmesan INSTEAD. when I went to hand the plate back as I did not want to eat the wings. He had asked me if I wanted a box for them. I said well I can't eat them they're too spicy. And he again said I can get you a box and I said I mean I won't eat them though and again mentioned the box and I said I mean i guess but I can't eat them. I asked for the replacement because I could not eat them. And I was fully prepared to give them back to be replaced. I also stated to get the other wings boxed up. We immediately also asked for checks as we were already not happy with the situation ongoing. When I received my check it showed that I was getting charged for 2 orders of wings and not just one. I did not want two orders of wings. I wanted one order that I would be able to eat because I couldn't eat the initial order that was served to me. When he came back to grab checks I explained that I wanted the other wings to replace the wings I was served which was why I didn't want the box. The man looked at me like I was speaking a different fucking language. Then when I proceeded to ask him to just cancel the 2nd order of wings and fix my check to reflect such, he questioned it like he was stunned that I even bothered asking. And to top it all off, as we were leaving they smirked and laughed like it was funny that we had a bad experience. I have worked all of my life in customer service type positions whether that be serving, bartending or other services and honestly it was actually sad that we come there for the first time and it is fully going to be the last as well. Do better.
