I completely understood when she had to leave for an appointment. However, my interaction with the second associate was very off-putting and ultimately changed my mind about making a purchase. As a first time mom, Crib & Kids was such a helpful place when making decisions regarding car seats, strollers, furniture and more. The store size is quite large and selection is wonderful for a local baby boutique store. We purchased our car seat, stroller, dresser/changing table and rocker here. I love the perks of shopping here such as their rewards program, military discount, free car seat installation/class when purchasing a car seat which we found so helpful! You get the customer support that you can't get from Nordstrom or Amazon. All the staff members are so knowledgeable and helpful, even delivery is awesome with white glove service where they deliver, set up and take away the boxes/trash. I stumbled upon this store when I was looking for a specific item and they were one of two locations in San Antonio to carry it. I really wish I would have found them sooner! The staff is very knowledgeable on each of their items and they are so friendly. They have a wide variety of products and price points to accommodate a variety of shoppers as well as a 3% bonus for shopping with them. It was nice to see the size of their store and the amount of items on display too. Since they are a local "boutique" my expectation was that they would be small, but they are not. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We have shopped here for years & spent thousands and thousands of dollars. We went to update our car seats & we're told we could exchange for a different color if we got home & did not like the color. This was told to us by the store manager. When we got home & didn't like the color we called & they revoked what they said. After years of shopping here & making all our big baby purchases with them we won't be back. Nick greeted us immediately and got a feel for our needs. Then, he gave us all the time we needed to get a feel for the store independently. Weeks later, we met back up with him and purchased our car seat. Next month, we'll start ticking off the essentials at Crib and Kids. Look no further. The level of service is unparalleled -- it's personable, in-depth (or as much detail as you want), and no-pressure. Store is large enough but not daunting. Selection is wonderful. This place has a great selection and showroom to see items in person that most places don't carry now that large competitor baby stores have closed. My reason for 3 stars is that I was visiting from out of town, and the employee helping us made it clear she didn't want to waste her time if we weren't setting up our registry there. I explained I wasn't from San Antonio and was visiting friends, but I was looking to peruse and buy a few baby items. She still insisted I needed to use them for my registry or else their store wouldn't stay open, and I would be wasting their time. After she said it three times, it turned into a very awkward sales experience. I don't think the employees mean to push customers away, but my friends had similar experiences that were odd. I recommend they work on showing they deserve business rather than directly begging and making customers feel uncomfortable. read more

He was also able to place my order over the telephone, so we worked everything out. Phone number for this business sounds like a personal phone number so I don't know if it's up to date. Hours changed got daughter ourt and then got to store and not open another hour after driving there. Update your hours on line as your customers are people with kids and this was an unnecessary trip for my daughter. Update: When I arrived to store it had paper sign stating 11 am. Both website and yelp stated 10 am two weeks ago when I made comment. Not sure why I paper sign would be there if hours were adjusted with note saying hours adjusted. We stumbled upon this local store when we were in the area and wanted to check out some baby things, and this store has it all! We were helped by Nick who is AMAZING! He was kind, knowledgeable, and most importantly, patient in answering all of our questions. Pros - They have a great collection of strollers, car seats, and rocking chairs to choose from - All their items are of high quality and well known brands (Nuna, Uppababy, Babyjogger, etc) - They have people who constantly rotate around the store and offer help to you. Everyone seemed super eager to help (but not the pushy kind of eager) and answer our questions - Nick introduced the different kinds of car seats available to us (infant and convertible) and also demonstrated how to install them into the car - They have the strollers out for you to try playing around with. I even saw them let a couple test try putting their baby into a car seat to see how it would fit on their baby - The entire store is welcoming and well organized - They have a spacious and squeaky clean restroom - They also have an annual Easter crack the egg discount event where you can save either on tax, 10%, 15%, and 20% on the items...we definitely came to the store at the right time! Overall, we were very pleased with the service at this store. We ordered our first baby's stroller and car seat from them, and I'm super excited to pick it up in the next few weeks (we were informed ahead of time that the items were backordered)! read more

Super impressed with this store. They have a little bit of everything, carriers, swaddles, cribs, car seats, outfits, etc. I bought a baby K'Tan carrier today and it fit perfectly. They even have the different carriers out so you can try them on. The customer service is what really impressed me the most. They are really dedicated to you getting the right gear for your baby and educating you on how to use it properly. I really wish I had come here when I was pregnant! We registered and purchased all furniture and gear for our daughter in 2014 from Crib and Kids. We loved the entire experience and products so much that now years later we're purchasing all furniture, additional car seats and other new items needed for baby number two from them again. They never explained or had any signs that explained that anything on sale was FINAL sale. All brands run different in sizes. This has to be *hands down* the best baby store in all of greater San Antonio (and Texas). When I was newly pregnant (and even before) I would stop by Crib & Kids and imagine all the beautiful and wonderful things I wanted to buy my new bundle of joy. My husband and I did end up buying a rocking chair, car seat and several little items for our little boy. Our little unicorn diaper bag is such a go to item for us, but the thing about Crib & Kids wasn't just the merchandise, the employees who worked there were beyond amazing! Every time I walked into the store they knew me by name and even remembered the gender of my baby. Having that sort of connection with a store just made it that much easier to keep going back for certain things that we needed. A friend recommended this place to me and I'm so happy she did! My husband and I loved everything about our Cribs & Kids experience. Our sales associate, Courtney, was so friendly, nice and knowledgable about everything we asked. She did not rush us and allowed us to take our time in our furniture decisions. The store was huge and they have about 10 different mock rooms so you can really see how all the furniture fits into the space together. They offer so many different varieties and styles of furniture. All of the mock rooms were decorated so cute that it was easy to imagine them in our house. They also had every type of stroller and car seat you can think of. The store was big enough that you could test drive strollers and pick out the perfect one. They sell mostly furniture and strollers, but had some clothes and other baby accessories too. I recommend this store to anyone expecting, whether it's your first or fifth!
