Came here earlier today to check it out (recently moved to the Northwest AR region)…read more A day use pass is $4. We decided to buy a year pass to the CORPS parks (which includes a ton of parks). http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/camping/corps/ A year pass was only $30. We drove down to the picnic/beach area. It had two playground areas that I could see. One was just swings and the other was a playground (slides, etc.). There were plenty of picnic tables and BBQ's. There is a designated "beach" area that is sandy. This time of year - July - the water was pretty warm and clear. We did not swim in the water - next time we will. We went on a Saturday in the morning time and it was not very crowded, but it seemed to start to fill up faster as it approached noon. Fun area to come with family and friends and enjoy some food and the lake on a hot summer day!

For our anniversary we took a long weekend to camp at Prairie Creek Campground (a CoE park). We…read morerented a pontoon boat for Saturday from the marina. (First of all, pricing for boat rentals is CRAZY, $700 for the day!) We (5 of us) get there at 9:00 that morning, ready to go. We check in, get assigned boat #5, we load a day's worth of "stuff" (2 coolers, food, floaties, towels, etc.), get our instructions, back out of the slip, and motor toward open water. As soon as we pass the "no wake zone" buoy the boat starts beeping. We turn around for the marina. Get back, go inside, and ... wait my turn. Tell them the boat is beeping. "Okay, we'll be with you in just a minute." So ... we wait. The guy who gave us our instructions comes back, and takes the boat out. Brings the boat back in, "yep, it's beeping." Volt meter says 11.4 volts. "I'll go get a new battery." We wait. He comes back with a new battery ... and no tools to install the battery. We wait. New battery is installed ... new battery doesn't solve the problem. "You'll have to go inside and talk to them." Inside: "We're 'sorry', all our boats are rented for the day. How far away do you live?" 5 hours. "Well, we can give you a refund or give you credit for another day." Um, no, I'll take the refund. We won't be back. So, all that to say this: Does the marina check the boats between rentals? Who knows. What we do know: they don't hold ANY boats back "just in case" something like this happens. Additionally: you were just renting ONE of their 10 (12 ... 15 ...?) boats. If they ruined your day because their boat doesn't work, they're "sorry". Beware of boat #5!

These people rock the face off of customer service and the lake life! We planned a SUPER last…read moreminute trip to the lake for the 4th of July. My kids have grown up in a state where fireworks aren't allowed because the entire state would ignite with just the thought of launching a bottle rocket. So we thought it would be a fun 'socially distanced' vacation to head to the lake! I grew up on a ski boat, visiting Table Rock as a kid/teen/20 something and have always LOVED it there. We frequented What's Up Doc and stayed in the Kimberling City area almost exclusively. I wanted to rent a boat for the entire week we were there. Pipe dream right? Last minute trip AND a boat?!? I called multiple times a day for 5 days in a row before we got there! Everybody was always so nice to me. Nobody was ever mean or annoyed that I kept calling By the time we arrived to our condo (which was also awesome) I just knew Jesse would find me a boat. We had been able to secure 2 different boats for the end of the week but I wanted one all week. We arrived Saturday afternoon on the 4th and less than 24 hours later I got the call from What's Up Dock that they had a boat for me!! And when we went to get it they said there was a cancelation and we got to keep it all week!! I was soooooo excited! Jesse and Sarah and their 'crew' are an amazing staff of well mannered, helpful humans. They made our experience at the lake exponentially better. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thanks guys!! We're working on coming back very soon

One thing they don't have... enough parking! On holidays this place gets packed and there just is not enough parking. The help is almost all teenage kids... they are nice and helpful but are kids... and thus act like it and lose attention and all. However there are a lot of them so generally there is someone usually that can and will help. There is only one bathroom here... that is a problem... especially when people want to change before getting on the boats. TIP: COME PREPARED TO GET ON THE BOAT AND LEAVE THE BATHROOM FOR THOSE THAT NEED A BATHROOM! I mean you know your coming to get on the water... come ready! We rented two pontoon boats, some skis and two tubes for all of us. We rented everything for the day... not cheap but reasonable considering... and we had a blast! A good place to get your fun on the lake "supplies".

It had noticeable vibrations the entire time, but as new renters, we had no idea that wasn't normal. It's very possible the propeller was already cracked before we took the boat out. At some point while we were boating, a piece apparently came off, but we had no way of knowing that had happened. When we asked about the age or history of the propeller, they refused to provide any information. They were also unwilling to negotiate or consider that the damage may have existed before our rental. My advice to anyone renting from them: inspect the boat carefully before leaving, take detailed photos and videos of the propeller and the entire boat, and return to the marina immediately if you notice anything unusual. Otherwise, you may end up being held responsible for damage you didn't cause. In our experience, the boats appear to be fairly worn, so documenting their condition before your rental is essential. I would not continue to pursue this matter if I believed, even for a moment, that we had caused the damage. If I thought we were responsible, I would accept that responsibility. I am only asking that Indian Point Marina fairly consider the possibility that a pre-existing condition or structural weakness existed before our rental and that this possibility be acknowledged as part of its evaluation of this claim.
