My car broke down on my way home. I was referred to Cricket Towing by Mr. Tire, the service station I pulled into. From start to finish Cricket Towing staff went above and beyond to help me. From the dispatcher, to the Tow Truck driver, Todd. They were super busy when I called. It was near the end of the day. I had to wait over an hour for the driver to get there, but they were honest and kept me informed. There were no unwanted surprises. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. They made a difficult situation as pleasant as possible. The driver Todd called me when he was 10 minutes away. The truck was clean. Todd was professional and friendly. Their rates are reasonable. My car died in the middle of my commute on a back road. I called Cricket and they had someone out to me in under a half hour. Wayne was AMAZING. My Audi has a neutral release that wasn't working but Wayne used skids and got it up on the truck then did more magic at the dealership to get it back off when even the service dept couldn't figure it out. So, we meet again. A breakdown this time; seems that I sheared the input shaft to transmission while making a bog standard right turn. Complete loss of power on all gears, even in 4WD, nothing but revs. Cricket was my first choice, and glad to see the reviews haven't dipped. Phone barely rang before they picked up, and credit to the dispatcher (also one of the drivers) for pulling over to take the call. The driver that responded showed up within the hour (30-45 min estimate, but he was finishing up a crash call, so I consider that more than reasonable) and was very nice. I live pretty close to the breakdown location, so he was kind enough to drop me off before heading to the trans shop. read more

Called to schedule a tow for my car to my mechanic to replace my transmission. The staff answering the phone was friendly. They were very reasonably priced and were able to pick up my car immediately. Even texted me to let me know that my car had been delivered to the mechanic! Would absolutely use them again, but certainly hope I don't need to. read more

Today was a miserable comedy of errors. On my way to an early dinner after a visit to the optometrist where I found out that my entire family of 4 needs prescription glasses, my rear breaks (replaced less than 7 months ago) exploded destroying my Rim and leaving me stranded at 4PM a quick call to AMEX roadside hooked me up with a different tow company that kept promising me a tow in 45 minute increments. finally at 7PM I cancelled that mess and got put in touch with Greg at Cticket Towing. With a new promise of 45 minutes I was skeptical. Low and behold Greg arrived at 7:30 ahead of schedule and was a real life saver. From now on it's Cricket or F*it. Thanks Greg. read more

The whole experience was scandalous and I wanted to share so that other people do not get taken advantage of.. My 61 year father was rear ended by a box truck off of 55 bypass by Wal-Mart in holly springs. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital. To all of our misfortune, Cricket towing were the ones on rotation with hspd and called to tow his truck away. There was so much dishonesty with our 48hr experience with these guys. The 1st time I called about picking up the truck (which was driveable), I was told the cost would be $250 flat because they "have a contract with hspd who sets the minimum rate at $225/hr". And while they normally charge $25/day for storage, hspd allows them to charge $35. I called hspd and they confirmed while they do have a contract with cricket and a lot of other towing companies, there is no set price. I called cricket back and informed them of their lie when the guy said he didn't have time to argue, would talk to his supervisor and call me back when he then hung up on me. He later called back and began asking why i was in such a hurry to pick up the truck and if the accident wasnt my fathers fault, he would be reimbursed for all of the towing and storage. When i told him it was my fathers daily driver and he couldn't get to work without it, he now said the price would be $125/hr @ 1.5 hrs with no storage fees if I picked the truck up in 48hrs. It was almost as if he was price gouging knowing everyone would get paid by the insurance company. I called to arrange a pickup time and big surprise the guy couldn't meet me for 5 hours. I didn't buy into the fact that no one could release the truck for 5 hours so I drove to the location and caught someone in the office who then also gave the run around and told me he couldn't release the vehicle and that Id have to call the driver. We finally got the driver to the lot and he mysteriously couldn't find the tow ticket with the original information and cost on it so he wrote out another ticket and back dated it. Please be aware of price gouging for towing when you're in an accident. After further investigation, this is very common but citizens do not speak up about it. If you experience this, inform the local police departments so they will eventually get tired of it And drop shady towing companies from rotation. This is not okay and cricket towing should be ashamed of kicking someone when they are down! read more
