The Worst Customer Service & Deceptive Sales Practices…read more In the middle of March 2022 I went into the AT&T store on SR60 to check out getting a new phone and new internet service. I was thinking that a bundle deal would possibly save me some money. I had a Samsung phone and did not want to be tied into a contract. I was very clear about this. My salesman David went to what I assumed was a manager, his name was Dana, to get advice on how to handle my request. Dana informed him that I could get $800 credit for my Samsung phone towards the new flip phone. I did not want to even pay $200 for a new phone and David went back to Dana. He asked me if I had AAA or AARP and I said I had both. He then come back to me and said I could get an additional $150 discount and the phone would only cost me $50 I would not be on a contract I could cancel anytime. This seemed to be a fantastic opportunity so I agreed. After my 1st billing cycle I came to find out that they took my phone and didn't give me an $800 credit. They gave me what will total and $800 credit after $30 a month for almost 3 years. This was never discussed with me at the time I was making a decision. This to me was a bait and switch. Very deceptive.Within the 1st 60 days the phone developed a white line on the screen.. I assume since I'm paying $17 a month for insurance on a phone that should be under warranty this would not be a problem. I went in to AT&T and saw my salesman David. David was very pleasant with me and tried to help me but again he went back to what I thought was a manager Dana for advice. Initially it was supposed to be covered under warranty and they would give me a new phone. Dana decided that the screen was cracked even though there's no crack on the screen itself he said it's not gonna be warranted because there's a crack behind the screen. I have no idea how it came to that conclusion but I'm not a cell phone expert.. He gave me a telephone number of the warranty place that I've been paying for and told me to call them. I sat down at the AT&T store and called from there. I found out that my deductible was $275 on a phone that was less than 60 days old. That was unacceptable. I went to Dana to remind him that the phone was sold to me never explained to me that I would have to pay for it for 3 years... it's a defective product and I was not gonna pay $275 additional. He was rude and told me that I had to pay the $275 there was nothing he could do about it. I. I then contacted AT&T who who were very helpful on the phone spent a long time with me to diagnose the phone and realize that it was under warranty but I would have to send the phone back to Samsung. Samsung would repair the phone but it would take 5 to 7 business days, and I would be without a phone for that amount of time. They told me the only one that could help me with the replacement phone would be the Carrier but the phone was under warranty. I went back when I found out Samsung did warranty the phone and spoke with Dana about getting a replacement. I have never been addressed in such a rude way. He was raising his voice asking me " what do you want me to do" .... I'm not a Cellphone representative, how would I know what to do? I'm presenting a problem and asking for a solution. Dana is definitely not management material, I say that because of the way he handled the situation. He raised his voice and was rude. When I told him that he was not acting like a manager, he was being confrontational and not trying to find a solution. At that point inform me he was not a manager. That was not hard to believe, since he was treating a customer in such a rude way. Other customers walked out of the store because of the way he was addressing me. I can't get anyone to take responsibility. I am the one that's going to have to purchase another phone so I am not without communications for 7 days. I'm a realtor and a recruiter, I cannot be without communication for a week. I wish I hadn't taken this ridiculou's & defective phone. I wish I was dealing with a company that stood behind their products. I wish I went into a store that had honest sales people. This location only cares about new customers coming in, they only want you buy the phone and go away, your on your own.. Beware. Go somewhere else.

Went in today we were waiting for a good 5 minutes they had two clerks with customers . They both…read morehave the worst customer service on earth I would of thought they would at least said we will be right with you but no all they did was look up and just continue working with thier customers. So we ended up leaving because we felt like we would be waiting they forever I have always had great service with AT&T but this location had bad customer service they need to be re train on how to greet customers.
