This is the Job Joanne did at our house. Horrible don't let her near you. Way Overpriced shop elsewhere. The grass died. We watered it .

OVER-PRICED!! unless your buying gold plants . The grass she installed died and was set up to be watered as prescribed. She sent a bill 2 months after completion saying we owed her more money????? For Dead Grass??

This nursery is wonderful and has such a unique vibe. It is incredibly charming! The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Most importantly, the plants are very well cared for. As a plant mama, I know their prices may be a little bit more than if you were to buy from bigger named places like Lowe's and Home Depot but quality is very important! Support small businesses if you can and shop local. Follow their Instagram for updates! They are active on their account and post often on their stories when they restock. Heads up: If you are using google maps to get here, slow down a little as you approach or you might miss the small lot. I didn't and definitely bumped my tire on the sidewalk.

I've driven by Cricklewood literally hundreds of times over the years, apparently, and yet I had no clue what it was or how charming this place was to walk through. I ended up not buying anything today because I'm just browsing, planning a succulent garden right now, but all their prices I thought were very reasonable compared to some of the other places in town with outrageous markups. There was such a peaceful atmosphere to the place, I have half a mind to show up at 5 am with a thermos of coffee and a lawn chair, enjoy my mornings in the little secret garden vibe they've got going on.

I absolutely love this local nursery!!! A hidden treasure in town for sure! Thanks to my plant and gardening groups. It was posted and recommended by a few members so I decided to check them out. So glad it finally had time to go. They have a great selection of plants, both indoor and outdoor plants. And a variety of succulents and cacti as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit of a hassle... not very easy to get in and out. They are only open a few days a week and hours are limited but if you do find time to go it is worth it.

I needed some new plants to spruce up the vibe in my room and I came across the most wonderful thing, this place is definitely worth coming to if you're In need of a simple tree or a beautiful flower, also a cute date idea!

I'm so glad I finally stopped into this secret garden - after years and years of passing by. Cricklewood is a true secret garden and total Oasis in the city of Bakersfield. Located on Brundage Road you may never have paid it any attention. Blink and you'll miss it! The parking lot is pretty tight and non-existent but visit during the weekend and you'll have extra space in front of the print-shop that isn't open. You can always parking in the side street too. When we arrived it was pretty busy. The garden is small, narrow, and tight in many places which can be uncomfortable for some and may be difficult for children or those with mobility issues. In fact, wheelchair accessibility may be rough since much of the ground is uneven. Just take note! We were able to meander around and check everything out. Everywhere you looked there was something to see. There was even a large greenhouse with tons of indoor plants. Need a special planter? This is your spot! They had tons of unique planters in all shapes and sizes. All with really great prices that rival any big box store. Inside their gift shop is like a transport back into time. Everything about it is cozy and inviting. I could have easily made myself at home in their comfy chairs with a cup of tea and a good book. I was able to purchase a gorgeous bromeliad for my mother-in-law on for Mother's Day and will definitely be returning to explore more. Everything about this place fuels my soul and is an instant serotonin boost.

The two ladies that work here are very calm and collected ladies. They have been here for over two decades and i can say they've been doing a great job. This place is so lovely. I went on a rainy day and i felt like it wasn't even in Bakersfield but in a forest ! I got 4 beautiful plants for not too bad of a price. Most things are VERY pricey but if you look around hard enough you will find great deal. Even comes with a displayed house which was quite cool.

I had heard about this place from multiple people so I finally decided to go for a drive with my daughter. O-M-G!! I loved everything about this nursery. The plants are in great condition and they have a wide variety of them in their greenhouse.

I love coming to this nursery. It's seriously the secret garden of Bakersfield. I love how it's so aesthetically pleasing and calming even tho it's on one of the most busiest streets. I love when they have different plants to offer that aren't found at other nurseries or big box stores. They also have 4inch potted plants! I love them small as I can make room for more plants

You'd miss this place if you blink!! But it is the best place for a nursery!! Its absolutely so tranquil and beautiful. They have garden concrete furniture, decorations, pots, glass vases, a shop with lots of cute ideas and knick knacks. Beautiful selection of plants, trees, succulents. You can go wrong, you'll find so much to love! The girls that work there are very friendly and helpful.

This place is the stuff of your fanciful childhood dreams. If you are fan of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett you will love this place. It is a lush garden paradise almost completely shaded by climbing greenery. There are many water features to admire, a resident cat (who acts more like a dog), coffee, and a greenhouse. This place always makes me feel like I'm in a small English cottage. It's like being transported to England right in the middle of Bakersfield. One of Bakersfield's best kept secrets!

I went here with a friend/neighbor who loves this place and I was so excited to see how cute this place is!!! I was in ah! I love how their is a parlor there too. The set up was cute and the variety of plants, succulents cacti and more was great. Prices not too bad on the plants. I went with a flowering kale I was being good and bought one item! We also ran into a woman who is in our Bakersfield succulent group my friend and I created so that was nice to meet her!!

The workers there are friendly and helpful but Susie is who I look for when I go! I always take her advice and she's never steered me wrong! She truly cares about her plants, a few years ago she sent a giant fiddle leaf fig that I purchased from them in a box truck to my house free of charge because it would have been damaged in my truck and she didn't have to do that! She will also look at photos of trees they've planted for you and tell you how to help them if they're struggling but that's never happened to us. Everything they plant for us thrives! They just left after planting five trees for me and they sent a crew of five men, all who were so nice and professional. They asked me multiple times throughout the job if I liked the placement or if I wanted anything changed and they finished super quickly and cleaned everything up when they left! They even checked our sprinklers to make sure they didn't break anything which no landscaper or worker has ever done for us. We will only use Bolles!

Eventually this man approached me and asked if I had any questions. I asked him about shade trees, trees with non invasive roots. I also wanted a few flowering plums trees. They were priced at $45.00. Not knowing what trees cost these days, I thought of driving to 2 other nurseries to get an idea. I mentioned to him, I live a mile away and will be back to get some trees. This nursery was short on ground covers and annual flowers. They had a lot of trees and shrubs. Next stop was this nursery on Allen Road. Hmm, it was crowded and I barely found a spot to park. I asked to see some trees and was directed towards the back. Wow, same trees in the same pot cost $20+ more! This nursery sure had a lot choices for annuals, shaded plants like the Japanese Maple. Last stop, a nursery on Norris Road. Not as expensive compared to my 2nd stop. Not much tree selection but definitely had a lot of ground covers, annuals and shrubs. If you are looking for trees to plant here in Bakersfield, Monte Vista is the nursery. Cheapest price for healthy trees.
