For the extremely short amount of time my nephew has spent in this facility, there has been an abundance of problems that could have been avoided had my nephew's caretakers put forth more effort and showed less negligence. The first day he came home with dried saliva and food on his face and his shirt was also covered in food. Dirty clothes are not much of a problem but when you combine that with the lack of effort to clean up a child's dirty FACE, who cannot do it himself, that says a lot about the quality of care you offer at this facility. The second occasion, my nephew came home with a bruise on his forehead. When we spoke with his substitute, her exact words were, 'They have to write an incident report and tell the parents what happened.' Not only did we NOT get notified about this prior to picking him up, they also did not have an incident report written up! My nephew has microcephaly and anything that happens in or around his head may have an effect on his health. For his parents to pick him up and see a huge red mark on his forehead without any prior notice from the caretaker, that is unacceptable. On another occasion, the caretaker did not thoroughly wipe my nephew prior to changing his diaper. Why is it that when I come home and change him, I still see remnants of feces??? When we called the facility and spoke with the director to respectfully give them a 2 week notice that we will be withdrawing him from this place- her exact words were 'You did not have to give us a notice, you can withdraw him now.' Though there is not much you can say to make the situation better, I would have respected this facility more had you approached my dilemma with a bit more grace and manners. Overall, we pay way too much for this quality of care. My nephew is a happy baby and a baby filled with joy. When we drop him off and he starts bawling, that is a measure of how bad this facility is. Do note though, that this is not his first daycare. We have been to others who offered quality services and exceptional caretakers that go above and beyond for him. This level of negligence needs to be fixed so other children can get the care they truly deserve and not half-assed teachers who won't even bother to love and care for a special need's baby. I will never recommend this facility to anyone. I will be in contact with the the Kindercare agency and the GA Department of Early Care and Learning about this specific location. The daycare in which my child was able to get lost for an hour and a half due to it being as large as a Childtime type facility where there are too many kids and any child can come up missing. Also, they were negligent in knowing if my child was sick so with my child having a history a febrile seizures my child would literally fall out from a fever and hit the ground in those hard floor classes and that was my last straw. My co-worker then told me about Mrs. Dennis's daycare and advised that his twins were being well taken care of and so I met Mrs. Dennis and I haven't ever regretted a day, after almost 6 years of knowing her. She was amazing she knew my child was not feeling well and she never would allow sick kids be in the facility till the fever's were not in their systems. Needless to say, my child never caught a cold or had a seizure at her facility due to her constant cleanliness of the school and as well as her making sure people don't just drop their sick kids off and make the whole school sick. It's amazing how people have issues with her school but the ones that have known her for years and have kids out of school don't get on here to say negative things. People really need to get their facts straight and stop putting negative and false information out on her school. The truth is she is always professional, she is compassionate and one of the most selfless daycare owner's I have ever met. She loves all of the kids in her school and she would give you the shirt off her back if necessary. She is a very humble and giving person and I love her and her family. She has done well by me and many other parents I know. So when I see negative reviews it makes me absolutely disgusted and livid because people are trashy and just let any old trash come out their mouths when they are jealous or envious or even just in a negative space themselves. So I must put this out there if you are thinking about bringing your child to her daycare meet her for yourself and speak with her yourself before you listen to any old falsified information and make your own informed decision after meeting her. My child is doing great in school thanks to what she was taught at this daycare and she continues to excel. Still till this day I bring her by if my child needs help and my child is already in 4th grade. I stand by my daycare because she raised my child and my nieces and nephews and is still helping to raise some of the brightest kids in the community because she is passionate about these kids, their learning,their well being and safety. At her facility your child is not another number they have a name in which she knows all her kids, knows all their personalities and is not going to let anything happen to your child on her watch.
