Platters and additional serving ware with octopus and shrimp themes. Unique and customer friendly service.

Great specialty local food store and unique gifts! We sampled smoked salmon and cheeses, also found Bedford local sodas (Marionberry Crème Soda and Ginger Beer). Beautiful selection of serving ware and Viking themed drinking horns.

Some of the best smoked salmon we've ever had, we purchased here! I only wish we had bought a larger bag, because it was gone within six hours of arriving back home! Couple that with a savory array of cheeses, spices, sauces, meats, eats and other treats, and you end up with one of my favorite stores in Poulsbo! This is the kind of place that fuels the fire of our food-tourism tendencies! An absolute must-stop in Poulsbo!

Cheese is a dairy product made by fermenting milk and draining off the excess liquid. Depending on the style, cheese can range in flavor from mild and sweet to savory and nutty to funky and pungent. It can be soft and spreadable, creamy and smooth, or firm and crumbly. It's been enjoyed in cultures around the world for thousands of years, and today, cheesemaking takes place on every continent except Antarctica. In Seattle's Pike Place Market, visitors to Beecher's Handmade Cheese have a cheese lover's dream come true. They watched a glass-walled cheesemaking kitchen firsthand on the crafting of their signature favorite, Flagship cheese, as well as many of the other award-winning cheeses when my partner, his family, and I visited in July. To our surprise, there was no wait when we arrived, which was unexpected given how popular this place is. Bite sizes of Flagship and Marco Polo cheese were available for samplings. From the very first bite, we were hooked by its rich, creamy texture and perfectly balanced flavors. While there is no dine-in option, it's strictly a pickup spot. Surrounded by the lively buzz of locals and tourists, visiting this establishment feels like a quintessential Seattle moment.

Expect long lines and sold-out items late in the day--the Smoked Salmon Mac and Cheese and all sandwiches were already gone! We got the World's Famous Mac and Cheese instead, and it was solid. I loved it so much, I made a second trip just before heading back to Seattle. As much as I love a quick jaunt from Seattle, they do sell their products at two of Seattle's largest farmers markets and you can place orders online. The Gouda is next level!!! Run don't walk. This place will knock your socks off.
