You can see on the before pictures it was really rough. I did my research before going to Crisol Metal Finishing and spoke with Esmeralda who was very friendly and understood what I needed. They were also the best in pricing compared to the other places I got quotes from. They provided me with a video to let me know of the process and communication was great. Their job was impeccable as seen on the after images and I was so satisfied I am taking them my lounge chairs next. I had a steel bumper for my truck powder coated here, as well as a number of bolts for my wheels. Prices were very reasonable and a lot lower than other places in the area. Esmerelda was great to deal with and her communication was fantastic throughout the whole process. Its been over a year and the finish on my bumper still looks great so I think I can finally give this place the thumbs up it deserves. Unfortunately, I did have one minor issue. When I dropped off my bumper at the shop, it was perfect. I know this because I spent a couple hours smoothing over rough edges and rounding corners with a file before bringing it to them. However, when it was returned to me, one of the corners was dinged, as if it had been dropped. The coating was then applied over the ding. It was kind of a bummer, but I did not complain since the location of the ding is not visible from eye level when standing in front of the truck. Overall, I would still highly recommend this place, especially considering the value. I would only suggest thoroughly inspecting all your stuff before you sign off on anything. read more

I had a piece of garden furniture from the sixties sandblasted and powder coated at Crisol Metal Finishing. This place is amazing, reasonable in price (lower than their competition), quick in getting it done, and most importantly, they did a perfect job, the chair looks like new, without exaggeration! I have more furniture to renew as it has become very rusty, and I definitely will have it done at this place. Will later upload some before and after pictures. People are very friendly at this place, I dealt with Esmeralda, she is great. Update in February 2018: had 5 additional vintage chairs, three of them Bertoia diamond chairs, redone at Crisol Metal Finishing, they did a great job, they look like new, had been very rusty before as you will see in the attached pictures. If they dont have the color you want in stock, they'll order it for you. I had a certain Prismatic Powder color in mind, we sat down at the computer and ordered it right then and there. This service, tucked away in an industrial area, focuses mainly on large scale coatings for manufacturing companies. However, they welcome small jobs from hobbyists too. I brought a set of steel wheels in for sandblasting and powder coating and they came out great. The only thing was it took a couple of weeks to work around the bigger jobs. They said there was a backlog at the sandblasters. Powder coating places generally don't also do their own sandblasting because the stray dust would contaminate the painting process. But the price was way cheaper than other services and the quality was just as good. They were also very friendly and didn't mind spending the time helping me pick out the best color, of which they had a lot to choose from. Another shop I went to had a lot fewer colors and wanted to charge me a lot more for one of the colors on the chart that they didn't have in stock. read more

It's long overdue that I post a review for Crisol Metal Finishing! I entrusted several projects to this family owned business and they have never disappointed. They have powder coated parts on both my motorcycles, table saw and my mustang roll cage. All my dealings were with Esmeralda who is the daughter of the original owner. She is always very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. My table saw project in particular required a lot of difficult masking to get the results I was after, and it turned out incredible! They completed all the sandblasting and powder coating on both steel/chomoly, aluminum and iron. In all cases I was very pleased with the quality. In addition to that, the pricing is incredibly low and the turnaround is quick. I'll stress one more time, you will NOT find a more inexpensive place to get powder coating work done in the South Bay. Inexpensive and quality work, should I just stop my review here? Not a chance... When you walk into their shop, you can see that they largely work with large businesses doing mass production of items such as gym equipment, brake calipers and gates to just mention a few. This said, Esmeralda has told me on several occasions that they really value doing work with the community. It's apparent that this is true as you always see at least a dozen small piles of parts around the shop from various owners like myself with different specialty items to get sandblasted and powder coated. Anything from bike frames, antiques to car/motorcycle parts. My guess is, if it's a metal, they can, and are willing to powder coat it. I work with a lot of other gearheads in my industry and have sense shared their business card among my friends. I always here compliments on their work and have no doubt that you won't be disappointed if you give them a project. I warn you though, once you start powder coating stuff, it can become an addiction! If metal arms ever become an option in the future, I'll be taking them to Crisol Metal Finishing for powdercoating! If I could give Crisol six stars I would. I picked up my order of 60 pieces yesterday and I'm beyond pleased with the workmanship preformed by Crisol. There was a total of six colors among the 60 pieces so they had to change and clean guns between each job. These are the cabinet knobs and backing plates for a 1978 Avion travel trailer that I am bring back to life. They are very friendly and everyone working there seems to enjoy their work and it shows in the results. You see all sizes of metal items staged for finishing, no job is too big or small! Even saw a auto bench seat spring set waiting. Can't say enough good things about Crisol, will use again when needed and recommend to anyone who asks. read more
