I was referred to this business by my mechanic (Main Automotive, Santa Maria...don't trust your vehicle to anyone else) who quipped, Jamie does fabulous work. We shall see. The work needed today was the reupholstering of my F-250 Super Duty truck front bottom drivers seat. The process: removal of the driver's seat, clean up the cab floor on the driver's side where seat was, remove old seat upholstery, install additional "foam and foam collar", upholster bottom of driver's seat with new leather cover and finally reinstall driver's seat. Jamie was on it within minutes and I was allowed to wait for the job completion. Nice! The workshop is loaded with fabrics and vinyl...as Jamie also performs his craft on things like furniture, cars and boats. Jaime's Upholstery has been in this location for more than 5 years and Jamie says business is really good. I arrived at 10AM and Mr. Burgos completed the job by 12:05PM! He was quick, professional and informative in answering any questions I had...not only a craftsman, but his customer service was excellent. Needless to say...the seat was reupholstered with additional "foam" insulation installed, to cushion my ride and complete the job with extra care. WOW...it feels impressive! The cost (well under $250 dollars) which was more than reasonable considering the material, work performed and the over 2 hours in labor. Today, on this occasion and in this Yelper's opinion...Jamie's Upholstery (Jamie Burgos) in Santa Maria truly earned this "highly recommend - don't throw it out, reupholster it at Jamie's" 5 Star review!

I just recently purchased a car that needed the convertible rear window seam fixed so I naturally searched google and here (YELP) to see what came up, having never needed an upholstery shop in the past I wanted to see what my local options were. Instead of calling I like to meet face to face when it comes to car stuff in order to see who I feel most comfortable leaving my car with and hopefully to build lasting connections since I modify a lot of cars. Leo's was at the top of the list in my online search so I visited them first. I met with who I believe was Leo and explained what I was looking for, he looked over my car and gave me a quick quote. He then offered to grab a business card so I can call when I'm ready. I said "I would love one because I just picked up the car and never used anyone for upholstery so I'm shopping around". This is where the whole experience unexpectedly turned. Leo instantly changed his tone with an almost child like response of "well I'm not going to give you my card if you're shopping around...that's a waste of my time...you're wasting my time". Keep in mind he was already walking away to grab the card from his office and we've only been talking for no more than 5 or 6 minutes. I was shocked to hear this response and asked why he thought I was wasting his time (which must be extremely valuable if he can't spare 5 minutes for a potential new customer). He responded with "you're shopping around, you're not going to come back, my price can't compete with others" etc. I tried to tell him he was the first place I've been to and naturally like any consumer I'm going to go around to a few places, get quotes, check out their work, ask friends if they recommend them, etc. before I make a decision but I couldn't get a word in. He continued ranting, saying he does quality work (which I don't doubt judging by other reviews and photos) and I'm not going to pay for his quality of work so I can go somewhere else as he proceeded to walk away. I was shocked that in a matter of me telling him "yes, I would love a card" that he felt the need to assume I was looking for a bargain fix, and even if I was, he decided to throw out all customer service skills a business owner should have when reacting with a potential customer. The irony of all this, and why I'm giving two stars and not one, is because Leo's price was actually one of the cheaper prices I was quoted that day so had he not freaked out on me and treated me like a real customer I would've been back that afternoon to book my appointment based on the combination of the quality of work, price, and my initial impression of him...until his unwarranted attitude change. This is a heads up for people shopping around, I'd only recommend Leo's if you undoubtedly know you're going to book an appointment upon your visit because the prices are fair and the work looked good, however the customer service is a crapshoot based on my visit and to me that goes a long ways.

My husband and I took some chair cushions in to Leo's on a saturday morning to have them re-stuffed…read morewith foam. When we arrived, we met Lisa who helped us decide what kind of foam to use, measured the cushions and called Leo to get a price. The cost was less than $75 for both cushions. We were told they would be ready on monday. Monday arrived and Lisa called me with an update, and said that there was a bit of a problem and I needed to call her back. The problem was simple, there were some tears in the seam (where D rings had been), and he wanted to know if we wanted new d-rings or just to sew the holes up. We decided to sew the holes up, and Leo said our cushions would be ready in 15 minutes! He sewed them up perfectly, our cushions have never been better, and the price was perfect. We're very happy with our experience at Leo's and will be back when we have more work for them!

It's essentially an accordion-style convertible top that is very cool....until it breaks. After only months of owning my used Jeep, the Sky Slider roof broke and wouldn't close all the way. I took it to Jeep and they said it would be around $4,000 to fix and that it would probably just break again. They suggested I go to a body shop, cut off the entire top and replace it with a whole new metal hard top for again, thousands of dollars. I looked online and learned that this rare feature is known to break over and over, leak, etc. Jeep refuses to provide a recall (don't get me started). So, I contacted several mechanics and none were willing to help at least just get it locked closed. It is a feature none of them had seen and they did not want to mess with it. Finally, I contacted Glenn at The Top Shop. He admitted that he had never seen the Sky Slider feature before but he was willing to give getting it closed a try. He came up with a creative solution to get it closed and I am very grateful. Glenn even suggested ways to further seal it if it gives me any trouble with leaking down the road. He charged me a minimal amount and was honest and straight forward. I would highly recommend The Top Shop!

I put out a bid on Yelp to do the carpets and wash my 2013 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Cristian's emailed me back in five minutes. He asked me a little bit about my van and I asked for the price. The price was extremely reasonable and we set up a time for him to show up. He called and said he could come earlier which was great. After 3 1/2 hours of hard work my van looks as good as the day it came off the lot. I could not be more impressed with the work done. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Hello everyone, if you're looking for someone to Buff &Polish your car you're looking at the best one in the Central Coast.
