Bishop is so thankful
Jackie M.

You have got to go to Critter Clips they are the best in town!!! I was a walk in for my bunnies nails to be clipped and Terry (I believe her name is) did a fabulous job in spite of bishop being a little rambunctious. The other gal, who was cutting Bishop nails also did a fabulous job!! Thank you both and I hope to see you again if you will allow Bishop back!! If you have an animal that has a difficult time getting his/her nails clipped this is a place for you, they are kind respectful of your animal, and truly love their job...and it shows!! Thank you again !!

I have used Critter clips for the oast 3 years for my Bernedoodles. They are reasonably priced and do a great job.

Hard to see in the shadow, but the "knicked" paw pad.

If groomers had state license requirements I'd file a complaint on theirs, but this yelp review will have to suffice. I should've heeded the other reviews. This was my 2nd time using Critter Clips. $75 for a large groom is unheard of, but shame on me because ya get what you pay for. After my pups last groom here I had concerns about a long scratch on his inner thigh, but understanding this is a school and accidents happen (even at experienced groomers) I decided to come back. I made sure to mention the scratch directly to the owner at drop off and she assured me it wouldn't happen again. Said something like "I know exactly how that happened, I'll talk to her." I want to emphasize my dog was not matted. He gets brushed regularly and the owner even asserted he was well kept when I apologized for all the dirt because we'd just come from the park. He's been groomed every 6 weeks for two years and is trained to be a good boy for the process. I say this in case they try to dispute what's below by lying. The owner even told me he did well when I asked at pick up. At first he seemed fine. I even left a tip! Got home and noticed a bald spot on his ribs where they shaved way too close. Couple hours later he's licking at his ankle pretty incessantly so I did a more thorough examination. They knicked the paw pad at his ankle on his front foot severely enough that a little piece was hanging off. Reminded me of when I catch skin shaving my leg. Luckily I have a doggie first aid kit so I cleaned it up and put EnteDerm on the wound. He's had to wear a sock all day to prevent licking so of course he's doubly miserable. There're also scratches in the crease of his thigh as well as multiple other spots where they shaved way way too close, all the way down to the skin. The owner checked us out at pick up personally and didn't mention any of this, not even the bald spot which would have been obvious right away, unlike the wounds which I can concede may not have been evident in the moment if they didn't bleed. In my mind these students had guidance and accountability when entrusted with peoples pets, but apparently it's a free for all back there. Don't event want to imagine what my guy went through that didn't leave a mark. Suffice to say we won't be going back.

They did an awesome job with my tiny yorkie ! She was in desperate need for a grooming. I was very happy with the results. Will definitely be going back.

I used the coupon and I guess That means you don't take time to do it correctly. My cats main was crooked, her leges were not blended well at all and her shave is not smooth. I don't think she was washed either. I told them I bath her and she does not need dry shampoo When I mentioned it I was told that happens when they get tired of being groomed. She has been groomed many times and that has never been an issue.

My old fellow Mars he goes again next week

This review is way overdue; Several years ago, I hired Matt Rogers to pet sit my Pug for couple of…read moreweeks in a stay home basis;we live in Southern California. we had a trip coming, and few days before we left on our trip, I took my dog to the vet for a check up and regular vaccines; I also asked one of my sisters to stop by once in a while to check on Rocky ( my Pug). In one occasion, she stopped by to check on Rocky and I do not know until know what is what she found out, that she had to fired Rogers. I messaged her from abroad, and she only told me that she had arrived, and found my dog in a bad condition, and she just said " I think that guy is nuts", I asked her what happened, and she did not want me to worry about; she continue to say... I am sorry, however, I had to ask your dog sitter to leave; Rocky is not doing well, I will be taking care of Rocky now. She took my dog to the vet. We were about to return from our trip. When we finally got home, Rocky was still not feeling well; his rear was very sore, inflamed; he was very stressed out, he looked sad; very different than the way he usually was. I asked my sister what is what she found out when she came by the house to check on my dog, and she just told me, "I do not want you to stress out more, however, I think that guys is nuts, do not hire him again". I never found out what is what she saw, or in what condition she found my dog? The pet sitter was staying over- night at my house; so I have no idea what went on. My dog never recovered, his personality was drastically changed, he looked sad and afraid; he was not longer the happy playful dog. I was devastated and feeling guilty that I hired some one else to take care of him. My sister was the one who usually took care of my dog every time we went out, however, this time I did not want to bother her, and decided to hire a pet sitter. Totally regret it!

I did some research online and stumbled across Matt at Roger's Pet Care. I was very glad I did. Matt took the time to come over and meet Dexter prior to my departure, and within the first few minutes I could tell he really loved animals. He was courteous, took copious notes on Dexter's care, and I felt really comfortable having him watch Dexter while I was away. His pricing is very reasonable, and he even sent me a few photos of my little guy throughout the trip to let me know he was okay. I highly recommend Roger's Pet Care if you don't want the price, hassle, and stress put on your animals by boarding them while you're away.

The good: I was impressed with owner Susan's responsiveness during my initial call. She was friendly, helpful, and walked me through the process. Our meet‑and‑greet was scheduled a couple of weeks out, and the sitter we met was friendly and someone I felt comfortable with. Where things fell short: During our first three‑night trip, I was surprised to see a different person in our home for almost every visit -- four sitters total, only one of whom we had met. This was never communicated to us, and the rotating sitters did not seem familiar with our home or our dogs. Additionally, the time between the evening and morning visits was consistently 12-13 hours, which is longer than we were comfortable with (and documented in their portal notes). Our second and third bookings were short and uneventful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was not positive. Our dogs were not walked for the first two days because the assigned sitter reported they were "too sick" to walk them. I'm unsure why someone unable to perform basic duties was sent to our home. When I contacted Susan, she did not recognize my name, address, or dogs, despite having personally cared for them on a previous visit. She did step in to take over the remaining visits, which I appreciated. However, on Sunday -- the day before our return -- she called to say there had been an accident in the house and that it was "messy." She preferred to leave it to "solidify" because it would be easier to clean later. I strongly disagreed and directed her to the cleaning supplies. She was argumentative but said she would return to clean it. We arrived home the next day around 2 p.m. to find feces throughout the house, clearly from the prior morning. It was crusted, smelled like a kennel, and had been tracked everywhere by the dogs. This was despite three additional visits after the accident occurred. Since returning home, I have attempted multiple times to reconnect with Susan to discuss what happened. Communication has been minimal, and the responses I have received have been excuses rather than accountability. Bottom line: This is marketed as a premium service, but our experience did not reflect that. Between the lack of communication, rotating sitters, long gaps between visits, and the unacceptable handling of the most recent incident, the service has not been worth the cost, the stress, or the cleanup afterward. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.
