It was funny having pigs under the house sleeping. I sat on the porch and listened to them snore, it was a riot. I've never heard a pig snore. That means that all of the products in the store come from either a local artist or are made by small companies that are supporting a specific cause. There are blankets made by women leaving domestic violence relationships and learning new skills. There are woodworking products made by convicts who have been released and are in need of a job. There is jewelry from El Salvador made by residents who are being supported by a living wage. The shop is pretty awesome, and I cannot wait to watch it grow and gain more product! If anyone knows of local artists or companies that would fit their mission, they are looking for vendors!

They did not give us any notice and we visit each monthto cook a meal and I find it offensive that they are now background checking each person on each visit and taking a photo of you. I have nothing to hide except that I find it offensive that I was not notified before hand B. I have to buy all the food I bring in C. They don't have staples and sometimes you need salt and pepper or butter and I don't expect to have to buy that and bring that in. We always make a meal from scratch and this is a very distressing issue. I don't think i'm going to be volunteering there anytime soon.

Anyway, I got a flat and could not change the tire. I went to three auto parts places and bought the size (thin-walled socket) that would fit in there. None of them worked!! A friend suggested Repurpose/Reuse spot. I went in there, and explained it to the attendant. He found a box of mismatched sockets, and I bought two of them FOR A DOLLAR EACH!! It worked!! I was so happy!! Next time I am coming here first!! I also want to go back and check out their tools and other stuff that I did not have time to look at!
