    Quesadillas
    Camila S.

I've eaten at croc's 4/5 times I've visited the Omni Resort and this last time was definitely the biggest let down. The quesadilla order is the only reason why I gave this review an extra star. It's an average quesadilla, nothing memorable. The acai bowl (if you can call it that) was $13 for a tiny scoop of terrible tasting "acai"and fruit just scattered around. It was nothing like the typical "acai bowl" that is universally known. The consistency was also nearly frozen. My pregnant sister-in-law also ordered it and agreed - she couldn't even really eat it bc it made her nauseous. I believe this was a seasonal item so it doesn't seem to be available on the menu anymore (thankfully) but if it ever does return, let this be your warning not to order it.

Run runner and Tequila Paloma - compliments of Tuan the bar tender

This place is awesome. First of all they make the best Rum Runners. Tuan, the bar tender made it for us, even though it wasn't in the menu. He can make anything! I remember him from last year. And I was so happy to see him. He gives the best service and does it with a smile. We were so happy to see him again- a year later!

This is a nice poolside bar and grill at the Omni resort outside of Orlando. The food is great for being poolside. Not the usual microwaved soggy stuff you'd expect. The drinks are tasty, and the menu is seasonal, so there is always something new. On this visit (my 4th) I tried the chicken tacos and they were HUGE. I split them with 2 other people and we were all satisfied having one taco as an app, that's how loaded they are with ingredients. Everything is fresh and usually comes out quickly, but service itself can be on the slow side. If you're in the adult area, it's hard to get a server's attention. I usually have to walk to the restaurant to order and go back to my chair, which sort of defeats the purpose of having poolside service. But other than that, this is a great place to eat and enjoy the beautiful resort.

Croc's is the bar/restaurant by the pool at the Omni Hotel & Resort. Over the years, I have had several meals and beverages here, either at tables by the bar or served by the pool. Croc's has a limited menu, but it generally does a good job with it. I recall ordering salads and tacos in the past and being pleased with them. On this visit one day I went healthy with a Passion Fruit Salad for lunch. For $15, I thought the salad was a little weak. It was pretty much a bowl of kale with a few extras add like small pieces of pickled cauliflowers and edamame. I took dinner the next night in an entirely different direction and just went with the Croc Burger and Fries. Two burgers were not huge but perfectly seasoned. The fries were thin, crispy, and deliciously salty. Yes this splurge was totally worth it! Food is generally expensive, but on par with what you would expect at a resort. Croc's is actually one of the cheaper places to eat on the property. Service can vary depending on how busy the pool is. When we are there during lacrosse tournaments the pool is extremely busy so the food can take a while. It's hard to complain however, when you are sitting outside, enjoying the pool and the weather!

Crocs is a perfect spot to get a drink and something to eat. Crocs is situated in the pool area of the Omni Resort. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas await your arrival. There are servers that even come up to your chair! I've had excellent luck with their food and their service. For lunch, when there is a conference at the hotel, Crocs getting pretty crowded, as there are lots of people trying to eat at the same time, between meetings. But, if you can avoid the rush, you will enjoy your meal.

We've been so many times but this last time was just ridiculous. An hour wait each time we ordered. Yes, we were on vacation so I didn't care too much but after the first time it was a bit excessive. I ordered a watermelon and cucumber salad with shrimp. It was supposed to come with feta, Jicima, lettuce, cabbage and shrimp. I opened it and it was diced watermelon pieces and cucumber- as if someone started making the salad and then stopped. Bizarre. The soda fountain was flat all weekend. Meh. Hopefully, they can get it back together bc it kind of ruined the relaxing pool vibe.

Upon our arrival, since we had to wait for a room like so many others, we were presented with the "signature cocktail" of Croc's. I am not sure what it was; but, it was delicious, slightly like a pina colada; but, with hints of melon or banana... it was very good. In our cabana, we ordered Wings, Nachos and Lettuce Wraps from Croc's and each item was larger than expected, delicious; and, delivered piping hot. We thoroughly enjoyed each item, including the fruit bowl that came with the cabana. My wife also ordered a Mojito; and, I had to try the Jalapeno Avocado Margarita. The latter looked bad; but, tasted great; and, it even came with a lime popsicle in the drink. If you are the least bit adventurous with your adult beverages, I would HIGHLY recommend this treat!

For a simple meal for two people, the service was unreasonably slow throughout the evening. Our server, Svet, was polite and personable, but friendliness alone could not make up for the delays. The hummus appetizer was excellent and was easily the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and served with pita, cucumbers, carrots, and red peppers. The food presentation overall was attractive and showed promise. The most serious issue occurred when my son ordered a refill of his virgin mojito and was served a drink containing alcohol. He immediately noticed something was wrong after taking a sip and handed it to me. I tasted it as well and confirmed that it contained alcohol. Serving alcohol in a child's drink is a significant mistake and should never happen. We also ordered the steak frites based on a recommendation and were told it was exceptional. Unfortunately, the steak was extremely tough and chewy, making it difficult to eat and far from what was described. Management apologized and removed the steak from the bill, but the combination of excessive wait times, the alcohol mix-up involving a minor, and the disappointing entrée left a poor overall impression.

I started with the calamari, which had almost no flavor. It tasted like the batter wasn't seasoned at all. The aioli sauce that came with it was actually very good and helped, but it couldn't completely save the dish. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye with smashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was just okay, I've honestly had better ribeyes at chain restaurants. One side was noticeably burnt while the other side was cooked well. The internal temperature was spot on, so credit where it's due. The smashed potatoes were fine but nothing memorable. As for the asparagus, they never arrived, so I can't comment on them. Overall, this felt like overpriced hotel food. It's convenient if you're staying at the hotel and don't want to leave, or if you're looking to watch a game at the bar or lounge area. Otherwise, I'd recommend exploring other nearby restaurants. There are plenty of better dining options just a short distance from the hotel.

Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.
