When she walked in she told the owner how pleased she was with them. He was glad to hear it, but mentioned that he did not stock that brand anymore. But.... He asked her the size that she needed and looked in a spot near the rear of the store and he had one pair left. And it was in her size. He very kindly sold them at 50% off. I'm not sure I've seen a location this clean and organized. I'm used to them being a bit chaotic, merchandise left in places it doesn't belong, changing rooms that should be gutted... The changing rooms were free of crap, the people working were pretty nice, and there wasn't much in the way of stuff on the floor. Also, I'm not sure if it's because the store is new or this location is just getting better merchandise, but I actually found stuff I wanted to buy... And not just a shirt. More like $100+ of things I needed to fill my fairly sparse wardrobe.

I ask my friend which is the closer sport store I can get an emergency pair of shoes. They indicate to me there is no close by sport store. I should try the Largo mall which is 10 minutes away. I found Famous Footwear in Largo Mall. They have the high top gym shoes that I need to protect me from high ankle roll. I bought an usable cotton cloth shoe and try out in the gym. But after few games of badminton, I feel paint at the toe. I took the shoes I bought that day and return on the following week when I return to the gym. They clerk of the store allow me to exchange. They are very friendly and helpful. I got the next exchange pair that fit me. Now I put this pair in the car for emergency.

With newfound enthusiasm I wandered into the sandal section only to find Teva flip-flops on sale...WHAT A HELLUVA SHOPPING DAY! New running shoes and must have beach footwear ~ it just don't get any better than that!
