I was very WRONG!!! Mohammed made it seem that he was going to take care of me and really cared about my situation (divorce). From the get go I should have seen the red flags (many of them) his last attempt for me to refill my retainer is when I finally noticed to be done!!! His soul goal was to make sure his bank account was satisfied and nothing else mattered. Please do your research on divorce lawyers (especially if it's your first ever divorce) I was definitely taken advantage of and was charged over $6k for absolutely NOTHING!!! Countless time on meetings and phone calls that lead nowhere and he claimed he wasn't getting response from other lawyer involved and made many excuses why it was taking so long. Never once mentioned mediation in the beginning. MEDIATION should percent be done first thing before any lawyer involved I ended up firing Mohammed and went to mediation and offered exactly what we were planning to offer and was done in 4 hours and only had to spend $550. Now I am in a huge $6k hole (nothing received for this money) and I should of done more research instead of doing what most people think is right(hire a lawyer who should have experience and knowledge) PLEASE do not waste your money or time with this firm. His office staff never knew what was going on with my case and neither did he. I had to constantly remind him what my name was and what our case was about. I received lots of calls from his staff telling me he wouldn't move forward with my case until they got a payment. The payments had already been made and were lost. When it came time for our first court hearing, Michael sent another attorney that was sub-contracted in his place. I didn't know this man or know anything about him. And he sure didn't know a thing about my case. The one thing this other attorney did know was MY EX!! As he and I entered the court room the two of them saw one another and bantered back and forth for 15 minutes. My ex used to work for this attorney years prior. And come to find out, this attorney was a credit repair attorney not a family law attorney. I was livid. I asked the attorney to continue the hearing so that I could speak with Michael and work this all out. The attorney denied my request and went ahead with the hearing, making crucial mistakes. I go on to add my own experience with Gibb as follows: Gibb was always late for our scheduled meetings as he was never in his office (and drove from home the days he was to meet me). He showed up in flip-flop thongs with no socks, shorts and T-shirts. GIBB was very slow in putting his thoughts together throughout my case, and had trouble constructing and writing letters to other attorneys. He needed from another attorney (of which I didn't agree to pay for that time Gibb spent with him). Gibb kept needing his help and input and Gibb was charging me to consult with that attorney!). I told him I wouldn't agree to pay for that portion but he charges me anyhow. Gibb's office was a huge mess (which concerned me) and the case took a lot longer than it should of and Gibb led me to believe it would an easy case and a lot cheaper to hire him . GIBB overcharged me, admitted to it in a phone call and PROMISED to refund me a very small amount money. This was months ago. Although I believe he owes me more money, I agreed to his offer. Gibb promised to pay .. but never sent me the check. For approx 8 years, there was a gofundme online asking people to donate to help the GIBB BABIES of which I believe was very Tacky, especially to benefit an Attorney's family (his!). Gibb first told me he knew nothing about it, but then back tracked and said his neighbor put it up. The fund raised $1,600.00, I have all the screen shots. Did his donors get a special rate from Gibb to do their legal work? Gibb lectured me how the medical bills for his "babies" were $9,000,000.00 (9 Million Dollars) in an uppity tone (as I had a triple neck fusion, at the same time and never once did he comment on my condition or the financial bind I was in). And, I did NOT have a gofundme account for my situation, but there was one for his! Had I known that at the time, I would of never hired/trusted him! I was wrong to believe in him and should of gone elsewhere. Gibb offered me in a phone call, to refund a very small portion that he overbilled me but he never sent the check. Don't make the same mistake I did.... I should of reported Gibb when I had the chance. If I were you, I'd go elsewhere!

And I could get attorney fees back too. He left in 2024 to his new law firm he's working at now. I got a new attorney instead of the case going with him. They defended the other party and threw the case. It cost me several thousand around $12 to 15 thousand the attorney office told me to put it into insurance and have the hoa take care of it now. The hoa is saying there putting the owner now on the board and hasn't even fixed their leak. And since it went that way they put it on my insurance for over $17,000 instead of the other parties insurance like it should be. I know Farr Cragun and Berube are not good attorneys I think I would have had better luck with Brody.
