Driving back through town we wanted to make a stop at Crooked Pint Ale House as we remembered the delicious burger we had last year. We stopped in for happy hour and we were immediately sat by the hostess. She was super sweet and friendly. I didn't catch our servers name but she was very attentive and friendly as well. It was taco Tuesday but we were craving that burger. Crooked Pint did not disappoint! Another yummy, juicy burger! We both ordered the Juicy Lucy and added lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. It definitely is juicy. So good. Unfortunately the onion rings were not up to par. Couldn't taste the onions at all. They just tasted like breading. But, the burger is terrific so try another side other than the onion rings. They had someone announcing a trivia game that patrons could choose to participate. We stopped in after golfing at nearby Legacy. It was a beautiful afternoon so we enjoyed our drinks and snacks on the patio. I had a Summit Oatmeal Stout. There were many beers on tap to choose from. We also had to have the Ellsworth cheese curds. How can you not!? Nice light batter and squeaky cheese. Perfect savory snack. Nice large parking lot. Staff was exceptional. I love outdoor dining and this place had such a cute area. Josh and I had drinks and our waitress was friendly, i was also able to taste some beers before ordering. Their tap options were full of varieties! Our daughter had the salmon quinoa salad (don't quote me on the name) . But I tasted it and it was delicious! Big windows are attractive and give the restaurant a nice hip airy feeling Wait staff is friendly attentive extra kudos for coming back after a few minutes to check to see if the first bites are good and if anything additional is needed - such a professional touch and always a sign of well trained staff! I had the cowboy burger - delicious and flavorful w thick bacon slice and an onion ring yum! Extra steps for me today! I ordered a house salad wow perfect size and fresh ingredients. My son had the salmon salad he said it was delicious and again check mark for the fresh ingredients however the amount of salmon ( 2 ounces?) did not match the price and my grandson had the chicken tacos w a big thumbs up! It was our first time in Minnesota and we were looking for place to try the infamous juicy Lucy burgers. We decided to try a few things that sounded delicious and they did not disappoint! The service was everything you'd hope for- friendly, helpful, and didn't miss a beat refilling drinks. The Bourbon Molasses wings were so good with the slightest hint of spice that my husband ate 4/5 and would have licked the sauce off the plate if he thought no one was looking! The chicken was juicy and tender! The Dill Pickle Cheese Curds were amazing!! Not overpowering and fried perfectly! Pickle lovers will fall in love! The Cheesesteak Lucy was made with the most tender prime rib that absolutely melted in your mouth with every bite! We would eat this every week if we were locals! The St. Paddy's Day special Lucy was made with corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut- OMG was it delicious! The thousand island dressing was the kicker!!! Wow! I have to edit my review, it seems this place has decided to add a service fee. This is a lazy way to manage your costs. This is a foolish thing to do and I'll continue to avoid these places who hide the cost of a meal by tacking on at the end. The Faribault franchise has new owners and I saw some nice improvements. The staff is friendly and attentive. The price is good with nice specials! Most of the food is good however, I tried the fish fry and I know I was not the only one who thought it was over cooked and chewy. Went to Crooked Pint on Saturday; we were lucky to get a 5:00 reservation, as it was a busy night all around town. We are somewhat regulars, so knew what to expect. We had friends with us from out of town, as well....to celebrate our son's birthday. Unfortunately, the service was really slow. It took about 45 minutes for our order to come out... with no acknowledgment, apology, or offers to refill our drinks. My son ordered his usual wings for an appetizer, and they actually came AFTER his entree. Being autistic, this really sent him into super high anxiety....which I'm certain was felt by everyone around us. Pretty disappointing for his birthday dinner. I am speechless and beyond grateful to the staff at Crooked Pint. I have an autoimmune disease and VERY rarely go out to eat because of it. We left another local restaurant discouraged because they refused to accommodate a very simple request and we landed at Crooked Pint. There was very little in the menu that could be tweaked to fit my needs and I literally cried out of pure embarrassment and frustration and I was just plain hungry. This was my first visit and I was impressed. The interior is attractive and roomy. I'd describe it as a mix of slightly up-scale sports bar and conventional restaurant. The menu has a decent variety of pub food. The wide range of beer, wine, and brown liquor options were daunting, so I just went with something off their cocktail list. I ordered a pepper jack Juicy Lucy with their jumbo tater tots on the side and a Moscow Mule. Unfortunately my Lucy wasn't very juicy. The interior pocket seemed to be almost empty and I only tasted a hint of pepper jack. It wasn't dry and it still had good flavor but it wasn't quite what I expected. It was probably just a mistake because the person I was dining with had a different Lucy and his was fine. The jumbo tater tots were a very pleasant surprise. They had the perfect amount of crispiness and the interior was almost creamy with subtle hints of sour cream and chives. I think there were only six of them but that seemed like the right amount because of their large size. My Moscow Mule was well made. The service was very good. The prices were fair. Recommended by our Airbnb host and I can see why! Alana was our server and she was super friendly! My husband and I both had the Beer Cheese Juicy Lucy which was delicious and HUGE!! This is "Stuffed with our creamy beer cheese sauce, featuring Grain Belt Premium, and served on a pretzel bun. Topped with bacon, bistro sauce, haystack onions, and a slice of habanero jack." He subbed the cheese curds instead of fries both fries and curds were great! Lots of beers on tap to choose from. Can't ding the restaurant for the obnoxious table beside us going on and on about the drinks and bartenders as if they were old pals, especially interesting as the wait staff indicated the bartenders experienced shift change during our visit. I had an amazing first visit here. The restaurant is spacious with large screen TVs mounted in ideal viewing spots. The best part of the open feel and modern wood interior is that it doesn't have the look and feel of a typical sports bar. This restaurant is so much more than that with really solid food choices and a fantastic beer list that focuses on local offerings. A daily late happy hour and extended hours open till midnight are welcomed surprises outside of the metro. A quick tip is that Wednesday's are burger specials with $2 off your burger. They have an extensive list of "juicy Lucy" burgers and my wild rice burger was like a taste of heaven. I have to give a round of applause to my server, Kim! This was our first time to the restaurant and it will unfortunately be our last. Simply put- the food was not good. The French Dip sandwich that was listed on the menu as thinly sliced prime rib came out as a thick slab of meat on a dry hoggie bun that dwarfed the meat. The chicken wings cost $14.99 for 6 very small wings that were marginal at best. Our server was attentive and very nice which was the only highlight of the evening. I recommend the bourbon molasses wings, totchos, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and really any Lucy burger. On the weekend they have a brunch that is just as great. Crooked Pint Ale House is a welcome addition to Faribault dinning scene. The Lucy burgers are not unique but tasty. Apparently there are a total of 11 Crooked Pint restaurants in Minnesota. The corporate experience shows in the well trained staff that quickly attends to your table and food order. I only wish the menu was a bit more original and exclusive to the brand. My burger was good and the beer selection was good plus served cold as expected. I was impressed with the daiquiri my daughter ordered as it appeared to be made with fresh strawberries. I'm glad this restaurant decided to come to Faribault. They are a good fit for the community. read more

Great addition to the Faribault food scene. We were in town visiting friends and relatives just before Christmas and were recommended by my girlfriend's sister. We were so impressed on our first visit we came back the next day to try more. I had the 'standard' Jucy Lucy on our first visit (the daily special), and the BBQ bourbon chicken flatbread on day #2; both were very good. My girlfriend was equally impressed by her choices (open faced turkey, and poutine, both with decadent gravies).
