The vibe reminds me of Cracker Barrel with the decor. The employees were very polite and welcoming. My husband and I came in right before the lunch rush, got seated quickly after ordering. We both ordered the Ruby Cristo with the raspberry pepper jelly. The flavor was amazing before, but adding the pepper jelly gave it a sweet/spicy twist. The best part of coming to Arkansas is getting the sweet treats from this spot! Now I know this says it is a sandwich spot but they do have incredible cookies as well. Each year we make sure to make the trip to get a box of cookies to enjoy throughout our time there and this year we also got to enjoy these brownie cheesecake bars as well (the probably have a better name but that is how I remember them). We also got the strawberry cookies which are super sweet but melt in your mouth and the lemon cookies which had the perfect tart flavor to them. This place is always poppin' and rightfully so. Especially if you know what to order! My little girl LOVES the snack plate on the kids menu (I can't remember exactly what it's called) but lemme tell ya about the ruby cristo (montes cousin) just do yourself a favor and get it. We enjoyed our lunch stop here on the way from Branson to home in South Texas. Glad for yelp that allows us to find good places like this. My husband and I shared the chicken salad sandwich, which we both liked. They had a good flavor and grapes in it. We each got a full portion of the side chips - which are ruffles... And a small container of bacon ranch dip for the chips. We shared a small soup of the day: potato. My husband enjoyed his fresh brewed iced tea. The staff was friendly and efficient. Found this place out of luck! Was passing through Conway and wanted a sandwich. Boy did I find a gold mine! This unassuming place is located within an antique store and they churn out some of the best chicken salad I've had! I got the Cross Creek Chicken Salad Sandwich and my husband got the Triple Decker Club. The bread wasn't toasted on mine but it was still fantastic. The chicken was perfect. I tried a bite of his sandwich and it was fantastic. The chips came with a really fabulous bacon ranch dip... don't ask questions, just eat it! Game changer. The food came out quickly, not much interaction with the employees as it's an order-at-counter place but everyone and everything about the experience was A+. read more
