Very happy customer one who always appreciates everything in life

The food service and ambience are what you expect at a deli happy customers great food, wonderful atmosphere. You see people you know from work or on the street wherever you are at you'll see people at McAllister's deli. I've tried a lot of different things there. There's food is good. It's very good. Don't go expecting a four-star restaurant. it's a community deli. They make great sandwiches. They make wonderful taco salads. They make a whole lot of different things that are good for you and tasty. They make the desserts that are wonderful so go and have a great time. I always when I leave I'm happy I went there. Met some people from the community and maybe even sat with them once they came in. It's a great place go and have a wonderful time. They can use their your business because there's so many places to eat in Conway Arkansas. Somebody's gonna get left out they're over behind Walmart.

    What we wanted.

This has always been a favorite stop for me. Yesterday my family went in. My kids ordered the pretzel bites and they came out definitely looking wrong. They were flat and gooey. More like what a tamale looks like instead of a pretzel. Informed them and they proceeded to get the kids plates that we had touched and opened and re cooked them to bring back out on the same plates. One was half eaten by my 3 yr old. I've worked in the food industry and I'm unsure that that's how you go about things that have been handled and partially eaten by people. Then on top of that we had messed up ordered and missing items. That was corrected after bringing it to attention. We had one helpful staff member and another who just looked at us and shrugged. That was after they apparently do not know that they offer roasted peppers. They only have the tri colored ones. ‍

I'm a Texan in town for a friends wedding. Have had some horrible experiences with the McAllister's in my area of Texas but we gave this one a shot. Our sandwiches were actually warm and tasted good, they still have silverware instead of giving us plastic ware, we got pickles with our orders and they didn't look like they had been run over, the tea wasn't days old, and the best part of it all was the Mac and cheese was actually fresh and not microwaved into rubber!!! We deeply appreciate this McAllister's restoring some lost faith. It was nice to see workers actually working instead of standing around chatting while you're served subpar food. Tables were cleaned promptly and refills were quick. Very well done. Please communicate with all stores in the DFW and teach them how to operate a McAllisters properly again, they need serious help.

They can't even cut a club sandwich....

I got a half sandwich chips and water and paid $15. Way too expensive for this. I will stick with firehouse or Jersey Mikes

Big bonus is they have a great bourbon selection! Appetizers we have tried: Boxty - potato pancakes! Ya I know crazy right? But they are good. Dublin layer shrimp- man I am going to have to figure out the story on that name. If you are looking for a tasty low carb option this just might be your ticket item! Traditional wings- a must have. This is my new go to lunch item there. Guinness BbQ sauce and perfectly cooked wings! Entrees: Ruben sandwich- always a hit, the crispy rye bread and sauerkraut hit the spot! Hot O'malley burger - gives you a little kick with the fried jalapeño and banana peppers. Fish taco is a great lighter choice. Fish and chips is always good. They have a good salad selection but no one comes here for the salad reviews! I will be here again you can count on it.

Don't get me wrong the food was actually good, but way overpriced for what you get. For instance the Fish and Chips were $16 and you only got 3 medium size pieces of fish, and a handful of potatoes. The service was decent even though they were pretty packed for graduation. I think they probably pride themselves on being a whisky bar since they have a menu completely dedicated to them. I was a little disappointed they weren't playing Irish music at all. I could see drinking here, but food quantity needs to come up for the price, and the music needs to get the scene, since all the decor is Irish.

Food: I order the catfish basket. It came with 3 pieces and tots (or fries if you like). I decided to add the white cheddar 3 cheese mac to my order. Fish was hot and delicious. The tots were good but could have be warmer temperature wise. The mac was good but could have been warmer as well and consistency was a bit runny. Summary: Overall, everything was good. I look forward to trying other things on the menu in the future.

The hostesses at the door were sweet and cheerful when they welcomed us and it was great. We quickly were seated over in the bar area. Within moments our waitress welcomed us. I believe her name was Jax? I'm sorry it wasn't on the receipt. Anyway she was great. So friendly and helpful. We got the buffalo chicken street tacos and the catfish street tacos and they were both amazing. The catfish was cooked perfectly and was so delicious. The restaurant has a great vibe to it. Very casual, kind of a sports bar but not hardcore sports bar. Feels more like a brew pub that has sports on tv than anything else. We would come back here again. The service and the food were both great and the cocktails were good too. The old fashioned was really good.

The restaurant is decorated tastefully in a quaint New Orleans style, and the atmosphere is dress casual and calm, perfect for nice, quiet get together. The restaurant is not designed for a high volume of people, so reservations are best because they stay busy. As I mentioned, Mike's Place is New Orleans themed, and the menu reflects this style, but there are many delicious options. My wife and I made 6:00 pm reservations for our 41st wedding anniversary. We arrived around 5:45 pm but we were seated before 6:00. Our server, Dallas, was very friendly and attentive and took care of all our dining needs. We first ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. This arrived quickly and was hot and well prepared. The Coconut Shrimp comes with a delicious dipping sauce. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon with fried okra and baked potato, all of which was served hot and well prepared. My wife has dairy allergies and she requested a butter substitute for the baked potato, and Dallas was able to provide margarine instead of butter. I ordered the Commodore's Platter, which comes with Lobster Tail, Dungeness Crab Claws, White Fish and Shrimp with salad and one side. You can get the seafood prepared grilled, blackened or fried. Even though a "platter" sounds like a lot of food, it was filling but not too much. This was another excellent experience at Mike's Place, and we'll definitely be back!
