Cute little spot for lunch! Staff were all very friendly. Clean restaurant. Hubby and the turkey sandwich and fries. He enjoyed his sandwich but the fries were a bit overcooked. I had the BLT and it was really good. Generous portions of bacon and cooked perfectly for a sandwich. I got the onion rings and they were delicious! I cannot for the life of me understand why this place has such good reviews. I went there with two colleagues for dinner, it was old and tired on the inside. I sweated all through dinner because it was so hot inside. I was hoping the food would be the reason for the good reviews, but that was definitely not the case, my stake was tough and overcooked. The fried okra was one step away from being burnt and my salad was not very fresh. Unfortunately that was not the end of the misery, I had either left my new iPhone on the table or it fell on the floor. When I went to out to my car, I realized I didn't have it and went back inside to retrieve it. It was nowhere to be found. I asked the staff including the manager and was told no phone was turned in since I arrived. We combed the parking lot and could not find it. The restaurant closed and after searching everywhere I went back in to talk to the manager two or three more times. I was told they did not have my phone but I knew I had it because I am from out of town and I had to use the phone for directions to get there. Finally I borrowed my colleague's phone and got ahold of my wife. She was able to use the "find my phone app" and the phone was pinging from in the restaurant and even showed it in the back corner of the kitchen area! We went back in and confronted the manager. He asked me what was on the screen of my phone and I told him it was a picture of our Yorkie. He went to the kitchen and came back my with my phone and handed it to me. We had searched for the better part of an hour and spoken to him no less than three times. I was livid. I am not accusing any one of stealing but it was very suspicious and I would also point out that they have a mural on the wall will the Ten Commandments on it. read more

I have posted reviews for Ropers in the past but today I would like to tell you how everything on the menu is delicious, and the service is warm, friendly, as well as accommodating, I said this in past review I have been eating here since it opened well you can tweak your order example I got the fried chicken sandwich and asked them to add bacon , and I have asked them to tweak other menu items like add mushrooms , or no mayo add ranch I never get push back from the staff so the only no I get is if they might not have a particular item. Came here with a friend for a relatively quick lunch and left pleased. The seating was quick and easy with the service being quick and helpful. The food here while not being out of this world was quite pleasing. The sandwich I ordered was toasted and buttered to perfection - the downside here would be that I had assumed a turkey sandwich would be moderately healthy... oh well, it was still good. The food at Ropers is outstanding, one of the best hamburgers in town. Their steaks are marinated which makes it very tasty and tender. The steak is grilled over charcoal and the chef knows what he's doing, your steak will be grilled to the right temperature. read more

Great spot a few miles off the highway worth the stop. Very friendly waitress, good service, clean and overall good food. My son had the large chicken nuggets and fries. He commented they were big and would recommend them as good. My sister had the burger cooked perfectly to her requested medium. The menu says unless otherwise requested all burgers are cooked well done. The fries were real thick fries. I had the pizza which was thin crust and chock full of meat. The salad was good with a huge hunk of tomato, plenty of croutons and a honey mustard dressing on the side. We tried this place because some of our friends have raved about their steaks. My wife and I both ordered steaks. She got the rib eye and I got the other one--I think it's a strip steak. My opinion is that they are not that better than other places e.g. Texas Road House, Logan's, even Cheddar's. And their prices are a bit higher too. Will come back here but will get the burgers instead. Oh, an incident happened when paying our bill. We both had water but the bill had an additional charge. When we asked what it was about, they said it was for the drinks. I asked, "So, you guys charge for water?" and the cashier got really embarrassed because it was the fault of one of the waitresses who put two drinks on our bill instead of the other table. read more

I just recently moved to Sherwood specifically the gravel Ridge area. Ropers is a nice restaurant that's been here I understand for a number of years they have steak salads hamburgers as well as vegetables and sandwiches. I have eaten here many many times . I've never had bad food here ever and I have eaten I believe everything off the menu. I usually don't like somebody else preparing my salads but here they do a great job. Usually the service is good but sometimes especially with young people in their early 20s or teenagers they're not really up to par. But if you happen to go in during the day at noon for lunch or before dinner time you will get one of the nice ladies there And the service is really good. As well as the food. read more

I never knew this place was here, I had attempted to go twice and I almost missed the opportunity on Friday, after being on hold for 20 minutes I decided let me place an order here and let me tell you I was truly amazed from placing the order to receiving my food it was outstanding. I would recommend this place to everyone I order a steak and it was cooked to perfection, and for the amount I paid I actually spent less and got more for the money. At first I was a bit hesitant to stop with it being in a strip mall but I am glad we did. It has a nice down south feel, with a decent variety of menu options. My husband loved the burger, and the chicken was crispy and tasted great. Service was a tad slow but they were very friendly. read more

First time today at "lunch". 2pm. Writing this review as I sit here waiting on one of the four employees behind the counter to bring me a menu or drink. One waitress was dealing with another table when I came in and was told to find a seat. After a bit, a young lady came from behind the counter and offered a drink... which she made and set aside, never actually delivering it to me. She got side tracked visiting with the other employees again. The waitress who Was helping customers came over and apologized for the lack of service and assured me the food would be much quicker and better than the experience so far. My family and I absolutely love the food here at Ropers. We discovered the restaurant about two years after we moved here and wish we had known about it sooner. The food always tastes amazing and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. They have some of the best burgers we have had since moving away from our hometown so we were happy to find a place who had comparable burgers to a place we can't go to anymore.
