GREAT VIBE! FANTASTIC FOOD! I have passed this restaurant many times and every time they were BUSY! I figured something must great about this place so this time I didn't pass it by. Let's start off by saying "Come as you are." No need for fancy clothes or reservations. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are super friendly. The food is well priced, well proportioned, and well seasoned! Whether you are passing through or live in the area, stop in, say howdy, and make your stomach happy with a "home-cooked" meal!

Cute little spot for lunch! Staff were all very friendly. Clean restaurant. Hubby and the turkey sandwich and fries. He enjoyed his sandwich but the fries were a bit overcooked. I had the BLT and it was really good. Generous portions of bacon and cooked perfectly for a sandwich. I got the onion rings and they were delicious! Our kids are moving to Little Rock and we'll be sure to tell them about Ropers!

My turkey sandwich which was quite scrumptious

Service was very timely and thoughtful. The veggie plate and country fried steak were great. Topped off with key lime pie.

Good local casual place to eat for lunch or dinner. Nice menu and workers...very easy. It is not fancy but the food is good Southern fare.

When you look at my review, please keep in mind I am a foodie from the wine Country in California…read more We are very fussy about our food and restaurants: Pros: The Food!, service, price, friendliness of staff, portion size Con: Noisier than I like My daughter, son-in-law and grandson said this was one of two really good restaurants in the area. They were right. We were seated quickly, given menus and asked what we would like to drink (no alcohol is served there). The server told us about the specials. We spoke with the manager who knew my family because they were nearly missed when someone drove into the restaurant and he talked about the incident. We ordered our dinners which were served quickly. I enjoy a good caesar salad and am usually disappointed with them in most restaurants. The caesar salad here was creamy and flavorful with a flavor close to the classic. It was evenly tossed with good croutons. It is one of the better salads I've had in a casual restaurant like Bennetts. Pot roast should be tender and not chewy. It is difficult to cook to just the right moment before it becomes stringy and chewy. Bennett's got it right; the meat was fork tender and flavorful. It came off the larger pieces easily without clinging to them. The vegies were al dente and tasted fresh. My family's food that I tasted was equally well cooked. We had both the strawberry and red velvet cakes. The red velvet was especially nicely done and not too sweet. We're going back to Bennett's on my next trip to see my family.

A perfect balance of creamy and spicy and not overly salty! Burger is a beautiful presentation and was enjoyed by my granddaughter. Grandson had French toast and it was a nice generous portion. Husband had steak omelet and it was equally well prepared. The wait was about 20 minutes and well worth it. Very clean and although crowded, ample table space.

The person at the window was very kind, we ordered the original smash and stack and asked for it to be split in half! The person at window gave us some extra fries which was amazing! They are in the middle of transitioning from their food truck roots to a permanent brick-and-mortar location. While the space is still actively under construction, the hustle here is real. The fact that this small crew of friends is slinging fresh food takeout-style while simultaneously building out their future restaurant is impressive. I grabbed their lunch special, and coming in at just $11.06 after tax, it might just be the best value lunch in town. Finding a fresh burger, hand-cut fries, and a drink for $11 in today's economy is practically unheard of. From ordering to walkout took only about 20 minutes, which is remarkably quick given the setup and the dedication going into every order. Now for the food: The Original Burger (with Swiss substituted for cheddar): Absolute home run. The patty is infused with actual chunks of bacon, every bite was hot, juicy, and packed with flavor. Freshly cooked on the flat-top, it hit the mark on just about every level. The Fries: Near perfection. Seasoned generously with seasoned salt, you get a great mix of super crispy edges with just enough softer bites to keep the texture interesting. Even with drywall dust in the air and a temporary takeout-only setup, they did almost everything right. Smashed & Stacked easily earns a strong 4 stars today, and once this brick-and-mortar is fully finished and fired up, the rest of the hamburger scene in Little Rock better watch out. Skip the corporate chains and come support these guys!

It looked good so I settled for that. I asked if I could get it without tomato and if I could swap the sauce for the one that came on the chicken sandwich. The server said no to the sauce swap while at the table. I ask for the original sauce to be on the side. Cool no problem. Then he comes back and says the cook said it's too many modifications! I should be able to undress my burger down to meat and cheese without the cook throwing a fit! What if I was allergic? Would there still be pushback about removing tomatoes. And sauce. The burger was served with sauce on the side and no tomatoes. I enjoyed the burger (North Bar Burger). My nephew enjoyed his Crazy Queso Burger. I didn't like the sauce as I thought it was too mustard forward. I ordered an old fashioned that was pretty good as well. Maswell was our server. Service was fine but I wished he'd pointed out the specials when we sat down. NB burger happened to be the special of the day. Parking was easy. There's a covered patio and full bar. Id visit again (we enjoyed our food and drinks) next time I'm in the area but the cooks hissy fit pissed me off. 3.5 stars because of it.
