    Chicken cashmere

We haven't been back to Cross Culture for sometime and since we were in the peddler's Village area we thought we were returned for a nice Indian meal. You agreed immediately upon arrival shown to our reserves table water and then use for a ride over we had a short exchange in terms of food options with a server that opened up with an order of the chicken Samosa which was an order of three pieces is as expected in terms of taste quality good texture not too greasy. For our main we shared the chicken Cashmere, which is the first time for us and was a very nice dish with the accent of the vegetable of the accent of added cut up vegetables of the raisins. We also had an order of the lamb Rogan, the lamb meat was nice and tender. For both dishes we had a spice level of five which was a nice little kick of flavor and we dunked afterwards with an order of garlic naan. See my pics.

I'm not sure what to make of the fact that there were no Indians in the kitchen of Cross Culture Indian Restaurant in Buckingham, PA. The menu was more limited than many I've seen, and the dishes themselves while decent, lacked some of the dynamism I associate with quality curry and other colorfully spiced South Asian cuisine. We ordered their Veggie Samosa and Tomato Soup appetizers, Chicken Cashmere, Veggie Navaratan Korma as entrees and Garlic Naan for sopping up the anticipated creamy reductions. They were a mixed bag. The Tomato Soup was disappointingly bland, and we decided to bring it all home to doctor it to a better place. The Samosas had a good crunchy shell, but the potato/pea contents was dry with little tongue tickle. The Cashmere was the best of the bunch - pleasantly creamy sauce sweetened by the cashew and raisins and tender dark chicken. The Korma was also quite good, but the sauce was too similar to the Cashmere and needed a bit more curry heat to make it distinguishable from its sibling. Where was the tumeric and chili? Finally, the Naan was hot and oily as it should be, and quickly gone as we enjoyed spooning up the sauces as our dessert. Service was warm and efficient by one of the owners. She seemed to appreciate our presence in the days before restaurants were closed to protect from the COVID-19 crisis. We all suspected that moment to arrive soon, so in some ways we expected and acknowledged that this might well be our last meal out for the foreseeable future. Just wish the entire meal was as memorable as the societal moment we all were enduring. Be safe everyone.

The worst chicken biryani. Rice and chicken both stale for $16

Horrible. The only thing edible in my pick up order was Naan. The samosas were stale and re-fried. The chicken tikka was not that great either, they put red peppers more than the chicken pieces. The complimentary rice with the entree was stale. The chicken biryani was worst of all. Check the photo to see the plenty of colors they have used to put some taste to the otherwise stale biryani with some meatless chicken pieces. NEVER again

Menu for everyone since it's not accessible online!

We started with the aloo tikki which came out so fresh. They were delicious! They were fabulously crisp on the outside. The insides reminded me of samosas (yummy) and were spicy. They were even more delicious with the sauces. Highly recommend these. They didn't have the flour for the paratha, so we just had traditional naan. We had plain and garlic. Wow!! When they were placed on the table, they looked delicious, especially the garlic naan which glistened with butter and garlic. They were clearly just out of the oven, and they were amazing. Probably the best freshest most tasty naan I've had. We also had the daal makhani and the malia kofta. These are two of our favorite Indian dishes, and they did not disappoint. I especially enjoyed the malai kofta--the sauce was very nice and the vegetable balls were not mushy, kept their form, and were just fresh and tasty. The noticeable pieces of nuts added a nice texture. While the service was just slightly slow for me, it wasn't painfully slow. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. We'd definitely return. The only thing that would make it better for us would be if they served aloo matar.

If you read nothing else - ORDER THE GARLIC CHICKEN…read more Ok, now for everything else....we decided to try out this place, which felt incredibly taboo bc we LOVE our Indian Palace restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest person behind the counter. She led us to our table where we enjoyed reading through their expansive menu. We decided on some samosa's, lamb korma, chicken Tikka and the star of the show - GARLIC CHICKEN. I'm going to start with the Garlic Chicken because I have never had something like this before anywhere else and it is listed as an appetizer. If you love garlic as much as I do, please do yourself a favor and RUN here to get this. My husband, son and I FOUGHT over this plate because it was so delicious. We had to order a whole extra basket of naan to dip it in because it was SPECTACULAR. The rest of the plates were very tasty as too! The Korma was delicious and soft. And I haven't met a naan I didn't like. Really aside from the garlic chicken what made this experience great was the service. It was a young woman who noticed I was speaking Spanish to my son and also began speaking Spanish to us. She was incredibly thoughtful and kept checking in on us as well. Overall, we look forward to returning. On the weekend they run a buffet which I am super into to try more of their dishes.

The inside was clean and appealing, service was friendly and prompt. I ordered simple items for sake of time and familiarity. The veggie samosas I ordered were ok and tasted like the frozen type. They were not greasy and had minimal spice/flavor. I would pass on them next time. For my main lunch I had the .... 3. Chicken Tikka Masala lunch special - lentils, rice, plain naan and salad. It was a good lunch deal for around $12. The lentils were fresh, rice was aromatic and fresh, salad was simple and the chicken tikka was good. The chicken was fresh, masala lacked the spice I was hoping for, but was a decent portion size. I could have used more naan than the one piece that came with the meal. I boxed about half of it all for take home. During checkout, the staff was so nice and thankful for the visit. They gave me a parting gift of Kheer for dessert. Unfortunately it had an off flavor so I dumped it, but it was the thought that counted. I'd certainly return if in the area to try some of their other entrees. The menu is sizable with around a dozen non veg apps, two dozen veg apps, 8-12 variants of lamb, chicken and goat dishes, over 2 dozen vegetarian meals and almost a dozen different biryanis. Thanks guys!

It's the real deal with full flavor and authentic Desai taste to fulfill that craving of goat verified or chicken sukka. Maybe a delicious biryani or tawa fish fry. We had the gongura chicken and chicken tikka masala. If you're American and used to order chicken tikka masala please note the medium spice level may be a touch spicy and it comes with bell peppers and onions. I thought it tasted fantastic. Gongura chicken had the tamarind tang with a gongura curry gravy that felt like I'm eating in south India. Naan and roti were piping hot and thin. Great to soak up all that curry. Also tried the chili gobi that had plenty of chili sauce to put on some naan. Can't wait to go back and try some other fun dishes. Lunch time thali looked good as well.
