It was overall great and Dipen was very responsive and professional, he has provided us options to ensure all headcount is covered for food.

The owner seems to have no ethics and is unprofessional. We visited this restaurant personally and spoke to Dipen who is probably the owner twice to confirm a catering event at their location. Dipen confirmed and we finalized rate/menu etc. On final confirmation from Dipen we sent details to our guests. Dipen tried to avoid taking advance payment for 2 days and gave silly excuses. He then texted and indicated that someone had already booked the place earlier. This was ridiculous as we met him personally. I was not keen with this restaurant as I had bad food experience almost 12 years back. However we decided to give this place another chance and told him specifically that food quality must be good. It seems very clear that he probably got another catering event with more people and so decided to mess our event. Will never go there again nor will suggest to anyone. These type of unethical businesses should be boycotted. Dipen stated that he forgot which was definitely a lie. He told us that that the hall had rental charge and I don't believe he would pay rental if he had no event. read more

I am a huge fan of Indian food, so my Indian classmate and I decided to try out the weekend buffet at Aman's. We were the first people there at 11:30, but the hot bar and cold bar were both fresh and a beautiful assortment of colors. The staff were very friendly and attentive. If you want to get in without a. Wait, I recommend coming close to opening time as the restaurant filled up quickly within the hour. The hot bar had favorites like butter chicken (fresh naan bread is served at the table), paneer, korma, and samosas. The cold bar had an assortment of fresh fruit, chutney, and favorites like rasmalai. Hot tiny balls of gulab jamun were sat in their own tray ready for me to have one or two....okay maybe I had more than that. Still my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. The vegetable samosas were huge and flavorful. My favorite dish is Malai Kofta--get it if you've never tried it! The dish comes with potato and veggie balls in a creamy coconut sauce. We also got garlic naan (of course) and shrimp saag. I'm really surprised by how bad the food is because I've seen people in the dining room all the time. Maybe it was my dish selection but everything I ate was not edible. I was expecting a curry with tofu and vegetables. I got dry tofu with onion and some sprinkled coconut. It was labeled curry tofu and basil, didnt see any basil. It was dry. My family and I rarely eat North Indian food out, but when the craving for rich curries and fresh naans strikes we usually head up to New Jersey and enjoy the numerous options there. Recently, we found ourselves limited to Bucks County and struck by a strong hankering for Punjabi food. Based on positive, past experiences and its location, we chose Aman's. The Friday dinner crowd comprised mostly non Indian diners, and a decent amount of people filled the space. The dining room itself is clean and tidy with a slightly upscale feel. We got seated immediately and placed our order. Our food took a while to arrive, so this is not a place to dine when in a hurry, but the food at least did taste freshly prepared. I had a strong craving for chicken tikka masala/butter chicken, and unfortunately Aman's rendition fell a little flat. The chicken chunks tasted a little dry and the curry itself tasted uncharacteristically sweet. Our chicken vindaloo fared slightly better with a more piquant base gravy yet persistently dry, stringy pieces of meat. We had no issues with the lamb saag which had a creamy but not too rich texture, a decent hit of spice, and tender pieces of meat. We also ordered 3 naans (2 chili garlic and one plain). The chili garlic naans lacked significant chili or garlic flavor and thus didn't merit the $2 upcharge from the base naan price. That being said, the bread was freshly prepared and, while not quite as puffy as I like, had a decent char from the tandoor and a soft texture. My mother ordered the Indo Chinese item of vegetable Hakka noodles and had no complaints with her dish. We felt disappointed with the portions of the curries. Usually, 3 entrees at an Indian restaurant should be enough to feed 4, but my wife, father and I shared the above mentioned items and definitely could have eaten more. Service overall ran smoothly. All told, Aman's does some things right (fresh naan and the lamb saag, in our case) but the taste here definitely runs basic and caters predominantly to the non-Desi palette. As such, its solidly OK in my view and earns 3 stars. read more

I've only been here for the lunch buffet, but it's definitely one of my favorite buffets. If I wasn't allergic to mango I would be hitting up the all-you-can-drink mango lassi dispenser, but alas I am not able to. I can tell you that it's my husband's favorite thing they have here. I've never had a bad item from their offerings, and they have a wide variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes to choose from. They also have a big selection of both North and South Indian style meals, so you get the best of both worlds. The lunch buffet isn't too expensive either, and usually runs my husband and I somewhere around $25 for both of us. This is, far and away, my absolute favorite Indian restaurant. It is likely my favorite local restaurant, period. The food is SO. GOOD. Moreover it's consistently that good. The first time I ordered takeout from Aman's was also the first time in a long while I was not just pleased but DELIGHTED with every single thing I tried, and I am not less delighted every time I order. The curries are rich, warm, and pretty much my platonic ideal of curry. The "extra spicy" is, in fact, really really spicy. (One of very few restaurants that is the case for me.) The rice is fragrant and generously portioned. The saag is deliciously savory and I cannot stop eating it. I'm vegan and love the vegan options that allow me to order dishes that aren't available for me at other Indian places. And their vegan lamb is actually good! In fact it's better than fake meat from most all-vegan places. I haven't eaten at the actual restaurant in person--so far it's all been takeout. But I'm hoping to stop by and check out their buffet. A general note: it would be amazing if they had a version of the saag with tofu paneer, and a version of the tomato soup with plant-based milk/cream. But then I may be tempted to order from them all the time & I'm trying to keep my takeout consumption to a moderate amount. read more

I especially love their Samosa, garlic naan and Vegetable Manchurian...little vegetable balls in a not too spicy, tomato-based sauce. Their mango lassis are the best, as is their chai tea. I rarely give a 4 star review. There are 4 star reviews on my profile, but I mention that I would give a 3.5 if I could. Aman's is a legit 4 stars. Possibly even 4.5 Their selection isn't as vast as some other locations on the weekdays, but it is ALWAYS a fantastic meal. You pay a little more on Saturdays, but there are quite a few more options. Let me share a little insider knowledge with you. Only on Friday lunches, they offer this delicious fried fish, and only on Saturdays, they offer fried chicken wings. The food was delicious - very flavorful, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The waiter told us that Chicken Makhani was the same as butter chicken (which is what I'd wanted), but the dish I received was not the butter chicken I'm accustom to eating after living in the SF Bay Area for 34 years. This dish was much more of a tomato base than a cream base (deep red vs. creamy orange). And, while it wasn't what I was expecting, it was delicious. The server was very nice, but slow. We got there at 1pm for a late lunch. There was a party of 5 there that was just wrapping up. It took him 22 mins. to take our order and another 30 mins. to bring it to our table. The butter chicken, a side dish, a chicken kabob, some naan, and a soft drink cost $75 w/ tip. Pretty expensive for what we got. Last, their website said there was a lunch buffet 'til 2:30, but when we got there the waiter said they were no longer offering a lunch buffet. Classic, Tasty Indian food at a classy and tasteful place. I went at a pretty quiet hour, so there was a nice, quiet and dark setting so the atmosphere was very intimate and peaceful. This would be a great place for a date! The table setting started with 3 sauces - I believe it was mint cilantro, tamarind, and some sort of chutney. The lentil bread was served fresh, and I think the tamarind sauce was the best with it! This place opened my eyes to the tastiness of tamarind! My appetizer and main dish were both packed with flavor and spices, very delicious! I got the vegetable samosas , which was a great hearty vegetable flavor in a perfectly crispy and crunchy outside layer. I got the chicken curry as my main dish, and it was flavorful and filling. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly and the chicken curry itself was perfectly proportioned from sauce to chicken. I left with leftovers, and my bill was under $20. Hands down my favorite Indian food spot!! We love eating takeout here and they do not disappoint!! We get the chicken shahi korma, madras chicken curry, vegetable Manchurian (which is amazing!!! Highly recommend), tofu basil, and Alu Paratha (which is a bread). They also allow you to pick the spice of your entrees. Mild or Medium are usually what we go with and it's perfect for whatever spicy mode we are in! I have never had Indian food like this!!! You can dine in or takeout. My wife and I love this place. Service is great. It's a BYOB. Food is outstanding. They have gift certificates on Restaurant.com, which is what brought us here the first and second time. If you like Indian, this place is for you. What we've tried: Appetizers: Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower) is amazing. Perfect blend of sweet and spicy with the crispy texture of the cauliflower. Chicken Kabob was also very good and a good price. Can't not like a chicken-kabob. Bread: Garlic naan. No need to ask questions. This stuff is incredible and we're averaging two orders per visit. Chicken: Tikka Masala is always a go to because that sauce is the taste of heaven. So darn buttery you just can't stop eating it. The Chicken Patia is another good option. Slightly sweeter than I usually go for with an entree, but the mango curry is very tasty. Lamb: Roganjosh is our go-to. Love the flavor and the big chunks of lamb. And the Kadhai is in a similar dark sauce with tomatoes and peppers. My wife and I both said we'd get it again. Fish: The tandoori salmon (or fish tikka) was good, but not my favorite because it does get a little dry. I prefer tandoori chicken for sure, but with some lemon it's pretty good, just probably wouldn't get it again. Already bought our next certificate and can't wait to go back and try new things. Amans usually never disappoints but this time around I'm not sure how I felt about the food. I got garlic and butter naan which was great when it first came out but later on, it didnt have the same taste. I got chicken tikka masala, chilli chicken and a spinach curry ( I dont remember the name) to pair with the naan. Both the tikka & chilli chicken was okay nothing special about it. We asked for spicy and the spice was overpowering. The spinach wasnt good at all. It tasted so bland! Lastly, I also got gobi manchurian which was probably the best part about dinner. It had the right amount of spice and flavor. The curries came with a side of white rice & onions. OH & the mango lassi! You cant go wrong with that! read more

I once bragged about this restaurant, introduced many friends and family over the years. Unfortunately now in 12-2021 the same dish has less flavor, not resembling the dish I once ordered. Much smaller portions and in crease in price for online ordering and the shrimp is not fresh ! I can understand increase in price, but never skimp on flavor, quality or normal portions. Felt like I needed to stir my chicken tikka masala because the first few bites tasted very much like tomato sauce, not tikka masala. Never had to do that before. Went for dinner yesterday after long time. Ordered Panner Chilly and Gobi Manchurian staters. Paneer Chilly and Manchurian was not as it used to be. Dal tadka and Paneer Kali Mirch was really great and can recommend to try. Hope they change the starters again and make it as it was before. Aman's is always good.
