The servers and bartenders work hard to make your dining experience special, and do a great job at remembering their customers and their needs. It's a large, varied menu with lots of delicious and some unique items. Kudos to Chef Ben for his consistency, attention to special requests and for being a nice guy. The lovely Victoria does an incredible job managing this busy spot and hiring great staff. And, live music on weekends. This time I had the garlic shrimp, which was exceptional with a huge side of crispy, light , non greasy pub chips...yum. They are usually dusted with cheese, but mine were not due to an allergy. Dylan had the Prime Rib Sandwich,with fries, that he inhaled. A lovely couple next to us, who are regulars, Cathy and her husband (apologies), were so friendly and enjoyed their Million Dollar BLT and fries Kailey was our super attentive and pleasant server, and got to see the two best bartenders in the area, Felicia and Britt. Honestly, if you haven't been, your missing out! And there is also an outside sitting area, and across the street is the Fulton Pier, where you can see dolphins at night!

The front "porch" area before walking into this bar is very unassuming. I didn't expect to have such a great time and thought it was going to be more basic bar-ish. I had THE BEST time at this place. I see why people go here. It is a locals place, but out of towners were very welcomed too. Great service for sure. We were very impressed. There's a hot dog cart outside, so no excuse to be hungry. They were delicious! I seriously cannot remember the last time a bar checked all my boxes. Cost, clean, fun, crowd, great tunes, TVs to check out my Astros, and food upon leaving. Easily the best nighttime stop in the Rockport/Fulton area. It featured a super comfortable outside area, with adequate seating and spacing. The crowd was great, and perhaps the best, friendliest bartenders in the area. There is also an inside bar with pool, and machines,etc. But that night was truly a magical experience. So many people welcomed me, made me feel comfortable, and as always Boo and Poo did not disappoint. I'm just disappointed they don't have a regular slot there. Our table ordered pickle chips. 15 mins later waitress comes back and says they are out of pickle chips. When our food came out 30 mins after no fried shrimp for the fish and shrimp platter. Waitress says, "we are out of fried shrimp." Miscommunication or not hearing led to two small pieces of extra fish and no shrimp at all . And extra waiting . No refills except when we asked and sat for another 15 mins after finishing to get our bill. I ended up walking to the register and asked for the bill. They did give us credit for the fish and shrimp platter but tried to charge us for pickle chips we didn't get. More miscommunication. Everything culminated into a very frustrating visit.

First, to be honest, although I try not to eat bacon, I do love it. And at Poor Man's there is so much bacon that my dog is so excited when it's delivered because she just knows she's getting hers. Its perfectly constructed with just the exact amount of lettuce, tomato, mayo and excess bacon on toasted garlic bread. Served with fries that can be delicious or overly spiced; I guess the chefs mood. My only complaint is their hours, which is why I usually get it delivered. To me they close too early (although I have to keep reminding myself this is Rockport), and I never seem to have the right day. But its all good, because when I do have it I savor it.
