    Outside signage. I'll be back.

Had the hash and my gf had the biscuits and Gravy. Ranks in the top 3 of the best/ freshest/ homemade breakfasts I've ever had. People around town say the meatloaf on Weds shouldn't be missed. It was packed. They could use a sitting area while you wait. Natalie took good care of us.

Great staff. Good food. The environment isn't very appealing, but is clean. Locals are always crowding the place, so at times it can be hard to find a spot if you have a large group.

The food and service were great at this small town diner. It was our 2nd time there and it was consistently good!

Really good diner food and easy parking. They stay busy and the food is fresh and hot. Best onion rings I have had in years.

I've been there twice now…read more First night (Saturday) there was very loud, derogatory rap music playing. Families with kids eat there, they should not have to hear stuff like that. It was very hard to communicate with the server due to the noise. The actual menu is a lot smaller then what is shown on their website. Especially fish options. I had grouper tenders which were small and mostly breading. Not worth it. Fries were excellent. Tartar sauce appeared to be pure mayo, no sign of relish or lemon at all. Ketchup, mustard, and salt were the only condiments on the table, not sure if anything else was available, like cider vinegar or even pepper. It's a pub, you would think all that stuff to be automatic. Second night (9 pm Sunday) I tried to go elsewhere because of my previous night's experience, but not many other options. Most of Alma was already closed. Tonight there was no music playing, so I was able to have a conversation. I had the olive burger with steak fries, my son had boneless wings with Thai sauce and waffle fries. Everything was very good, and a good value for the money. I guess I need a third night to be a tie-breaker.

I have been to Bravehearts in the past since family lives in Alma. This past visit was painful…read more This business smelled awful. Basically took my drink to the outdoor patio (which was nice) and ended the night. Although I can't confirm my family member who likes to drink alot said the place was undergoing sewer repairs in the basement.

We also liked the corned beef and dill pickle appetizer wrapped in a egg roll looking presentation. Sandwiches are tasty and ample. Prices were very fair. Great views of the lake. They had never been there before, and since my past experiences were enjoyable, I thought it would be a great choice. Our server struggled throughout the meal, but the real issue came at the end. My husband has a serious egg allergy, and at first, the waitress didn't seem to take it very seriously until I emphasized it. Then, when the bill arrived, there was a $10 charge for a half Caesar salad I never ordered. I assumed it was included with my meal since it was placed in front of me. When I questioned it, the waitress claimed she thought my husband had ordered it--he had not. I explained that I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't order. She took the bill but never removed the charge, never apologized, and never addressed it again. This was frustrating for two reasons: I had ordered a large entrée that normally comes with a salad, so it wasn't unreasonable to assume it was part of my meal. And if she thought it was for my husband but he never ordered it, that was her mistake. Between the allergy being brushed off and being charged for food we didn't order, the experience was disappointing. Sadly, after this visit, I can't recommend Clifford Lake Inn.
