I asked MADD Air to come out and provide a quote for adding blown in insulation to a home I had…read morerecently purchased. When they arrived they were focused on trying to evaluate my air conditioning system rather than focus on the quote I requested. When the salesman realized he wasn't going to get any upsell wiggle room, he told me they don't do blown in insulation for less than three grand. This is more than every other company that offered quotes by as much as 50%. I would avoid based on the 'sales first' pushiness of the company. They are less interested in providing value to customers than pushing their sales. A company needs jobs to be profitable, but this is something else entirely.

My husband and I had to plan on replacing our unit, and after receiving a quote or two, I called…read moreMadd Air to see what their rates would be. Heather patiently answered as many of my questions as she could, and Charlie (the owner) spent over an hour explaining the ins and outs of units. What I appreciated most was he didn't talk to me like I was dumb or try to oversell me - I felt like I was talking to someone who could best explain the needs for my house. Justin came by the following day and gave us several quotes on various units. He didn't try selling the most-expensive unit (or even the step up from what we're getting). He also explained the ductwork and why the construction would be as extensive as planned. Our ducts are original to our 1970s house, and there are all kinds of holes that are beyond repair. Between the time we scheduled our unit install and the actual date (8 days from now ), Madd Air has handled any issues we've had to ensure we are comfortable. Our unit ran out of coolant and needed to be charged, and Justin added enough to hold us over. Their prices are right in line with the market, and in my opinion, they do far more than what other companies with the same quote can offer. We are customers for life and have referred friends and family to give Madd Air a try.

Richmond's Air - James and his crew after installing new unit!

This is an exceptional Air Conditioning company with an exceptional staff and service. Jason…read morecame to our home exactly on time to check our Echobee Thermostat and recalibrate it to set up the correct Temperatures and Humidity because it was sending messages of possible problems with our AC system. However, after checking our AC system and completing preventing maintenance for a really fair fee, Jason concluded that our AC system is in very good condition and it was more Thermostat wrong messaging than the AC system itself. My wife and I were extremely appreciated and happy Jason's professionalism as AC Technician and most of all for his/their honestly. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone, and I will hire them next time to check and do whatever maintenance in our AC system if needed. Thank you, Richmond's Air, for excellent service.

I really appreciate James for showing up the same day that I reached out for help on Yelp. He responded within minutes and came by my house after his doctor appointment. I already knew what was the issue with the AC as the previous AC company who works only for home warranty companies, came out 3 times and only did a band-aid job that lasted only 2 weeks. I knew it was out of freon because the AC was leaking freon. James was able to schedule for an early morning appointment to repair the leak the following day. He put in more freon in the meantime so my house will have air conditioning until they can repair it. The next morning, Chris and his crew showed up as promised, first thing in the morning and fixed the leak. I will definitely use Richmond's Air again in the future, but for now, hopefully this leak repair will last me for a few years before having to call for service again. Hopefully my next call to Richmond's Air will be a yearly maintenance type of deal and not to fix a leak! I definitely recommend this company. As a PSA, please, please, please STAY AWAY from home warranty service companies! If you must purchase one, stay away from Fidelity National. I won't mention the name of the HVAC company Fidelity National sent to fix my AC and then denied my claim and I had to pay over $1300 out of pocket for a band-aid fix that lasted only 2 weeks!

He arrived at my home a little after 8 AM and had diagnose the problem within 20 minutes and walked me through what needed to be done. The repairs were completed within a few hours. His team was professional, courteous, and most importantly very clean. I would highly recommend KAC Express to anyone with air-conditioning issues. The pricing was also very competitive and fair.

Jack came out, looked everything over, and was here maybe 10 minutes. There was no sales pitch or pressure--just a straightforward quote for a Trane unit. We appreciated the honesty and simplicity. The very next day, the installation crew arrived and had everything completed in about six hours. Later that afternoon, while I was cooking dinner, Trung (the owner) called and said he was outside. He wanted to personally inspect the installation before the job was considered finished. He thoroughly checked the crew's work, and you just don't see that level of customer service anymore. To top it off, KAC Express was less expensive than the other two companies that gave us estimates. Great price, quality equipment, fast installation, and outstanding customer service. If I could give KAC Express 10 stars, I absolutely would! Highly recommend them.

I was a victim of one of their technicians, Mark. He came out and told me he needed to charge my…read moresystem with a known leak in it and then wanted the check made out to Tabatha Agularia and not the company because of something to do with the refrigerant shipment. So, he took the check and went to my credit union (one mile down the road) and they wouldn't let him in to cash it. Why would he try to cash it right away? How, it wasn't made out to him? You don't turn checks into the company? So he went to some check cashing place and would have had to forge her signature to be able to cash the check. The credit union told me of his visit. Of course, the coolant leaked out. He finally installed the new evaporator, and it ruptured when he put pressure to it. He and his assistant left with my second check which I promptly put a stop payment on it. The company or Tabatha, never responded to my calls until the second check didn't go through. I explained what he did and she said "he's done this before" and they still never came back and fixed anything. He recently admitted to all this when texting me and now I will file. I'm not sure who owns the company, but it cost them money for the refrigerant x2 and the evaporator and labor. Mark left me with a ruptured evaporator and out $550 that went in his pocket I assume and they would never return phone calls or emails. The recent contact included email to Tabatha and he responded so what is her part in this? Why would he be responding to her email. And the email said "FU and the bitch ass Tabatha". Time to file.

Parker evaluated the cause (slow leaking evaporator coil) but he wanted to be sure the rest of the system maintained integrity by performing a pressure leak test which he did a few days later. He charged the system back up, enough to get me to the pressure test. Confirming the problem, he passed me over to Hope who provided a solution and explained in detail what needed to be done, what it would cost, and how long it would take. This was on a Friday afternoon. She was able to coordinate the required new equipment, materials and schedule their construction team for the following Monday morning. Everything was in place that morning and needless to say, they knew what to do and how to do it. They jumped on it, and never stopped. No breaks, no lunch and were finished by 2:00 PM. This was a major project, having to demo and rebuild the supply plenum, remove and replace the coil section of the furnace, install a new drain pan and drains, etc. As fate would have it, my thermostat had failed and that caused a delay getting the system to start. Richard, another airWoodlands tech came out and discovered the problem quickly and provided me with a new thermostat. From Angela, to Parker, to Hope, to Cossa, and to Richard, I could not have asked for a better team from any one, anywhere. Customer service in general has failed in America, but this group is an exception. I will never have to search for an a/c contractor. Air Woodlands is the best. (A special call out to Parker.
