Prior to moving down here 2 years ago (during Covid) I would come here as a guest when visiting my brother. Didn't really pay much attention to the machines and such at that time. But now - tv's don't work well at all - today there were none on. When they are on, 4 are running a loop of ads, 2 are Spectrum News1 and another is a sports channel that is ALWAYS on pause. Add to that that the same 4 machines have been out of order for weeks. Additionally, the tv's on the machines don't work. Perhaps it's some things were addressed and repaired. I would love to have a Planet Fitness in Moore County. I was a PF member when I lived in CT and they kept it very clean and all the amenities in working order. I've noticed the same at several other PF's as well weh I've gone on vacation. If something was not working, it was fixed quickly. That should be the expectation of any gym, shouldn't it?

With such amazing and kind members. Sarah (owner/coach) is one of those people who is so nice, friendly, and accommodating you think it can't be real. But she is like that. Every. Single. Day. And at 0500. I had a great experience here. I thought the workouts were solid. I was short on sleep while down here and Sarah and her team were very accommodating with scaling options and the members were all super supportive. Love it. 110% recommend. Will be back on my next trip.

The swimming pool is a bit on the small side, but never seems to be terribly busy outside of some of the kid's swim classes the provide. It's incredibly clean inside with alcohol wipes provided for wiping down machines when you're done. My only gripe has to do with the rubber dumbbells upstairs. Some of them are missing their labels that tell you how much it weighs. This is excusable because they are usually in order, but it would be nice to see the number when you're staring down the rack.

It was a good workout so I signed up for the special which was for lessons during the next month for $55. I didn't know if my body would hold up for this because it is quite strenuous Plus I didn't have much energy left when I would come home from work. So I ended up only going to two sessions of the four I was allotted. No problem at that point however they automatically debited my bank account for $69 for the next month. I was unaware that I had signed up for anything more than the special package of four lessons. Unfortunately I am older and live very close to the budget... Meaning I have to keep very close track of my spending and income. So, it was a shock to me that they went ahead and debited my account without my formal authorization. No one told me they were going to do that when I signed up for the $55 special. I called them to complain but they refuse to refund my money! Instead they said and they forced this on me that they would give me a total of 7 sessions meaning the two that I had left from the special plus five more to use before December. I was not happy about this because my body was not taking well to the extreme exercise. Plus anything coming out of my bank account without my knowing is never a good thing. I have not been back to Pure Barre since last May or June.. I have been moving from a place that I lived in for 14 years and that is a total nightmare. I came across their leaflet so I called them again about getting my $69 back and the first girl I spoke to was new period. And said she would talk to the office manager Mary. Well Mary called me back later on with an attitude that I was some kind of a pest who had called her number of times. I do not recall calling more than once or twice when they took that money. She was rude and obnoxious and had no interest in helping the situation. But proceeded to lie and try to pass me off to their corporate headquarters regarding the situation. She spoke over me and then hung up on me!! I called back and left a message and no one has responded. I know she never spoke to the owner regarding the situation but she lied about it. If they are that greedy and nasty maybe they should change the name of their place from Pure Barre to raging bitches!
