Today when I walked into Planet Fitness "Belle" a shift lead did not greet me with a hello, welcome…read morein, how's your day anything of that nature. Instead she started talking about how I went out the back door yesterday. At first, I didn't even know what she was talking about because I have been exiting that door since I've been a member over two years now. So when I started to explain that to her, she frowned up her face and stated it says emergency. I replied, I know what the sign says, and I have seen several other members exit through there all the time. If you google planet fitness it states you can go to that exit door if you are parking back in which I am, so I never thought nothing of it. I don't have a problem with not using the back door since there is no sign there stating you cannot exit. I do have a problem with her approach. When dealing with the public, you should always have a smile on your face and a good rapport with people what she is lacking. Instead, she stands up there with her phone in her hand most of the time or talking among other staff members. I did call corporate and speak with customer service representatives to notify him of the situation. He did clarify some things concerning the back door and I understood clearly. He did state that her behavior was unacceptable and gave me a months free membership.

This gym is placed next to a restaurant and it always smells like grease in the gym makes me feel…read moresick. They also have limited equipment. After canceling my wife's membership they charged me for 2 additional months and when I found out I called and spoke with them and they only refunded me one month refusing to refund the other month that was not used. Me and my wife both being in the military she was sent to California for 4 months and they still refused to refund the month unused. Yet they hang up military flags giving off the impression they support military, obviously not. I recommend using Trufit in southern pines. More equipment and the staff is friendly. Also if you do a contract it's even cheaper than here. Will never use this gym again and would never recommend anyone to use this gym.

The app wouldn't work so I was not able to schedule classes, had to call every time. They got it fixed & then on the next months renewal it wouldn't work again. These workouts are in no way for beginners. You really need to be somewhat in shape to do most of the exercises, which put middle age to older people at risk for injuries. Much too expensive to have this many issues.
