MY HAPPY 2nd Home!! Started here at the beginning of the year and have found happiness in not only the workouts but the atmosphere, the community, the support and overall vibe. Not only was I welcomed right away but so was my entire family. Even when transitioning to a new owner, it still continued seamlessly. Coaches and members are genuine, knowledgeable, helpful and inspiring. It's more than "just a gym", more than "just a box", it's more than "just getting a workout in"...it's a lifestyle that's exciting to transition into with warm inviting people who instantly make you feel comfortable and like you can achieve anything you set your mind to! I highly recommend you give it a try!

Wasn't planning on doing crossfit on our trip down to Disneyland but while visiting family in Elk Grove, the drop in fee for CF916 was affordable so it was a no brainer to drop in. Christina was an excellent coach and the facility was big and clean. Thank you everyone for being welcoming and awesome!

I started at this box as a total beginner in January and I love it! The trainers are super patient and genuinely care that you make progress. They push you to do as much as you can do, but NEVER at the expense of proper form and safety. They also have strength classes three days per week that are really intense, but a lot of fun. We do a lot of other fun things as a group and everyone is really inclusive.

This place is amazing! Don't expect to workout here and hate it, well, maybe during but after- there's nothing but pure glory knowing you finished. The trainers are absolutely amazing, they push and encourage you to do your best while everyone else cheers you on. Great group of folks! Try it out, just try not to get addicted!

You won't regret trying out 916. Not only are the trainers knowledgeable and interested in making sure you get in a great workout injury free, but they make sure you are comfortable and welcomed. I am 34, and on the best shape I have been in since high school, maybe even of my life. I started just after having my second baby and haven't looked back. My husband followed a few months after me, and now my whole family loves the gym. My kids take part in CF kids and have a blast doing it. They have a great example in fitness in watching us exercise and in doing it themselves. Bring your family (or just yourself!) and have fun getting in shape!

My journey started 3 years ago this month with my 15 yr old son in tow I walked my 45 year old, busted knees and 386lb body into the box and we weren't met with disapproving disgusted looks we were met with sincere greetings, support and well wishers. I just recently returned after a 3 month absence and my fist day back the Love and Support was still there. You're NEVER going to experience a better torturous and agonizing experience anywhere else that adds an incredible supportive team that is willing to work with you due to your skill level. Anyone and Everyone is Welcomed with open and supportive arms, and it shows. I'm glad and Honored to be a part of the team I mean CF916 Family.

I'm the strongest I've ever been, both physically and mentally, and I owe so much of that to the incredible coaches and staff. From day one, everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging. The coaches constantly push me outside of my comfort zone, helping me try new things and become a better version of myself. They genuinely care about your progress and celebrate your wins right alongside you. One of the things I never expected was the amazing friendships I've made. What started as simply showing up for a workout has turned into becoming part of a community filled with people who motivate, support, and cheer each other on. It's been incredible getting to know so many members, and I've made friendships that extend far beyond the gym. The owners, coaches, and front desk staff go out of their way to get to know every member, check in to see how you're doing, and make everyone feel valued. They create such a positive, welcoming environment that it truly feels like a safe place where people of all fitness levels can come, work toward their goals, and simply enjoy being there. Whether you're getting in a workout before work or unwinding after a long day, The Camp is the perfect place to be. The camaraderie, motivation, and genuine sense of belonging are unlike any other gym I've experienced. I'm so grateful to be part of this community, and I can't recommend The Camp enough. I came here for a trial class for iso. Never heard of Hotworx before until doing this class…read more Essentially the concept is, is that you get to attend recorded classes 24/7, but the classes are in saunas. You have to turn on the sauna for maybe 5-10 minutes so it can warm up to your desired temperature. They recommend the sauna be 120F for best results. There are different types of workouts, and from what I remember there was cycing, glutes, and iso--just to name a few. Each sauna room seems to accommodate up to 3 people. You can reserve a class ahead of time and complete your workout. The more workouts you complete and the more calories you burn, you earn points to redeem towards items. The iso workout was like 30-45 minutes long. It was actually very challenging. For a workout in which I usually would be able to complete outside of a sauna, inside of the sauna, it was WAY harder, and I came out of the workout DRENCHED in sweat. Outside of the rooms, there are cubbies where you can place your items in. They have cameras on the inside of the building so that can help with the safety of your items in the cubbies. They do offer little life alert lanyards that you can bring into your workout in case you're alone and worry about your safety--whether from the workout or your personal safety. I highly recommend bringing your water bottle and a towel (they do provide towels but there may be a charge). You WILL get easily dehydrated because you are sweating so much. However, the sweating made me feel very relaxed at the end of the workout. I would love to do their workouts again in the future. Some criticisms I saw when I read about the Hotworx workouts in figuring out if I should join or not, is that the workout videos don't change very often and that people wished the instructors provided alternate movements for movements that may be more difficult for people. Just some things I've noticed in figuring out if I should commit to classes. The staff were very friendly in explaining how the facility runs. Overall, I would recommend Hotworx based off my experiences!

I never used Yelp but I signed up for an account just to leave this review so people know how…read moreretarded this gym management is. Extremely disappointed with this gym. Sunday morning: 30+ people waiting for ONE basketball court, while another full court was reserved for volleyball with just one person using it. This isn't a one-time issue -- it's clear mismanagement of limited space. When dozens of paying members are standing around and an entire court sits basically empty, something is seriously wrong. Scheduling courts by preset sport type instead of actual demand makes zero sense. It leads to overcrowding, frustration, and people walking out. And no, renting a court is not a solution. Members are already paying monthly fees. Being told to pay extra for space that's clearly underused -- especially by a rude staff member -- just makes it worse. Around 11:30 I went to court 3, I saw a lot of people shooting the hoop in 40+ ft up, and that kid was still playing solo there. And the gym still allowed it. What a joke. If you care about actually being able to use the facilities you pay for, think twice before joining.

STOP DELETING MY REVIEWS…read more I'm honestly extremely disappointed with this place. On Sunday morning, there was only one basketball court open with more than 30 people waiting to play, while another full court was reserved for volleyball -- and there was literally just one person using it. One person. Meanwhile, dozens of members were crowded around trying to rotate into a single basketball court. It makes no sense. This is not about disliking volleyball. It's about basic management and understanding demand. When you have overwhelming interest in basketball during peak hours and almost no usage for volleyball, why would the schedule not reflect that? Why not adjust in real time? Why not prioritize based on actual member participation? Instead, members were left standing around, frustrated, wasting their Sunday morning. Many people ended up leaving because the wait was unreasonable. That's not a good experience, especially for a gym that members pay for. It feels like management either doesn't pay attention to what's actually happening on the floor or simply doesn't care enough to make adjustments. If the courts are consistently mismanaged like this, it shows a lack of responsiveness and respect for members' time. If you're thinking about joining this gym -- think twice. If you're a current member who mainly comes to play basketball, be prepared for overcrowding and poor scheduling decisions. It's hard to recommend this place when basic court allocation isn't handled properly. Members deserve better organization, better communication, and better management than this. Honestly, if this continues, it's not worth it. Stay away if court access matters to you.
