I absolutely LOVE the functional and corrective training methods that are designed to have my body function at its peak performance. I initially started training with her because I struggled with my weight and accountability. When I was on, I was on, but when I was off, I was off. Having a trainer has helped me stay consistent with my health and fitness in a way I could not do on my own. I stay training with her because I know her number one priority is my health and overall fitness. She always knows what my body needs, and I fully entrust her to do her job. It is a breath of fresh air not to have to think about what I need to do in the two hours per week I spend with her. My body has never felt better, and my quality of life consistently improves week over week, month over month, and year over year. I highly recommend it, whether you are trying to improve your health or have specific fitness goals to reach. I will be a client for life!

At this point, I was scared I would never be able to run or do high intensity work outs again. Luckily, a friend recommended me to George. We did all of our sessions over FaceTime video. Within 2 months, the pain had completely gone away. 2 months after that, George had me back at training. What was most impressive about George is that, I thought I only had an issue with my achilles, but he uncovered that I had imbalances in my hips, back, and shoulder. Now that I am back in training, I move SO much more fluid and am much stronger than I was previously. I was so impressed with my results that I have referred nearly 5 of my friends to George already and they all are having amazing results. George is truly a secret weapon. If you are facing any kind of serious injury or you want to take your performance to the next level, George is your guy.

Kind of torn on my rating of Crunch Fitness…read more.. I probably wouldn't even leave a review honestly, but today changed my mind. Today I woke up before 5am to get a workout in. I pulled up and found only a couple of cars in the lot, with people waiting in them. The opening employee apparently didn't show up to work. Over the past couple of months the front desk staff has been not great. There was one guy who was always on his personal cell talking to someone on speakerphone at like 5am. Super weird, and he couldn't be that helpful because he was preoccupied. There was literally one day, where there was a gal at the desk, she was very very nice-engaged-pleasant. Saw her once and then never again. The guy following her couldn't be bothered to look up from his cell phone as people scanned in. This is a horrible impression of the business and their attention to their customers. Plus without someone paying attention the safety of customers is lacking too. The gym always seems clean. Gym users seem to be great about wiping equipment down after use. And the general condition of equipment is good. Price is acceptable too.

Spent $15 for a day pass and decently worth it since you get access to the amenities (I don't use those tho, and they did bait and switch me but that's okay because I was gonna spend the $15 anyways but funny they told me it would be free day pass on phone then charged in person ‍) Wish the area with mirrors was better for lifting The funny thing is gyms are supposed to upsell you on a membership. They didn't even ask me in person if I wanted to join. Seems to be a lack of culture and community here which I'll respectfully pass on being a member here. But as I said above if a business does a bait and switch they aren't to be trusted and don't deserve your money.

He had to check with his manager (who was off that day) about one thing and asked if he could call me the next day with an answer. He actually ended up calling while I hadn't yet driven away from the facility. Luis did a remarkable job with a great attitude! I hope he gets a raise. :) I would give the entire facility five stars because I enjoy this place very much, but one disappointment I continue to have is how long it takes for repairs to be made when things break. I actually made a list in my phone of things I love and don't love. Why not paste it here? Love * Pleasant Smell when I walk into the gym. * The cleanliness of the lobby. * The natural light pouring in from huge windows. * The usually friendly greeting from the staff. * Filtered water fountains throughout the facility. * Free Ice machine in front. * Numerous class options. * The personal trainers I've met--pretty great people. * All the various sitting areas. It is welcoming for a person to just come hang out. * The cafe and healthy food options (along with a few not-so-healthy). * Lovely and newly renovated basketball/volleyball court. * Fantastic views of mountains, especially from the treadmills. Ahhhhh * Variety of cardio machines. * The multiple places to stretch and do my own PT exercises. * The intentional signage about fitness floor etiquette--thank you. * The provision of towels (small and large), Q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion--also great smells. * The cold, wet hand towels (sprinkled with ice cubes) provided by the hot tub and sauna. Nice touch! * The delightful pool area. I thoroughly enjoy spending a few minutes to sit in the sun after a workout. There is landscaping and trees separating the adult pool from the kiddos' (which is remarkable with slides and fun things), so we don't really hear the kids or even see them. We enjoy the separate space with many options for shade or sun. Feels like a resort. * Friendly class instructors. The ones I have experienced are encouraging without being demeaning. I enjoy the camaraderie between the members too. Don't love * Light burned out by mirror in locker room that has been so for months * Broken towel hooks in showers--also been broken for months * The smell of mold in some of the showers * The rust on the plumbing by the toilets * Certain places on the tile in toilet areas that haven't been cleaned for a long time * Blow dryers breaking and not being replaced * The ladies' hot tub being shut down for several days * How long it took to replace conditioner when it ran out. If it is a supply problem, worst case send an employee to Costco to buy several containers to hold things over until the situation is resolved. * How expensive the cafe is. * The number of cardio machines that have broken pieces that have gone unrepaired. * The decision to not carry the top shelf tequila anymore--the cheaper stuff gives me a migraine. Why not provide members the best? Be winning in the "second mile" like Chick-Fil-A! * How long it takes for broken lockers to be repaired. * Power outlet in the locker room with a sign that reads "out of service" that has been like that for months. * The various places of dead landscaping (by the entrance, by the pool bathrooms). * So many laminated signs telling us something is out of service! That's nice as opposed to hand-written signs taped everywhere. How about more energy to fix things promptly, though? * Employees power-washing the steam room during the middle of the day. Rather do that after hours? Signs are posted to discourage phone use in the locker room that hurts the atmosphere, yet power washing in the middle of the day was acceptable. This hasn't happened for a while--perhaps they've made a change on this. I am grateful they're cleaning the steam room! * Consideration for employees and how leadership decisions affect them. I've heard from a few employees (and one parent) that this is can be an unfortunate issue. All these "don't love" things, I believe, could be easily fixed with leadership being attentive. Having been in leadership in some way or another most of my life, I know just a few intentional decisions and implementation of systems of quality control could make a big difference. Maybe have certain team members walk through daily checking for details and empowering them to make work orders for repairs. Have arrangements for prompt fixes after hours! Reward your staff! Listen to them. Pay well. You'll keep the good ones longer if you treat them well. Be generous! The whole place will feel the difference, and you'll have more members joining and staying as a result. All things considered, I am super grateful to have found this gym and for my membership here. It's a very happy place for me, and I look forward to every time I'm here!

Prepare to enter the Twilight Zone…read more.. PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAM at Vasa 3020 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 I work a lot. So I got a personal trainer to make it easier to work with my schedule. I found that scheduling was accomplished via texting with the trainer. I was never made aware of another way. He suggested group classes because they last longer. I obliged, but that meant arriving at a time when I was sometimes still working. We texted often, since I often could not make the times he set (1-2 offerings a week). Even when I pointed out I could not easily make the times he was setting, things didn't change. In my 9 months with Vasa, I missed one class a month due to bookclub. I missed at least 5 classes due to vacation. And I was able to make the rest of the sessions only 75% of time due to work. We could only make up 2-3 sessions, because scheduling was so hard. The trainer also cancelled 3 sessions himself. Two of those times I had already shown up for class. The most recent time it was 24 hrs before class. I broke my finger on the day we were supposed to have that make-up session. So that never got made up. I never complained to management about not being able to make sessions because the trainer and I frequently discussed (in person, by text) making them up. I assumed he was keeping track of my presence/absences. I froze my training account for 3 months due to finger fracture surgery (I kept my gym membership). I let upper mngt (email) and my trainer know (text) my goal was to make up 5 sessions eventually. Once my finger healed, I accomplished one make-up session (organized with my trainer). But then, as usual, it was hard to schedule the next one. I asked Emma the "personal training manager" at the front desk about a trainer with more openings. She said it did not look like I was due make-up sessions and I could not make sessions up until she spoke with upper mngt. She said she would call me the next day. She never called. My trainer texted offers to help out, apologizing but never explaining why my account showed no make-ups due. I wrote to upper management to cancel my training account explaining that my make-up lessons had been taken away. They asked to explore the issue and after 2 weeks this was their response: "After speaking with the club, I understand they reviewed your account and confirmed there are no remaining Personal Training sessions available. They also shared that your trainer had previously allowed you to participate in group sessions as a courtesy after your available sessions had been used." So not only do I have NO makeups but Ive been getting free sessions haha. Did the "nice" trainer make this up because he wasnt recording presence/absence? Or most likely, based on his texts, they never spoke to him. Vasa's lack of transparency, organization, and professionalism has been astounding. Apparently upper management and the front desk understand little about what is actually going on with personal training. Customer service was unwilling to listen or properly research the issue (they never asked me which sessions were missed or acknowledged whether absences were recorded)- and their ultimate response seen above was dishonest. That made me cancel general Vasa membership as well. It's a shame. I liked the gym's equipment and my trainer seemed nice.
