All of the doctors, midwives, and doulas I'm working with have heard of her great work and see her as one of their peer experts. When I first began researching trainers for pregnant women, I found lots of general practice trainers who are willing to work with pregnant women and say they know how to. However, Abby is the only one I've found who is passionate about this, uniquely focuses on this, and brings an insane amount of expertise to the unique needs pregnant women have. The unusual combination of her deep knowledge of how to best work with pregnant women, her overall energy, and her intuition have played an integral role in helping me to feel ready for my upcoming delivery. She has helped me stay limber, get strong, and has educated me along the way about what is happening with my body at each stage and change of pregnancy from a fitness perspective. I also appreciate how much she normalizes how I'm feeling (especially at this late stage in the pregnancy) and brings some humor to our workouts. (i.e. she helps me laugh a little when I feel like getting on and off the floor is as intense as the rest of the workout. LOL!). Each month Abby provides me with a workout calendar and workout programs I can do between the sessions I have with her. Those plans are super tailored and thoughtful based on what is happening with my body and pregnancy. She often checks in after workouts in case she needs to tailor our next workout session at all. I will be seeing Abby for my postpartum recovery workouts too. I see her as an integral part of my continued health and wellness. I cannot recommend her enough.

The owner and my trainer, Kelsey, are so accommodating and flexible to my needs as a Frequent Flyer Fitness Failure - with years of trying to get in shape on my own. I get just the right amount of push to keep going and do more without it ever feeling like a "punishment" or demoralizing. And she's collaborative with me! Always checking in on how I feel, if the weights feel challenging enough without over straining, and is letting me get used to the increased work on my body taking my rests and catching my breath. Fortitude Fitness has made exercise FUN. I look forward to it every week. I *miss* it on my off days. As someone who never did much structured fitness (all self-driven if it was done at all) I 1000% recommend this place for anyone who has been struggling with confidence in what to do, where to start, or keeping consistent. Fortitude Fitness ticks all those boxes and I'm so excited for the future with them.

The facility is unclean…read more The big issue is that the instant the staff have access to your payment information, they will start nickel and diming random charges. Front desk staff will be unable to help with these. Then the managers, Matthew Alequin and John Atchley are never present. You'll be told repeatedly that they're in "After 4pm" or "On Monday" or "Tomorrow"--only to show back up and be told you just missed them. If you look up the location--you'll find a YouTube video of someone trying to dispute random nickel and dime charges in Sept '25 who was treated extremely poorly. There are better gyms in this city.

Even during peak hours, there's usually something available to use, which is a huge plus. That said, two things really stood out to me that could use improvement: overall cleanliness and front desk hospitality. The gym floors (main area, special rooms, and locker rooms) consistently had paper towels, leftover chalk, and noticeable grime. The locker room in particular felt like it needed more frequent attention. After observing how often staff were cleaning, it made sense why the facility looked the way it did -- the effort in this area seems minimal. On my first day, I approached the front desk with a couple of questions. I understand most people just scan in and go, but if someone is standing at the desk for a minute, it's probably because they need assistance. Unfortunately, both staff members I interacted with that day came across as dismissive. I wasn't offered a short tour or any kind of welcome. I gave them my number, and all I was told was, "You're good," before they turned away to help someone else. I'll likely still join because the price and proximity are great, but these two areas -- cleanliness and staff engagement -- could really use improvement. A little more attention and friendliness would make a huge difference in the overall member experience.

I appreciate the science behind the program and thoughtful approach to longevity. No barbells = lower risk of trauma. And more importantly - if you come consistently and challenge yourself, you'll be in your best shape ever. Love the people here, and what the owners are doing for the community beyond the gym itself. Casey, Amelia and Ashley are the coaches and they definitely keep everyone on track, but, more importantly keep them doing the exercises correctly so we are safe. There are five lanes rated from beginner to top to tier athlete. Each lane goes progressively higher weights. On my first session, I thought I was gonna die and my friend Red gave me the best piece of advice about this place. "It never gets easy, but it does get better," with all of that said, I will tell you that I have moved up one lane and I'm very close to moving up one more. I've lost two pants sizes and I am noticeably stronger when I do things outside of the gym. This place is not for the faint of heart. They will work you like a borrowed mule and you'll be tired every single time you leave, but you can't argue with the results, also all the people that go there are super cool and everyone encourages everyone. And it's like a gym for real people sure there are some people there that are like in super good shape but there's some out if shape old people like me just trying to get better and getting results. If you're looking to lose weight and get in shape, I promise you this is the place to go. They have a variety of times you can go throughout the day and you can schedule it through the app.
