Other gyms made it too painful to continue but not Hotworx. It doesn't hurt anymore and my skin looks so much better. More calories burned in a short amount of time and sometimes if I'm too tired I can sit in the sauna and still burn. Plus all the extra goodies they offer help too on top of so many opportunities to earn raffle tickets to a possible free month. 24/7 with a specialized passcode to the front door and staff Monday through Saturday. I found this club randomly on yelp and reached out for more information. Coach Miguel was super…read moreinformative and invited me to come in for a Saturday intro session for women's kickboxing. I came and did the class and I was hooked in the first 20 minutes. After the class, I inquired for long term participation and signed up for 3x a week. They had a Christmas sale that was awesome, the class was really good and it pushed me to step out of my house and workout with other people other than me. After a week or so, I decided to upgrade my membership to the 5x a week because it's just that good! All of the coaches are super knowledgeable, motivating and I feel like I'm a part of a community which is the most important part. I am so happy to be a part of this club and I hope more of my friends join me in this fun journey! I can't wait to continue to learn new techniques! Why?…read moreBecause I've never been dedicated to a work out routine more than 6 weeks in my life, by myself. The whole system of accountability in the Orange Theory App, the classes you sign up for, the coaches, and most importantly.....myself. Great location, the staff is friendly, from the front desk people to the Coaches. I've never had a bad experience here. I've only had great moments. So far, I've worked out with some great coaches: Chris, Joseph, and Jess. There's no particular order of favorites but I will say, my top coach has the best playlist. Other than that, with every coach I've worked out with, they are informational and they know what they're doing! So yes, the staff is friendly, motivational and knowledgeable. Timeliness and organized, I can only talk about this location, I've never been to any other OT gym, but they are very timely and organized which helps me out a bunch! I don't need to plan my workouts or time them, I just need to make sure I put something in my stomach for a pre-workout, drink water and show up! It just makes things so much easier for me. You may have to pay higher than what you normally pay at a normal gym, but it's all worth it. Do I see results? Yes, I do. I see my body changes, I see my heart changes for the better and overall health has improved. I see myself attending classes at least 3 times a week. OT makes things simple and this location is just a great place to be.

John has done a great job turning this gym back around to where it should be, in a relatively short period of time. Gym and restrooms are clean, equipment is in good working order and the staff is back to greeting members and saying goodbye as they leave. The past manager really let this place go, but John has brought it back to a excellent workout environment. A word to upper management..... do not lose John.

The only times I see the manager in here he is just trying to haggle people into signing up for his low intensity over loud music. The machines are rarely broken (I feel like everytime I go to the colonial location the machine I want to use is broken so it's nice that they stay on top of it here in Altamonte Springs). I have the top tier membership which is about $30/month (not including annual fee, etc.) There is a sauna in each of the bathrooms as well as a hot studio! No pool at this location. R&R area has massage chairs, cryotherapy, a tanning booth, and hydromassage beds! The classes are fantastic here, and the instructors for the classes always have such a fun personality. Definitely get the app if you plan on taking any of the classes. Registration for classes open 22 hours before the class, and the hot studio classes specifically are a hot commodity so they book up very quickly but are SO WORTH IT! The training staff can be a little pushy with trying to get you to sign up for personal training sessions. HOWEVER, I have no problem telling them no even if they are being pushy. Typically if you walk in and out with your headphones on you can avoid an awkward conversation if you aren't interested in the personal training sessions. I have done a couple of the sessions when I was offered free ones, but honestly I've never been convinced to actually buy more of the training sessions (my work schedule is kinda sporadic PLUS all 3 times I've done it my trainers have been late and it kinda messed up my scheduling for the day, but I appreciate the new exercises the trainers taught me!) Overall as a gym, this is a fantastic location! The staff is friendly (when not trying to get you to buy training sessions) and it's truly a place where I can lock in and get my workouts done :)

My son (a minor) recently went in person, as requested by staff on the phone, where he was advised that he needed to make another payment, which was never explained to him what it was for, they charged him $19.36 which I must point out is $2 more then his monthly membership. Fast forward a week I was charged another $17.23 for his membership. When he went up there they told him they were "investigating" and would call me back. Here we are another 3 weeks later with no word from anyone at Crunch fitness and now they have no history of the $19.36 payment he was "required" to pay when he requested to cancel, the staff member who "processed" the cancellation DID NOT fully complete the process so a cancellation was never sent to my email. I just got off a phone call with the "General Manager" John and he was especially UNHELPFUL. The call started what I thought helpful and understanding, until he started to speak to me in an absolutely condescending tone, unwilling to "meet me in the middle" on a clear clerical error on HIS EMPLOYEE's part. I have never had this many issues in canceling a membership or have been treated with such disrespect.

Honestly, it makes you wonder if this is part of the reason why, out of all the Planet Fitness locations, the Lake Mary location often feels like the emptiest one. People notice atmosphere and customer service, and it absolutely affects whether members want to keep coming back. Customer service and basic friendliness matter. Members are paying to be there, and a simple greeting and respectful interaction can make a huge difference. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the overall member experience.
