She kept me in line and accountable with an ever lasting smile that she cared about the people working out in her gym. she also never pushed me to my limits. I got a lot of negative exposure from people who have done this type of work out before and have said that you can strain or hurt yourself doing this kind of exercise. There are many clients that have been here as long, or longer than me. I appreciate the classbased teaching, with an individualized touch. The coaches and owners know my name. There is such a sense of community here. I have a complete home gym, but I still love coming to CrossFit EW for the community and a class. I certainly push myself more in a group situation, and I appreciate the coaches watching each one of us, giving tips and tricks and pointers. They won't even go so far as to tell you how much weight to lift or give you additional exercise options if you're not comfortable with a particular exercise or if you were not very proficient in a particular exercise. I appreciate their expertise. This gym is not a typical CrossFit gym because it has a towel service, clean bathrooms, clean showers, plenty of parking, as well as a small bar area which serves protein shakes to order. The equipment is in good shape, and there is plenty of equipment for everyone in the class. You also don't have to clean up after yourself, like some CrossFit gyms, this place has a cleaning crew and the coaches are very good about keeping it clean. Of course you have to return your own equipment, you can't leave it sitting out, but those are the same rules for any gym. There are new monthly challenges, a whiteboard to post your personal goals, and fun member events sporadically throughout the year. This is a great gym to start your journey of fitness. They focus on physical and mental well-being, exercise, and nutrition. There are so many different classes and courses available, as well as individualized training. I was so impressed! They helped me alter any exercises that I wasn't ready for so I could start on my skill level (I gave them the heads up I was new), and took the time to answer any questions and show me how to do something when I wasn't sure. They also took any injuries or concerns I had seriously and helped me confidently enter back into the work out mode. I have since tried the belly, buns and guns class and took my first few yoga classes! If you're either skilled or entering as a newbie like me, this is the right place!
