The gym itself has all the cardio and weight machines you would expect from a larger chain gym, an indoor walking/running track, and two larger indoor basketball courts. The machines are always pretty clean and I found the people to be more courteous here than say a planet fitness; possibly because they know they all work together. Another option for this gym is that they have a lower cost membership that grants access to the walking/running track and the showers/locker room. This is nice if you love near downtown and want to run to work or if you are a bike commuter. I believe they still do classes or the guy behind the desk will show you how to use the machines and set up a basic workout plan with you. Overall, this place is pretty nice and has a good vibe; if you're looking for a place to workout downtown, try this out.

I found out that running is a science and more than just taking off. We worked on proper weight lifting and how to limit injury. They have regular morning and evening classes. There are people who are athletes, regular fitness folks, and some who are just getting into exercise. Going to Crossfit BMW is a commitment as you pay a monthly price to attend classes. Most people who join a box are dedicated to Crossfit. I felt welcomed even though I was not in the best of shape and encouraged to do my best in all the techniques shown. The coach was accommodating, but still pushed you. Definitely something to try if you are looking for a challenge in your workout.

I'm very pleased to have a location that I don't have to be a member to use their sauna and on top of that you're able to reserve using their app. Please note they did book quickly, so book a head. **Let me start off - every REIF is pricing is different. So confirm pricing before booking. For all their services, they do request you arrive 15 to 30 mins early which I didn't know they'll also allow you to go in early as well. The sauna has it's own room, so no need to change in the restroom. You'll get a total of 45 mins, so make sure to change FAST. Lol! So why 3 stars? Well I was informed they have WIFI, music streaming, and Netflix (if you have an account) all in the sauna area; unfortunately when i tried internet, it was SO SLOW. I literally couldn't do anything - I was glad at least a class was going so i'll have some good music playing in the background (tried to tone out the instructor). I was excited to use the pre-settings in the sauna system but it seems like it wasn't getting heat enough - eventually i cancelled and turned up to the max. I will return but with a plan - soon as i walk in TURN UP THE TEMPERATURE (while i change) and don't count on internet to be working. If this place was closer, then i might look the other way but since i literally passed two other REIF; I was looking for top notch I guess.

She says, "Corporate will send you a check for your deposit." I asked for an email confirmation that I returned my items and I am to receive a refund. She said she would email me. I haven't seen refund or email and had to dispute charges to my bank. I am now reporting them to BBB also for ignoring my phone calls and not replying to any emails.

I came across Retrofit Studio reviews here on Yelp, sort of accidentally. I liked what I read from the reviews & their website. I liked the idea of a private studio too. I called Brad & set up a consultation. There is no doubt that Brad loves what he does & wants every client to be successful. He spent a lot of time listening & talking to me about realistic goals, nutrition, and what to expect. He decided to set me up with Mark, one of his trainers. So far, I have had 8 training sessions with Mark. When Brad said he was a good fit for me, he was right! My sessions are 30 minutes, 2 times a week. By the time I leave, I am a sweaty mess! Mark challenges me, makes sure I have good form, and always encouraging. If I don't do it right, I have to do it again. Every session varies to work different muscle groups, especially the areas that are difficult to target. As hard as he makes me work, I'm never too sore to exercise in between our sessions. That is important to me because I need to do my part outside of our sessions. Mark checks with me regarding my diet and what I'm doing to reach my weight loss goals between our sessions. I always have fun training with Mark even when it's really difficult. The studio itself is great. It's very clean, doesn't smell funky like a lot of gyms (ha!), and a great variety of training techniques & equipment. There are a few cardio machines for client use before or after a session. Every trainer is always encouraging clients, whether it's their client or not. What about results? I started to feel stronger right away and continue to feel that way. I'm steadily losing weight & seeing the jiggle disappear! My muffin top is shrinking! I asked my husband if he noticed any changes. The poor guy looked at me with slight fear of answering the wrong way. ha! I wanted an honest answer. I don't expect fast results, but I am curious if the changes I see are noticeable to others. He said that he has seen a big change. He said I have been a lot happier since I started training with Mark. I wasn't expecting that answer & it made me realize I haven't felt that way about getting in shape (or trying to) in a long time. It sort of made me all verklempt!
