Great gym! The equipment at first glance looks old, but everything is always clean! They have unique machines other gyms don't have! The equipment is very well maintained, if something breaks it's fixed in less than a week. Staff is friendly, I have not done any classes but they are always going consistently if that's your thing. I love that it's 24 hours no more showing up at 4:30 am to find the gym isn't open. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE to pizza driver that delivered food there for an event. Ordered over $150 worth of food tips 5. Delivers the pizza and the guy up front made a joke as the driver was leaving "here take a racket" laughs and closes the door. The driver never said anything about how terrible the tip was but this man decided to take it upon himself to be EVEN MORE HORRIBLE. Nothing else to it just mean. I completed one of their 6 week Challenges back in Jan 2017 and I've been a member since. The Challenge was a great jump start to my fitness, teaching me how to balance my nutrition and how to correctly work out involving weight lifting as well as the best use of my cardio. It was a game changer for me and I lost 24 inches and 17 pounds during my first challenge. The instructors and classes are great and I loved that they offered 5:15am classes. 3dfit Studio is awesome. They have a fantastic following of people because using their methodology, people get real and great results. They are known for their "6 Week Challenges" in which you sign up with a trainer/coach to help you transform your body and mind to get stronger over the course of 6 weeks. They start you off with a Nutrition Seminar that is fantastic. They give you menu ideas and teach you how to eat to lose weight while gaining muscle. Following their plan, you are sure to get results! Throughout the challenge you get points for coming to a minimum of 3 Cardio classes and 3 Weight Training Classes every week. You can double up on them (two in one day) or take them one day at a time. You can also get points for checking in on Facebook or Instagram, posting photos, taking additional premium classes, and more. The person with the most points out of the challenge wins a free ($1,000 value) advanced Bikini Bootcamp. There is a high level of commitment to the advanced bootcamps, but the results are stunning. Most trainers/coaches have at least one group session every week where you work out with your team mates. They also have Facebook pages set up to help motivate you. Every calorie must be tracked on one of a couple different apps they recommend- and it takes some getting used to and some time to track it all. The trainers will check to make sure you are entering foods and check the ratios, etc to make sure you are meeting the guidelines. This level of accountability is needed. This is what you pay for when you sign up for this kind of challenge rather than at a less expensive location. You have unlimited group personal training- they teach you how to use the machines and what exercises to do to target certain areas. If you are new to this fitness game, or want to see real results- this is how it's done. They also offer 1,3,6, and 12 month memberships to the gym for just cardio, just group weight training, or a combination of both. This gym has great classes for cardio that really help you push yourself. I told the trainers of each class before I started that I was new, and they made sure to check in on me throughout. I left all of my cardio classes exhausted with a great workout. I attended the weight training class, and it was nice to have a plan, and they also took the time to show me how to do lifts that I wasn't familiar with. Also, I'm in the brute challenge, and The trainers do a great job at motivating and instructing proper form. I definitely recommend the gym to both beginners and advanced gym users. read more

I purchased a 3 month unlimited class pass through Groupon. I went 3 times. Each visit was worst than the last. The first time I went I got checked in with the counter girl and she told me to go to the class of my choice. There were 3 or 4 classes going on. I did not get a tour. Not getting a tour made it difficult to understand how this place worked. First failure complete. During my first class (beginner cycling), I was completely confused. The teacher showed up ready to go but was not very helpful in trying to get me started on my bike. I had to ask a complete stranger whom didn't know too much either as it was her first class as well. We managed to get situated in our bikes and even strap our feet in. Once ready, the teacher asks everyone if we had our headsets plugged in. What????? Headsets?????? No one mentioned headsets. That said, I had to get out of my straps, go back to the counter area, and get ear-buds to plug into the bike. Why didn't they mention this BEFORE we got ourselves strapped in????!!!! After I get my stupid ear thingy's, I go back to the bike and start all over. I did a few turns of the pedals and realized my legs were too long for the bike so I needed help adjusting the seat. I asked the teacher to help and said the seat/bike felt very awkward. She did help adjust my seat but I felt she was frustrated with me. The seat/bike still felt funny but I didn't want to bother the teacher again so I just let it be. The class starts and holy crap.....this is beginners???!!! She immediately jumped into some hard core biking. 4 or 5 other ladies were struggling as well. There were about 6 girls that obviously had taken the class before. I felt the teacher was only working out with and for the experienced women. I tried to keep up but my seat was so unbearable, I had to stay standing almost the whole time. My seat still was not adjusted properly so I felt I was going to flip over the bars every time she went faster. After all of this, she ended the class. I mentioned my seat being totally uncomfortable and the teacher informed me that it was the worst bike/seat in the class and most people avoid it. Note, there were still empty bikes in our class. This pissed me off!!! Why didn't she warn me of the crappy bike BEFORE we got started???!!! It was clear I was new seeing how I needed help getting on my bike and strapping in. Was this chick for real? Yup, she was. It rubbed me the wrong way through and through. I swore off spinning right then and there. After about 4 days of resting my damaged legs and butt, I decided to give 3D Fit another chance. I chalked my bad experience up to a bad teacher and not a bad studio. Damn, I really wish I wouldn't of went back looking back now. My next 2 experiences were poor also. I did 2 Salsa Jam classes. One with the regular teacher and one with a sub. The regular teacher again only focused on the women that had taken the class before. These women knew what to expect and even told me that they all did a flash mob together. Myself and 3 other new girls were completely lost as they were breezing through routines they had practiced many times over. The class itself was just a cluster-muck (I'll spare you of cursing) and the teacher did not care whatsoever that there were new students in the class. My next visit was a beginners Salsa Jam. This was also a big mess as there were ladies packed into a tiny workout room. 1/2 knew the routines and the other half were trying to follow the sub-teacher. The sub-teacher was actually really sweet and was trying to go a little slower for some of us newer ladies but there was another gym-goer (possibly another 3D employee) that kept trying to rush her along. It was weird. The ladies that were regulars all followed this snotty, pushy short chick as she was trying to take over the class. The new ladies were attempting to learn from the teacher but with all the chaos near the front of the class, everything just turned into a mess. After this, I decided that I was done with this place. Thank goodness I got a cheap $30 deal on Groupon. Had I paid full price, I would've demanded my money back. Another negative about this fitness center is their email marketing. I was interested in taking some other beginner classes but they didn't offer too many. I would then get an email listing beginner classes on certain days. I would get excited reading the email only to realize that the class had already passed. The emails were coming to me AFTER the class had already taken place. Talk about disorganized and clueless. Again, I will not go back. I have since signed up at another fitness place and love it. The fees may be a tad more but the staff is not snobby like 3D, the gym is organized and large (3D was tiny and clustered), and I actually enjoy going. I even gave spinning another chance. I do not recommend 3D Fit, not even with a Groupon deal. Save your money or spend your money somewhere else. read more

Kind of my fault but I got locked into a contract yet they never brought it up during the signing of the deal. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. If I did want to cancel i would have to pay the rest of the money (37 bucks x # of months left on contract). I will be heading back to LA as soon as my 12 months are up. What else is silly is that when I go in there from 4-8, the turf is being used for a class or being rented out by some athletic organization. Which is fine, but no one told me teams rent it out. The gentleman did mention classes would be going but also said i can usually find a way to work in as long as I stay out of their way. Well that's uncomfortable jumping in on someone's class like that. Not sure why the front is open for 8 hours the whole day. Just disappointed I got all geeked up about this place. Hard core way to jump into self improvement! So many successful stories here. Hard work, support, dedication to self help is granted. Show up, work hard, see results. Simple as that and hard as hell but if I can do it while working full time and a family, YOU CAN TOO! Make yourself a priority and kick your own ass to see results. No regrets! This is my favorite gym i have ever been to. I began by signing up with a six week challenge where 3 coaches mentored the small group of guys I was with. They helped us with form, what exercises to do, how to do them, and when to do them. In addition, they also helped us with what to eat. We sent in our weight each week and our diets were analyzed and personally adjusted for us by the coaches. The coaches all gave us their personal cell numbers if we had any questions. Each staff member was very helpful, and you can see that each person who works there truly cares about each customer using their facility. Well worth it and I will continue to go there. read more

After joining and leaving about every gym in the Downriver area over the past 25 years, I have finally found a gym that I LOVE going to. I will literally rearrange my day to be able to attend my favorite classes. Seven months ago I walked into the gym, very scared. I wanted more energy, needed to lose weight, build lean muscle, get healthy - not an easy thing for a 40 some year old women with 7 kids and a lot of weight to lose! I joined, figuring it would last a month or two, then I'd quite, either out of boredom or not seeing results. Wrong! The instructors are amazing at showing everyone how to work around any issues you may have, no matter if it is just being so out of shape (like me!), maybe its a bad knee, bad wrist - they can help you work around these things. Don't worry, no one judges here and everyone from the owners, to the instructors, to other users at the gym - everyone is here to encourage and motivate each other. I have learned so much about nutrition and what my body needs - something I never received at any gym. I love that I am now one of those women that can walk up to a dumbbell or barbell and be confident in my ability to use it, thanks to 3D Fit. Yes, I am losing weight, but more importantly I feel SO much better with SO much more energy! I definitely want to give a shoot out to the AMAZING spin classes here. I have tried them in several area gyms and other instructors don't come close to the fun and amazing spin workouts offered here. If spinning isn't your thing, stop in and see the other HUGE list of classes offered here. I have yet to find one that I didn't enjoy and get a good workout from. My only regret here would be that I was too nervous to join earlier. Seems so silly now, after how welcoming the gym is. If you manage to read this long review to this point - I'd just like to encourage you to just come in. The employees will listen to you and help get you started on whatever your fitness goals are. I have been going here almost daily for about a month now, maybe a little more. The first 3 weeks were great! I only use the 24 hour gym portion. Initially there was a handful of regulars that were friendly and helpful, courteous. However, the past week-week and a half have been a nightmare. I have come in multiple times now this last week and began my session with clean up, picking up weights others left all over the gym, wiping off benches that were covered in sweat or water puddles, very frustrating. This past Monday there were people in there acting foolish treating the gym like a photo op or something, terribly inconvenient and awkward situation. The following day I come in and once again have to wipe down a couple benches, a middle aged woman flexing and posing in the mirrors while we try to lift, about 30 minutes later a person comes in with children maybe 10-12 years old who were using equipment, throwing around medicine and balance balls...this is a gym, not a daycare or a play center. It also seems that they allow random people to come in if a waiver is signed, many people have come in just once, screw around for a bit, make a mess and are not seen again. Had I not paid upfront there is no way I would continue to go here, I also pay for Trenton Athletic Center where I go with my wife and I may have to consider just using the TAC exclusively. read more
