There is a strong culture of community here that you will feel as soon as you walk in the doors. The coaches and members do a great job of making new members feel welcomed. Every class that I have attended I have been greeted by name from the coaches and members have introduced themselves. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and ensure that the exercises are being performed correctly during class with an emphasis on form over weight. The facility is large and can accommodate over 22 ppl per class. Equipment is clean and in great condition. There are multiple different price packages offered and additional support such as dietary counseling and InBody scans if desired. I have been a member of Iron Horse for quite a few months now, but I haven't gone as much as I like because I have crippling anxiety. However, the coaches check in on me regularly, make sure I'm OK, and remind me that they are here for me now and for when I'm ready. (I had a horrible experience at another local CrossFit box for my first time, and this is why I get nervous.) However, the times I've been to Iron Horse, it's been nothing but amazing -- I leave and feel mentally and physically great and my day is so much better. The coaches are patient and work with people of all sizes and experience. They know I'm nervous because I'm out of shape, don't know how to use equipment, and they tailor workouts to get the best results for the current shape I'm in. In short, they care a lot about their members. (Google, bold that "a lot" for me, please.) I just signed up for three more months and going to start going back and so excited because I've spoken to all coaches and all are just great and reminded me that it's OK to start slow -- this box wants everyone to succeed at the best pace they can. Again, the coaches are so patient, and that is so important for un-athletic, out of shape, and self-conscious people like me. To really bring it home one more time, this place is for everyone. It doesn't matter your skill, the coaches are A+ and teaching you in a SAFE manner. They also care emphatically about safety, which most boxes don't. I give this box 5 out of 5 burpees. At first, I was a little intimidated to try a class but everyone was so welcoming that it made it easier as soon as I stepped into the gym. Workouts are short but intense. You are able to find your own speed and comfortable weight. I like that I can pace myself and they have adapative workouts to fit for anyone. Coach Candice and her staff are amazing. I waited a few months to post so I could give a good comprehensive review. I really love this Gym and the staff/co-owner are the best! I'm an older guy who let his fitness go by the wayside and they really make me feel like one of the regulars. It's like a big family there and everyone is full of encouragement. Watch your wallet!!!!! Went in to try out crossfit. Seemed very family oriented and trustworthy. There are 3 beginner classes required before members are allowed to attend regular classes. The scheduling for the 3 classes was challenging at best. After 3 and a half weeks of trying to schedule the training courses, I kind of lost interest in it all together. I was under the impression that if the training courses were not completed, then I would not become a member and be able to participate in the regular classes. Well, after my bi-annual audit on my credit cards I discovered they had been charging me $130.00 every month. YEP! $780.00 and I went to 2 classes! They weren't even regular workouts! They were the mandatory training classes! I called and explained the situation. Some "real ethical and down to earth guy" named Jason was less than understanding and directed me to his website if I wanted to cancel. No refund. No nothing. Completely disgusted with how immoral these people run their business. They charged me nearly $1k for services never rendered and continually charged me monthly after my failed attempt to schedule with their training courses never even worked out. I'll let everyone I know to be sure and avoid this scumbag of a business. I guess even mom and pop gyms rip people off the same way the BIG gyms do too. read more

When I finally decided to give CrossFit a try I reached out to another local gym and was very disappointed with the customer service, or lack thereof. I immediately called CrossFit Iron Horse and what a difference that experience was! From day one of on-ramp till now I've always felt very supported by the coaches and the fellow athletes in the community. I now go 5 to 6 times a week because I love it so much. I'm extremely motivated by the coaches and fellow athletes to show up daily and put in work! Something you hear a lot about CrossFit is "Community community community". I've been a member at Iron Horse now for 4-weeks and thought it was time to share my experience. I've trained in distance running and weight training for 20-years but lost interest over the last few years and gained a lot of bad weight and lost all of my conditioning. 4-weeks of training in, and pretty clean eating and I've lost 7lbs (4% body fat). The coaches are excellent. Candice and Matt are exceptional. Their coaching has improved the strength and mobility in my pre-existing rotator cuff issues far more than any sports medicine rehab clinics I've practiced over the years.
