I also utilize all the equipment and areas available with my membership, and it's been such a positive experience. The staff here are incredible. I've seen reviews claiming they're "rude," but honestly, I have no idea what those people are talking about. Every staff member I've interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in seeing people succeed and achieve their goals. For anyone bringing guests, just know that the first time they visit, they'll need to sign liability forms--which makes total sense to me. The gym has no way of knowing if someone might hurt themselves, and it's standard practice (or should be). This gym has truly helped turn my life around, and the encouraging, supportive staff are a huge part of that. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gym that genuinely cares about its members!

The pricing however, not honoring legacy members after years of being part of the community, was a little ridiculous, since many gyms around will only raise rates for newcomers, not legacy members. Also, the personal training is really expensive and doesn't roll over, which is really awful, because everyone has lives and responsibilities and sometimes the gym and personal life clashes. I don't think it's fair to punish people who have a harder time scheduling sessions to lose out on a lot of money. It's turning into a cash grab in my opinion, and I will miss the community I loved so much.

I am one of those that has to keep taking runs at the gym, need to go, but find it intimidating, and fairly easily talked out of gym day. If you are a gym person, that won't bug you and it is probably 5 stars all the way. One of the reasons I joined here were there classes, and what seems to happen every time i join some place for the classes, they cancel classes. They still have a LOT of classes, and if you are into yoga, and variations of that, you will LOVE this place. I do not... Their Hiit classes are getting more popular, and I am sure they are great, I am not ready to do them, not even close, but the problem, for me, is when they are going on, you can't use the Hiit zone, which is easily a 1/3 of the gym floor. This is not a big space, they have used the space efficiently, but when you lose a good portion, its cramped. and also, my favorite things to do, the things that get me to the gym are in the Hiit zone, so class days, no zone, but also, space isnt available, so that means that the hard cores are crammed together competing for space, so those that might be more inclined to use the free weights etc. are backed up, so they park on the circuit machines, basically that means that I am not getting a work out in because I (and others like me-yes there have been discussions) rely on the consistency of the circuit, and the fact that i have zero idea how to replicate on the other machines, that are packed any way. so I go find the one thing i can do, get frustrated (this is on me, i know, but iykyk, if you don't you can't understand) and just bag it. Then go to the massage chairs, the membership is worth those chairs. Generally don't have too many issues there other than basic common courtesy form other members. The area is for upgraded membership, has tanning beds, red light saunas and a stretching mat area and 4 massage chairs. back to the classes, they have cancelled pretty much every class that I enjoyed, and the reason i joined, so no classes for me until i get to a point that i can literally survive hiit, but, based on the amount of people in these classes, they are full by the time i look at them, so that's probably not going to happen either. The locker rooms (women's - haven't seen the mens) is small, uncomfortable, and poorly designed, I think most people, literally use it as a place to put their things, there is 2 small tiny benches, and more than 2 people in there and it genuinely feels uncomfortable. The showers are awful. There is no place to hang a towel, or your bag...just don't join thinking showering after your workout or workout shower, get ready for work is going to be a thing. some do, but not many, because, i believe there intent was they didn't want that. Never got my shirt for joining, not sure why that sticks in my craw, but it does lol. I did the quick start with a trainer, that was a waste of time, there only goal is to sell you training. I just want to know how to use the equipment, i can barely afford this membership, but I am trying, but I was never shown things, just pushed to buy a training package. I just wish that my membership allowed more assistance vs. just access to the business. so, i hope you can see why i gave 4 not 5, it's just how it works for me. I tell people all the time about it, and overall I think it is a great gym, space to workout.

My oldest children went here throughout the summer while on summer break and my youngest is now the only one that goes with me. I drop them off in the childcare room, Annabelle is awesome, she's very in tune to your child's needs and is so sweet to the children in there. My youngest used to have crying fits but now does great in there! I usually show up with a friend and we stay for about a hour. Haven't gone in a couple months, I've been slacking since school started back up. I took the two free trainer sessions that were offered back when I first joined. I decided not to opt in for anymore because I have a gym partner but it's nice to have someone there to help out with any questions we have. We never have to wait long for equipment, there's everything you need here. It's very clean, music is nice a loud and staff are friendly. Oh and you can't beat their daycare prices, these are the best prices I've found in 10 years!

And if you think you're gonna be late, just don't show up because you'll look like me big bird on the side of the road trying to get into her hot Pilates class I love when men sign up for these classes because it reminds me why I'm a woman I had the pleasure of witnessing 18 year-old boys sign up for one of these classes and I laid there and laughed for 20 minutes because they all cried So anyway, if you have a fear of serial killers in the state of Washington and would like to be fit, I highly recommend peoples Pilates. Are you looking to explore on improving your posture and form while strengthening your muscles? Well I think I have a perfect place for you. Quick background on my personal pilates experience before discovering People's Pilates (they're new in town, opened in Dec 2022!): I tried pilates few years back for about two months (Bellevue Pilates), I did not like it mostly because of the atmosphere- small group in a quiet space, which is expected of this exercise because its low impact and focuses on strengthening and stretching your muscles. Yeah it was boring for me and I never looked back. Pure Barre was more of faster pace with upbeat energy for me so I stuck with it for 2+ years and it was great! Fast forward to 2023, I've been going to Orangetheory Fitness for 6 years now which is more of quick paced and I love it, but I've been looking to add something low impact, a workout that can help me relax my muscles and tensions in my lower-back from repetitive high intensive workout. People's Pilates have highly knowledgeable instructors, they will not bore you to fall asleep on that reformer. They have a comprehensive routine that is various, and I recommend starting off with "Intro to Pilates" class a couple of times, it will help you to be familiar with different parts of the reformer and discover pilates the right way. They also offer classes like Glide&Flow; and Strengthen&Lengthen that focuses more on specific type of workout to improve your unused muscles and help you get in right form. One thing I took away from my initial classes is that your body is going to keep fall in a way that is comfortable with, and that's not always the correct form. People's Pilates instructor helps you to focus on your form first, so that your spine is aligned correctly and that has been a huge help in relieving some tensions I've had in my lower back and glutes. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly so even if you've never done pilates before, its not intimidating at all. They also incorporate different equipment into each workout, so no session is the same as the one before. They offer variety of membership and class packages that you can purchase so that you can try as few classes as you like or as many as you like. Check out their website (or App!). I purchased 3 class pack and have done 4 classes so far, and I must say that I have a whole new perspective on pilates now. Lastly the instructors are super cool and they have a playlist that keeps me moving! No more of that zen pilates that I've tried to fit myself in.
