My review is long overdue! I've been going to Crossfit Pop for almost two years now and I absolutely love it! I never thought about doing crossfit before. I was so bored at Blink Fitness and was looking for something more structured. I also wanted a gym where I can be given something different do to everyday. Not only am I happy here I actually feel more confident. I'm so much stronger than I was when attending the regular gym. The coaches are the best. It is like a family environment. They are friendly and funny. They are patient with you too. Not everything is advanced. They make sure to provide a scaled option for individuals who are not up there yet. I'm new to crossfit and after a couple weeks of researching and reading reviews of crossfit, I decided to opt for crossfit pop since it was so close by. Day one of going in had me hooked. The coaches are super supportive and know just how to make you push a little harder to meet your goals. The "regulars" know just how to make you feel welcome and you walk out feeling so proud and accomplished and most of all, excited for the next workout. As a novice gym goer, gyms hold an aura of intimidation. As a novice woman gym goer, it is easy to feel uncomfortable with massive muscular beings occupying all ends of the space and making you feel even smaller than you already are. I have been a member of four different traditional gyms, and I have never felt motivated, welcomed, or excited. This is where Crossfit Pop differs. I have always wanted to try out a Crossfit gym. The work outs always seem fun, and different. And that is exactly what I got what I came in. The workouts are challenging, fun, and different. The coaches are motivating, and they are there to make sure you are doing everything right. I feel welcomed when I come, I feel motivated, and I feel safe. And not only are the coaches there to motivate you, but the entire class is always pushing one another. Not only is it a great environment, but I feel energized, and stronger after nice workout here. Do not get me wrong, the workouts are tough, but they are worth it. Personally, I love it. I have been on vacation and I cannot wait to get back in. The classes are small, and it makes it personal. I just started going a few months ago and already feel like i am part of the crew!! everyone is so helpful and supportive and fun. the coaches take all the time to go over all the movements and make sure everyone knows what is going on and understands the workouts. It is very laid back and chill, which I enjoy as well. It is kid friendly and clean, so i have no problem bringing with 3 year old son and never worry about his safety. Been going to CrossFit Pop for about two weeks. I have a crossfit gym walking distance from my apartment in Bronxville but after reading reviews of that location and CF Pop I decided to opt for the "box" with better reviews. I researched CF and much of the criticism CF receives is that the boxes are run by ill prepared coaches. I can assure you each coach at CF Pop is amazing! They watch you the entire time and ensure you are safe. I have never felt unsafe at any point. Classes max out at 10 people and feel very individualized. You will be challenged in the best way possible. You are stronger than you think. Plenty of class times. Everyone- coaches, classmates and even coach Bobby's sweet puppy is super supportive. Best gym/exercise/fitness experience I've ever had. As an on-again, off-again gym goer, it has been hard to stay motivated to work out. Crossfit has changed that. Testing out Crossfit Pop during a trial week was one of the best fitness decisions I had made, and I knew right away I came to the right place. The coaches are friendly, knowledgable, non-judgmental, and eager to help you reach your goals. They take the time to get to know you right away and have cultivated a fun and encouraging gym to make your own. They encourage you to do your best and will challenge you, even when you don't think you can do one more rep or finish the workout. (Spoiler: You always can ;-) ) The classes are varied daily, so you're not stuck in the same routine, and your body is constantly challenged. The classes are small, so you are able to get individual attention and support, while being supported by other gym-goers. What truly sets Crossfit Pop apart is the community-- athletes from all levels of fitness can enjoy the gym and everyone is friendly and supportive. Probably one of the best decisions I've made this year was to join CrossFit Pop. At first it looks intimidating but the coaches (Nick, Phil & Bobby) are all great and the people who you workout with are just as great. Go enough times that you see the same faces and it becomes more of a family atmosphere as everyone pushes you so you can be your best. Been dying to try cross fit so I decided to try this place out since its about a 15 min drive (without traffic) from my house. I did the 1 week trial for free and loved it. The classes are small, max 10 ppl, and the instructors are friendly. They go through the moves with you and push you but not in a drill sgt way. I did 4 classes that week and I was extremely sore but loved it, that's how I know I was working hard. The only thing that I didn't like was the dog hair everywhere. I developed allergies out of nowhere so I am still trying to figure out what my triggers are. Besides its kind of disgusting to work out on the floor with all that dog hair. read more

My boyfriend and I were both new to cross fit and wanted to try it out. After doing some research, we decided to do the 1 week free trial offered by crossfit pop. Just after one week, we already fell in love with the routine. Crossfit helps you build muscle while also doing conditioning and endurance in various exercises. Every week and every class is unique and different in its own way. The instructors have a meticulous attention to detail and form, which insures that you don't injure yourself (or those around you!) and that you maximize the benefits of the work out. Another added benefit is that the classes have a maximum of about 10-12 people so it feels almost like a personal training session!! (Definitely worth the price) The regulars at the gym are also a great group of people and make you feel very welcome. We did the 3x a week plan and if we had more time....we definitely would have gotten the unlimited membership. If you're considering crossfit and are new to exercise OR just new to this type of exercise, you will definitely find a place at this gym. read more

I've been taking classes at Crossfit POP for over a year now, and I truly love coming here. You get such a great workout every time you attend a class within an hour timespan. The coaches are super friendly and accommodate the workouts to fit the abilities of everyone in attendance. I have been a member at Crossfit PoP since December 2014. A friend of mine convinced me to join her for a class and we have been hooked since. The workouts push you to your limits but also adjust to your needs. So if you are a complete fitness novice trust me you will be fine! The closest thing to working out for me before Crossfit PoP was dragging myself to a kickboxing class once a month. I now find myself not being able to get past 24 hours without including some sort of workout in my routine.
