Classes are more up my alley because I love to get my body worked up real good with an instructor and Belmars in the Greenburgh area of White Plains, met me there. Belmars is primarily known for Muay Thai but with one call prior to my Saturday class, Peter mentioned there's Circuit training and Zumba. He texted location details as it's off the Route 119 path and prices for each of those. Because of COVID, Peter mentioned not many folks are hitting the gym and classes have been small. The entire Belmars space is big. It opens with a large exercise room, wall-to-wall mirrors, boxing ring further back and a smaller Circuit Rm- where I and someone else, dripped in sweat with Christine. Don't be fooled by her small frame- my girl will have you hating her...I did- but it was all love and the burn was real even the next day! Plus her playlist was bomb! From Freddie Mercury to old school hip- hop to some pop- she had us going. Listen- I'm a size 10 and felt super comfortable not to be exercising with size 0 Beckies like you see in high-end gyms. By the end of her workout, my muscles shook like never before. Christine's Circuit Training class wasn't an easy ride but made such and an incredible difference even it's just Saturdays for 45 minutes. After a year+ not stepping foot in a gym, coming here gave me adrenaline for more!

I completed Peter's 5 week beginners Muay Thai and fitness class. It's the class everyone has to take to advance to the Muay Thai Kickboxing and Boxing classes. That first class was filled with about 20 + people. I thought I was strong, but I was wrong. I can't jump rope and It was the first time I did a pushup in about 20 years. I also did not know what a Burpee was. (Peter made this exercise look easy). By the end of the 5 week class, I was at 50 Pushups, 3 minutes jumping rope and about 15 Burpees. Maybe Martial Arts are not for you, but you want to get in shape. You want a body of a boxer or you just want to take your shirt off at the beach. Or, if you are like me, you need to shed some pounds. (I was over 270lbs I now weigh in at 230lbs.) My name is Charles White. I hold black belts in Shotokan Karate and Kendo. On 1/28/24 I authorized max to charge my card $1,604 for personal training sessions. Everything was actually ok for the first month so when February came around I decided to get a membership for $200 a month for 4-30 min sessions. I thought I could save a few dollars so decided to sign up. I gave Max my credit card and he had said to me that I could actually do 2- 1 hour sessions since I was in pretty good shape. I was ok with that. When I got home I did some calculations and realized it didn't actually make sense to do the membership. So for my following appointment after my session I said " I don't want to do the membership anymore can you please cancel it" and max said " don't worry about it you didn't do the paperwork so you don't have to cancel it" I said ok and I was fine with that. I go do surgery I go back to the gym months later, but before I even go back to the gym I text max over and over for literally weeks saying hey I wanted to finish up my package so I can be done with my sessions. Weeks later max finally send me a text that I had 6-1 hour sessions left because of the membership I had paid for. Great at that point I was only charged $200 for march. I was like great. After that text max goes back into my card and starts charging me a $200 a month fee and I knew nothing about it. I didn't catch it for months because I don't use the card and couldn't understand where the balance was coming from. After I specifically sent this man multiple text messages that I want to finish my sessions and be done he goes behind my back and bills me for a membership . I have since asked max for the paperwork that I signed for this membership but it does not exists. Now I have to take off a whole day from work to go to court to sue this man for my money back. Max Pierre is a thief and he's unprofessional. This man was either late for every session, ended the sessions early or sometimes both, he would be going to answer the phones during my paid sessions, assisting workers with fixing the treadmill, it was always something with him. all while I waited for him on my paid time. Seriously people should stay away from this gym and this man. He can't be trusted. I am going to make it my business to go on every platform I can find to warn people about this man's business practices. Please be careful out here. I am now out of $800 because of this man .and I will now have to lose a day from work to sit in court all day. When these companies ask you to write reviews when you are a new customer don't write them wait a few months to see what kind of business people really operate. FYI I spoke to a trainer that use to work there and he told me that max does this all the time people ask to cancel memberships and he does not do it. Apparently people go on vacation and months later find out this man has been stealing from them. Also if you are a personal trainer be very careful he owes a previous trainer $7000.00 for services rendered and as yet to pay.

Located on Main St., Juan (owner?) answered all my questions and he in turn, took his time to be as specific as possible, a tour of the gym included plus a Free Trial class whenever I wanted. Perfect! Classes here an ultimate plus for me and that's what I actually loved right from the beginning: those good old-fashioned Toning, Bootcamp, Leg Workouts that really work for me plus Personal Training. And if you're into Zumba, they got that too. The following Saturday, headed down to Tuckahoe for my Free Trial Bootcamp class with Steven who made me work Abs, Arms and Leg muscles in a totally different way. I bought one for a friend and I. Honestly we could not be more pleased! Staff is very friendly, Juan the owner is extremely attentive and helpful. This is not a huge fancy gym, instead an intimate gym where your trainer knows everyone in the class by name. They offer bootcamp classes, Zumba classes and even core classes. I'm in the Army and we stress command climate and unit culture and it takes years to perfect or get it right. Some units will never get it right until new leaders take over or the whole organization has a massive turn over. CrossFit northeast has a culture of respect, camaraderie, professionalism, fitness, and most importantly fun. Everyone from the instructors to your fellow athletes have bought into the culture created at this gym. I am continually impressed by this gym day in and day out. Each coach has their own approach in assisting all athletes of all levels continually improve. Furthermore, ALL the staff pay in side-by-side with the athletes. Once a class ends they chalk up and put the f*** up. It's reassuring to see they are not only human but can execute everything they teach in class. Last but not least, the programming is top tier. I was home for a good chunk of leave and needed a spot to do my programming (Thor 3 & Mountain tactical) and I decided on CrossFit Northeast Eastchester.
