Love this CrossFit gym and the results so far, let me share my why..... My husband and I have both been into fitness and health and wellness for years now. My go-to has been Pilates and yoga for the past several years. I work a 9-5 and sedentary most of the day. I found myself at a point where I kept getting injured from my workouts and I hurt my back to the point where I couldn't walk for a few days. I made a commitment to myself to do the unthinkable and start weight training as I felt I was stretching a ton but not building muscle. I have a few female cousins that have been doing CrossFit up North for a few years, they rave about it and look incredible .They inspired me to try CrossFit although I was very intimidated by the thought of it as many people say how "hard" it is. I reached out to get more information on the gym and Jon reached out to schedule time for us to come by. My husband and I met with him and asked a million questions (sorry Jon), he gave us a week free to try it out. It was intimidating at first, there is equipment that I hadn't used before and the workout was extremely challenging but the trainer was able to give me recommendations on performing the workouts at my current level and not overdoing it. I was really sore after and although it hurt so good, I knew I was using muscles I haven't used before. A few days later my husband finally decided to come with me and he instantly fell in love with the workout. We are now both hooked and it's something we both get to connect on and we now bond over getting stronger and pushing ourselves to grow.. Great husband and wife workout. Now about why I love this gym... 1. It's a family owned business not a corporation or a chain (support small local businesses). Jon and his wife Claudia really know their stuff about CrossFit. They are both really nice and you will see them working out with us. 2. The people are awesome! All local peeps, love walking into the gym and seeing their faces. They pump you up when the workouts get tough. Love that. 3. The cost is great compared to other CrossFit gyms. This is big for a lot of people, especially in this economy. 4. The workouts are always different and ALWAYS challenging. You will never get bored and you will love seeing yourself getting stronger. 5. Love the trainers; Justin, Alexi, and Jon. CrossFit saved is an awesome gym ! They have a great coaching staff lead by the owner Jonathon. I started with no previous experience - it was challenging and sometimes awkward in the beginning. I now love it. I have seen major results from weight loss , physique and performance. Going hiking and doing physical activities prior to staring till now are day and night differences . They have multiple classes throughout the day Wich is great Becuase my schedule is often different so it allows me the divers ability to make it in for training. This place is GREAT !! I seen better results by going to CrossFit Saved then I did going to average gym like 24 hour and LA Fitness. I recommended CrossFit Saved to my friends and they loved it so much that all of them canceled their regular gym membership an signed up with CrossFit Saved. Just to let you know I was scared about the whole crossfit name in general because I heard about all the injures that could happen. When spoke to John he told me that he would let me do any exercise with any serious weight until I have the perfect form down that way I wouldn't hurt myself and that's exactly what he did. This is a quality gym. I had been doing Crossfit on my own for a little bit, but my health and ability to do more complex movements improved drastically within 5 months of being here. Jonathan, the owner, is very helpful and attentive during class. His wife runs their meal prep service. All in all, things are done very well at this gym. The community, coaching and consistency are great here. The classes warm you up, work you out and then you stretch as you finish. I have had gym membership, a personal trainer, and am now doing Crossfit boot camp and I love it more than anything! The energy that Crossfit saved has is intense, although I am encourage to reach beyond our own mental/ physical motivation, there is always someone there to reinforce my capabilities to exceed average. When I first began doing CrossFit in January, I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life. My weight, obviously affecting my physical health, also affected my mental wellness and motivational drive. Fortunately for me, my first few weeks were during a challenge which was a great place to start my transformation. Not only did I begin to shred some weight off immediately through proper eating habits and exercise, but also it sparked inspiration to improve myself, and sought to constantly push my boundaries. This gym is the most welcoming CrossFit gym ever. The staff is amazing. Jonathan cares about his clients and knows how to coach! Everyone gets the attention they need and encourages his clients to be the best version of themselves. I joined CrossFit Saved family a little over a year and a half ago. Prior to this I would go to 24 Hour Fitness and do what most girls do there, go on the treadmill or elliptical and then leave. I never really knew what to do at the gym on my own. After joining CrossFit Saved I soon realized I never had to worry about that again because all of the workouts were already planned out.I started off working out 6 days a week and have not slowed down since. I have gotten more fit, stronger, and increased my flexibility. This is all evident my ability to getting personal records in all of these areas since I first joined! John has also helped me with my personal goals by helping me find a diet program that has worked for me. He spent extra time doing research on various diet programs that have now just become a life style change for me. John recommended that I try the whole 30 in addition to counting my macros. I've had a gym membership before but never really liked going, felt like the whole place was judging me, but at CrossFit Saved is a totally different story. I have been doing CrossFit on and off for around 7 years. I have been to multiple gyms throughout those years due to moving around a bit from Torrance, Glendale, Korea-town and now La Habra. I have been to all sorts of CrossFit, big ones, to medium size locations to box size location. I can tell you first hand it's not the size of the gym that matters, it's all about the instructor! I tried out Bear Flag and La Habra CrossFit as a trial gym and decided not to go with them. I worked out with Jonathan at CrossFit saved for 2-3 days and I was hooked. He is the best coach and instructor I have ever met and if you don't believe me, you should try him out. He truly cares about your goals and cares about his class. His style and coaching method truly is amazing and I thank him every single day for his help. You will definitely see what your made of! Which I love of course. My entire life I have always been the skinny girl. I never pushed myself physically and, as ironic as it may seem, I always hoped and wished I could look differently. When I started at CrossFit Saved two years ago, I was embarrassed about how thin my body was and actually got nervous working out in front of others. But it takes one class to fall in love with the atmosphere, to be in a room of people clapping and cheering every last rep. Every class large or small is filled with a vibrant positive energy. I've never been more confident in how my body looks, feels, and what it's capable of. It has also changed my relationship with food, and I've learned how to eat to fuel my body. Society tells us women that we can only be so strong, but the CrossFit community tells society they are wrong. Even in regards to nutrition and dieting, the media is full of fad diets that do not work, and even cause malnutrition and nutrient deficiencies in order to look more skinny. But we know these fads don't work, and Coach John provides everyone with accurate information to benefit overall health and fitness for life. CrossFit Saved has changed my life and given me a variety of opportunities to improve myself, and even ignited an interest in coaching. I've really enjoyed the atmosphere over at Crossfit Saved. The coach really explains health and fitness in a way that is easy to understand and he makes it seem achievable. He's been working on my knees, which would cave in too much when I would squat, and I can see huge improvements in my posture and my feet! I have flat feet and my knees caving in when I squat, walk, jump or even dance doesn't help with my arch. Since we've started working on correcting my knees I could see a difference in the flatness of my foot. The journal they offer us at CrossFit Saved is amazing. It helps me keep track of my improvement. I've definitely been one of those girls Who worried about getting "buff"with CrossFit. The coach explained to me that with a combination of dieting well and doing CrossFit it's impossible for a girl to get "buff". I took a chance and took his word for it. Turns out he was right! I've lost inches and become tone, which is exactly what I was looking for. There aren't any traces of buffness here! Plus I heard that Jessica Alba does CrossFit so of course I was on board! I have to mention that I love the decor and the fact that they have a locker room and shower. It makes going to the gym before my next appointment so much easier.
