I was never athletic or fit growing up. A friend of mine had joined Crossfit Structured and kept encouraging me to join. I fought her and the idea thinking that only the best of the best worked out at Crossfits. Well, I checked it out and was pleasantly surprised that all work outs can be scaled down to my comfort. The coaches pour into you and take their time making sure you are safe but challenged. It was such a phenomenal feeling to get my first snatch and I completed the Murph back in 2016. I cried! Everyone was cheering me on as I finished running! And I NEVER EVER RAN BEFORE! I have been working out here at CFS since 2015 and absolutely love the people and owner. There is a sense of comrade and encouragement to leave no one behind. Kid and pet friendly too! I had a baby in 2017 and CFS has helped me so much to reach my goals. The crossfit community is a place where people go to improve themselves and help people around them. I've been a member here for almost 4 years since I've moved into the area. I'm in my mid 40's and everything that is done in Crossfit can be modified in order to fit to the persons ability. I've never seen anyone or any coach ask or insist that a person do something they are not comfortable with. All the coaches are trained are polite and considerate of people's abilities and feelings. I've never seen any coach be rude, yell or "almost yell" as 1 boyfriend and girlfriend posted that Evan allegedly did to them. Evan is the nicest guy you'll ever meet, not only is he a coach that cares for his students, he wants you to have fun number one, be safe and do the best you can. I do not believe for one second that he has ever been rude. If CrossFit Structured or any other box for that matter had coaches like that, those boxes would not be successful nor would anyone want to be part of a community like that. I can go anywhere around the world and drop in to any Crossfit box, workout and they will treat you like family. So it's not about the a particular box, it's about the community and CrossFit Structure is no different. I've been part of another box prior to this and the people there are all still my friends. We all want to improve, for ourselves, family and the people around us outside the box. Sometimes we have to take responsibility for ourselves instead of finding excuses as to why we quit. read more

I have had a fantastic experience with CrossFit Structured! I have heard about CrossFit from several people (very fit people) independent of each other for a couple years now, however I was always reluctant to join because I had a gym membership and thought I would just do it myself. Also the Idea of someone else telling me what to do for the whole workout was not all that appealing to me. I have been in and out of shape low these several years and am no stranger to lifting weights, however I've recently been more so in the out of shape category and have had some difficulty getting back into the swing of things so I thought I'd give it a try. I have got to say I'm really impressed with this place! First of all they have the best prices around! (I did my homework on that! LOL) But then the trainers are fantastic! Like I said before I always thought that I would just do it myself and that it would annoy me to have someone telling me what to do, but I gotta say I have learned a lot! For example I had no idea how tight and inflexible I was especially in my shoulders and hips. In order to work on my mobility and form I've had to greatly reduce the weight that I'm working with which is a little blow to your ego haha, but I have a great trainer like Kelci working with me on my individual goals, and customizing the workout so that I can get the most benefit from it! How cool is that! It's like having a personal trainer...You just have to share her with the rest of the class LOL. I feel like I'm getting a more complete and balanced workout with the CrossFit than I do from doing conventional isolation exercises as well as improving my flexibility. My first day of CrossFit ever... I walk in and right away I get one on one treatment. Trainers are very careful to warm you up and teach proper technique before you start the full on WOD. At first it might look intimidating but within one workout you know that everyone is at a different level and everyone is there to support you at your level and your pace! Not only that, within a couple of weeks it feels like you've always been a part of this CrossFit atmosphere. If you are into solo WODs this place allows for serious solitary workouts. I have not joined crossfit structured yet, but I receive private personal training from Michelle. I met Michelle a few months ago and let me tell you she is amazing. She definitely has pushed me to my limit and without her I don't think I could have never known what I am capable of doing. I've had a lot of personal trainers and I never thought it was hard, but I realized that it's because I never had someone as passionate about health and fitness as Michelle is. With her help I have started a healthy lifestyle and I am so thankful for that. Not only do you get an awesome workout, a variety of class times to choose from and a team of coaches who challenge you, keep the workout fun, and who are experienced and educated, you are apart of a community of members who are kind and supportive and are continuously rooting for you. I joined in May of 2016 and plan to stay an active member of the community. You are held accountable, make pretty nice friends and are literally dripping in sweat when you leave. I'm not sure why this review never went through, but I'm trying it again to help other woman like myself. To be honest I am so surprised that this place has so many 5 stars. When this place first opened I was excited to have a Cossfit not far from my house. I bought one of their packages and went to my first intro class. While everyone was friendly, the trainer asked me a few questions. I had told the trainer this was my first time at a Crossfit and I had not been working out in a long time, but was excited to try something new. Well the workout was so tough that I could hardly breath, I felt really pressured and anytime I tried to catch my breath he was on my back to finish within the designated time frame. The trainer was a young college student from CSUF, I felt like he really didn't know anything about being a woman in her 40s, after 2 children who hasn't worked out in a year. NOTHING! His workout would have been great if I was back in my 20s and was in great shape. I felt that this workout was not for someone who was just starting out and wanting to get fit and didn't want to join Golds Gym. However, this place is for those who are already in top shape and are looking for more intensity. When we were done I could hardly catch my breath to even drive home, thank goodness I live in Fullerton. I never went back, I still have 19 out of the 20 sessions I purchased. read more

I grew up playing sports through college, but slowly gave up my competitive edge after I got married and began having kids. In the last 10-13 years, I've managed to buy a couple gym memberships only to regret it & dread dragging myself to the "stinky meat market". A few months ago, some friends of mine invited me to join this new gym opening up in Fullerton. I dreaded the thought of joining this "hardcore" group of athletes after not being one for many years, and thinking "I'm too old for this now". This mentality quickly changed after giving it a shot & finding it nothing more than an environment that is CLEAN, SAFE, & surrounded by people who are trying their best. It doesn't matter how strong or young you are, it just matters that you try your hardest. I'm always encouraged by the trainers & love the positive feedback. Just when I want to give up, CrossFit Structured Fullerton trainers are right there to push me to MY limits...not THEIR expectations. I've learned so much from them & can't say enough good things! It is THE BEST feeling to know you accomplished a workout that looked impossible! If you're on the fence about whether to give it a try or not, JUST GO FOR IT! I live nearby and have been wanting to try out cross fit. I've been very happy with the first 2 months and feel stronger, have more energy and welcome at every session. The coaches are personable and the class sizes vary from 6-12 people and the space can definitely accommodate more bodies. I look forward to continuing here. Prices are +++ for unlimited monthly memberships compared to other gyms. Focused on building the fundamental of movements for people at any ability. I initially decided to go once just to see what it was about (and to shut him up) and have been coming back since. I lost 25 lbs in the first 3 months and I actually look forward to my workouts. I worked out with Crossfit Structured for around 7-8 months and decided to just quit around 2 months ago. I have been wanting to leave a comment here but I did not find any time yet. As mentioned, I did not quit not because I don't want to workout anymore but I felt people like me (novice/rookie level) do not get proper attention while in class. Don't get me wrong, my strength improved but guidance in my opinion isn't enough. Also, this place is missing one key thing and seems to be the MOST IMPORTANT THING after working out, STRETCHING!!! Yes, we do warm ups and stretching before the WOD but once the class is done, that's it. People go home without even stretching out. I think coaches should encourage us to stretch, especially after lifting heavy weights? Isn't stretching after a workout gives great impact on the body's ability to increase flexibility?? Nonetheless, I don't know if I will ever coming back or recommending this box to anyone. Too bad. read more

I've been coming to CrossFit Structured for over a year now and all I can say is that it is better than ever. The new owner, Kris, recently purchased the gym and has made a ton of amazing changes in a short period of time. The gym now has a wide variety of equipment including new cardio gear, new dumbbells, kettle bells, squat rigs and good old fashioned barbells! The cardio section is fun with the ability to incorporate Rowers, Assault Bikes and Skiergs into the WODs. The gym also now has a dedicated Olympic Lifting section with full platforms to get that true weightlifting feel. The biggest change recently has been the new programming. There is something for everyone with Traditional CrossFit style Wods, Cardio intensive SWEAT classes and new Olympic lifting programming from Coach Mandy. You can make your workout as tough as you want and can also scale down if you're a beginner and work your way up. The great thing about this gym is the ability to have zero foundation and become better day in and day out. The best part of this gym are the coaches. Kris, Evan and Mandy all bring a high level of energy and each has their own style and knowledge to help you improve and achieve your fitness goals. Whether that is losing weight, improving cardio or throwing around heavy weight. Can't say enough good things about the gym and recommend anyone out there to give it a shot. I am in my early 30's, married & have 2 kiddies under the age of 6. Working out is not my favorite thing to do so I was Leary to start the crossfit 101 classes w/ my fit husband. I can honestly say crossfit is the hardest most rewarding program I've ever experienced. The warm ups are more than I've ever attempted at the local 24hr gym & the actual work outs are no joke! The trainers at crossfit structured are very knowledgable and everyone is so encouraging. when I think I can't push thru someone is there telling me I can or I look over & am motivated by the others working so hard. The class schedule forces me & the hubs into a routine; we've both consistently attended 3-4 times a week for the last 3 months. Before crossfit I could barely run a mile & now I can comfortably run 2.5 without stopping. I feel strong & so accomplished. If you are even remotely interested you'd be surprised at what you can accomplish... Crossfit structured is a must join! read more
