I want to give genuine recognition to the entire team at Chuze Fitness in Fullerton, especially Shawn, Prisma, Margarita, and Kevin. When I called regarding a billing issue, Shawn welcomed me warmly and immediately made me feel recognized and valued as a member. He listened carefully and assured me that my concerns would be directed to the appropriate person so the matter could be properly addressed. Prisma, the supervisor, then took the time to thoroughly understand what had happened. She investigated the issue, explored every possible remedy within the scope of her role, and made sure my concerns were not dismissed or passed over. Her professionalism, patience, and willingness to help were truly appreciated. Margarita, the assistant general manager, reviewed the situation in full, identified the error, and took complete accountability on behalf of the company. What impressed me most was that she did not simply blame a system or make excuses. She recognized that the team represents the company and treated the issue with the seriousness and ownership it deserved. She also went a step further by making sure the financial discrepancy was addressed and that I was appropriately compensated for the inconvenience. When I came into the gym, the team carefully removed the outdated payment information, cleared the billing setup, and helped me establish everything correctly from the beginning to reduce the possibility of this happening again. Kevin continued that same level of service. He was gracious, apologetic, attentive, and reassuring. He made it clear that the team would continue taking care of me moving forward. Mistakes can happen in any business. What reveals the quality of an organization is how its people respond when something goes wrong. This team listened, investigated, accepted responsibility, corrected the issue, and treated me with kindness and respect throughout the entire process. The entire Fullerton Chuze Fitness team consistently creates a welcoming and high-performing environment. As someone who has experienced premium fitness clubs where memberships can cost hundreds of dollars, I can honestly say that Chuze has raised the bar for what an affordable fitness center can offer. Chuze Fitness is a sports club franchise and this location is at Fullerton. They have other locations throughout So Cal. They have a plethora of machines from cardio to strength training. Moreover, they offer different monthly membership plans which are deemed affordable. Staff were friendly and professional. Men's locker room was satisfactory. Parking lot size is modest. Cardio Cinema is why I go to Chuze. This is literally the main reason! And the cleanliness of the gyms. The Cario Cinema has been a game changer for me. I would never step foot in a gym before I discovered Chuze and the Cinema room. So, I get frequent migraines all the time. And lights are a trigger for me. Most gyms have this obnoxiously bright lighting, and it just gives me a migraine lol But Chuze has the cinema room that allows me to get a workout in and not get a migraine!!! Parking lot was pretty packed but was able to find parking and inside was clean but the place was packed especially the leg area! I also used the sauna as well and overall a solid gym for sure! Was really grateful the movie was loud today at cinema treadmill. Couple of women plopped next to me on the treadmills and proceeded to have a loud conversation with each other, while standing on the equipment and not using it. Eventually the movie Insidious was exactly that, and with the flashes and screams being loud they left as it became too much to continue shouting over. Just wanted to absorb the movie and treadmill for my workout as it's Halloween day. See if I could get into it. It's customary to be quiet in that portion of the gym. I do enjoy trying new movies I wouldn't necessarily pick, or let the rise and fall of the score motivate me. Trying to train for my 5K and being able to clock my work and be entertained is awesome. I truly don't mind louder music and movies in the gym as it keeps me on the equipment longer. Still trying to learn to access the Chuze audio app, but can't get it to function. I do wish that there were more operating elipticals and bikes in the cinema portion as they are usually off, but the gym is after all under construction. Devin attended my gf and I and he was amazing! Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I joined today's gym session as a "buddy" and I absolutely loved it. There's an area for every workout and the equipment is top notch. The whole gym smells good is clean and well taken care of. Not overly crowded. No long lines or waiting time for anything. Multiple saunas and huge steam room. They even have a cinema where you can cycle. Coolest gym in town hands down. Very affordable and worth every penny. What I appreciate most about this location is the staff and the up keep of maintenance. I think that out of all of the Chuze facilities that I go to. This one has always been the best most consistently maintained. And this location is just as busy as the others and I would even say that it's not as up to date. I was on the cables and this African American person didn't want to wait for me to finish. He literally takes my attachment off the cables and starts using it and tries to fight me. I deescalated and spoke to, Cynthia, the manager in charge.She reviews the camera footage and comes back to and tells me that I was taking a long time and was implying justifications for his aggressive actions. The man who took my cables ends up leaving and they didn't revoke his membership. The guy who did this was 100% at fault. I hope upper management could review the footage and ban this guy. This incident happened between 10:30 and 11:15 AM, 09/13 at the cables on the 1st floor. Cynthia should not be a manger. read more

I never thought this would happen to me but after the incident that took place in this establishment... I don't think I'll be coming back. I locked my valuables in my locker. Unfortunately, I had someone steal my belongings which consisted of important valuables and in my defense I find that to be so GHETTO! I would think this place would be a more trusted environment to gym without worry that anyone would take my things but I've been proven wrong. I'm disappointed there wasn't more security and despite my efforts in protecting my things... people decide that they would find ways into breaking in regardless. I'm also curious as to where the mangers were during this time.. couldn't have anyone review the cameras at the time. I have a membership through my health insurance plan and it is paid every month through a credit card. I tried to gift my son a membership, but they will not let me pay monthly with a credit card. They force you into using a bank account. Really unacceptable considering if I go through insurance, I can get a membership and pay by credit card, but they won't take a credit card in person.... Or on the app!!!!!WTF then when you go in person ask they say oh go on the app to change your billing, but there is no way to use credit card only bank account. Very deceptive. Super unprofessional for a service based company! I earn bonuses by using my credit card for monthly purchases. I think we should start a class action lawsuit for our losses because they deny us cash back and or airline miles by forcing us into a direct bank account payment. This location is in a plaza where there's a Dollar Tree so plenty of parking. Staff are wear mask and helpful on answering questions. sauna and steam room is by the bathroom. inside is big and there's two floors. Surprising there's no Cinema room except big screen on top and no pool. 1st floor is where all the treadmills and assisted equipment. 2nd floor is the main thing where the dumbbells and weightlifting area and more treadmillls. A quality of a gym is not always based on the equipment or their employees. How one determines the ambiance is based on the people the gym attracts. Overall, Chuze does a great job in keeping their facilities clean and tidy. All the workers here are very accommodating. I also love paying for the extra amenities such as the Normatec Compression Boots, the Hydro Massage, and the Zero Gravity Massage chairs. As for the clients that come here, eh. You'll find a lot of the older people hogging the machines or just here for rehab. My word of advice is to come early in the mornings, late in the evening, or on the weekends to avoid a large crowd. read more

I've been on and off of having a Chuze Fitness membership due to personal reasons, but having gone to the Fullerton location for a few months, it's left a dissatisfying impression on me. I started off with having gone to the Anaheim location from pre-covid and I think there's a dramatic difference between these two locations. At Anaheim, the spacing of the equipment is great and doesn't feel smushed together as well as the general layout of the gym of where specific machines are located, etc. is nice. Granted, this location is more spacious horizontally since the Fullerton location is a two-story building, but the upstairs has always felt weird and underutilized in terms of how the equipment was laid out whereas the downstairs always felt cramped, especially during peak times. The staff at the Fullerton location have been very 50/50 in terms of friendliness and overall helpfulness to when I would have questions. The Anaheim location definitely made me feel so welcomed and it generally felt like the staff really liked being there at work. Another person who has left a review mentioned how the Fullerton location feels like a basic, regular gym and I agree with that sentiment. This location doesn't feel like up to par with Anaheim or even the Cypress location. read more

Due to COVID, LA Fitness is closed so I decided to sign up for Chuze. A little cheaper than my old gym with a lot more "specialized" equipment ex. turf area, olympic bumper plates, gymnastic rings etc. The staff definitely put in the effort to sanitize the areas regularly. There's also hand sanitizer stations and sanitizing wipes everywhere. For the most part, members are diligent, but people will be people. Some will wipe down their equipment, some won't. 1/13/21: Currently you're required to book a 1 hr. appointment ahead of time on their app. Pretty straightforward and easy to use. read more

Alec, the assistant general manager, was very thorough with providing her with various selections based on what she wanted from the gym. She ended up trying out for the 7 day trial. The following day she wanted to take a team training class but was having difficulties with accessing the app and booking a class. We came in an hour before the class started to try and get it situated. Alec, once again, provided phenomenal service with great problem resolution on how she could try out classes for the remainder of her trial. Coming back from medical restrictions gym front desk made me pay a month I did not attend . My pass even after paying remains blocked for some reason can't use any amenities I pay for without going to front desk . One newer front desk lady questioned why I was blocked even after explaining the medical leave and she was rude about it . Come here for years through covid and construction its clean classes are great and amenities but def packed and some of the newer staff are not as helpful as before making it an uncomfortable place to work out lately . read more

"So many ways to make you sweat." I didn't realize this includes simply standing in the new upstairs room for classes. I went for a 7:15 pm class and it was boiling in there. The instructor is amazing and has such a good attitude, but the same cannot be said of me. (Several people were commenting on the room temperature, though.) I left a little over halfway through the class. I don't know if they plan to fix the HVAC issue or if it'll just be like this every summer. It's likely I won't stick around to find out. read more

So 5 months ago I finally got off my ass and signed up for another gym. I've been thinking about it for like 10 years (a standard New Years Resolution), but always had a excuse like too expensive.... or I will only use it for 3 months then stop. So, that pretty much ruled out the mainstream gym's like 24 hour, LA fitness and Golds gym. I like the new "crop" of gyms that have popped up lately like Chuze and Planet Fitness that have the $10 a month fees with no contract. Cause nobody likes a contract! So after checking out Chuze and Planet Fitness (they both had locations relatively close to me), I decided to go with Chuze Fitness because well I like the yellow/black over purple/black and yellow color scheme AND I LOVE the cinema rooms that Chuze offers as well as the childcare facilities since I'm a part time dad. The cinema rooms are a GREAT idea!! I love this because you can do the bike, treadmill or elliptical machines in a movie room with surround sound! Also, it's dark so you don't have to feel like people are watching you look like a dork on the machine. This was actually the prime reason I chose this place, because lets face it, if you haven't worked out in a decade, you need some distraction to do cardio for longer than 5 minutes! I really did start at 5 minutes of cardio, but started doing longer times because I would get into the movie I was watching! I prefer the cinema at Fullerton because they have the volume a little higher than the Garden Grove location. Not sure if that has changed, but I like to be able to hear the dialog of a movie I'm watching. So $10 a month plus a annual fee (I think $39) is what it basically is to join one club. If you up that to $20 a month you get to add the tanning booths, hydro massage, pool/spa area and you can visit any location. There are 4 locations in OC.... Fullerton, Cypress, Garden Grove and Westminster mall. Add $20 a month for your kid and you get unlimited days a month to use the kids club. They have counselors there with a movie room, video games and other activities and crafts for them to do. Here are the Hours for KIDS CLUB: (since I didn't pay attention to that when I signed up) Mon-Fri 8a-12p (2 hour limit) Mon-Fri 4:30P-8:30p (90 minute limit) Saturday 8a-12p (2 hour limit) Sunday CLOSED So if you are in the market for a new gym, I would look at 24 hour fitness so my gym doesn't get to crowded.
