My husband and I recently took our very first trip to Las Vegas, and one of the most memorable…read moreparts of our visit was discovering Downtown Hobby 9. My husband is a big Gundam fan, and while exploring the area, he found this amazing little shop just off the Strip. As soon as we walked in, I could tell he was in heaven--it was like watching a kid in a candy store! The shop had a fantastic variety of Gundam kits, including models from Japan and another section from China. The collection was so well-organized and fun to explore. While we were shopping, my husband noticed that some of the same kits he had purchased online before were priced about $15-$20 less elsewhere. But even knowing that, he didn't hesitate--he wanted to support this small, local business. That meant a lot to both of us, especially after learning the shop is backed by its own tight-knit community. "Locals supporting locals" is something we value. The staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming. I wish I remembered their names--they made the experience even more enjoyable. We ended up buying quite a few kits and were concerned about how we'd get them all back to San Francisco. Fortunately, they offered shipping, and everything arrived quickly and was packed with such great care. We also noticed they were selling some awesome shirts and learned that the artwork was created by one of their community members. The designs were so cool and creative that we decided to purchase a few. We actually came back for a second visit during our second trip to Vegas--and, of course, picked up even more Gundam kits and shirts. With recent tariffs being added to imports, we wouldn't be surprised if prices go up by the time we're back in August. So honestly, what we paid might end up being a deal! If you're a Gundam fan or just love supporting genuine, community-driven small businesses, Downtown Hobby 9 is absolutely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to stopping by again on our next trip--stay tuned!

They have gunplas as well with premium Bandai. The staff was friendly as you can feel their passion towards model kit building. I didn't purchase anything as my collection has surpassed most shops. But I still like to browse around. It is a worthy shop to stop by. It's a 4.9 out of 5.

It's a bit off the Las Vegas Strip but as I have a rental car it wasn't too far of a drive. First and foremost the two people working the front counter were two of the nicest and friendliest workers of a Local Gaming Store (LGS) that I have ever met anywhere. Being from CA this shocked me in the most positive way. Kudos to them. They were so helpful and eager to answer any questions I had. Secondly. This had to be the cleanest and nice smelling LGS I've ever stepped foot in. As my wife was with me she will tell you that we have been to some LGS's that are have bad air circulation and don't smell very good. Omniscience Cards and Game really goes above and beyond to make their store look and feel welcoming. Bought some card sleeves, nice deck box, an MTG single and 5 pack of MTG packs. A bonus that the workers let me pick my packs from the boxes which for me is a huuuuuuge bonus! All items were fairly priced and reasonable. Overall a wonderful experience and I definitely will be back the next time I visit Las Vegas

Have you ever had an interest come to your recommended page and you had no idea what it was about?…read moreThat would be Warhammer for me. I also discovered my interest for it during the Secret Level episode five on Warhammer that's on Amazon Prime however, the more I was on the online, I was not sure what was cannon or fan fic anymore . The more I got into the lore, the more interested I was about the art and the story behind it. Lo and behold, there was an actual Warhammer Store in my area. Jafo is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in all my questions he gives you enough space for you to explore, but is available if you have questions on how something works or how to get started. There is a lot of information for me to understand, but I would definitely come back to learn more about the hobby itself. I end up purchasing two books at a very decent price and I was already reading so much more about it. The age group varies on the hobby itself, but everyone seems to be very welcoming and supportive. If you are new to this like I am, I would strongly recommend visiting this store as they have a great selection of items for you to browse or get into. Everything is very organized and very clean and I appreciate the openness of it all highly recommend.

Either it's a mom and pop shop and run very leniently and I just popped in the first time expecting something else, or morning shift put in their notice and quit a bit early. I'm upset! I lived 25 minutes out and wanted to make a purchase before I go out running some errands, all the other people that tried to get in looked like they were wanting to make purchases too. I might pop in later today and rethink my review, but first impression is a last impression, and I can't even see what's inside to make one!
