I ordered a box from The People's Card Shop and initially had some trouble getting a response through email. After calling today, the experience completely turned around. The owner Brian stepped in, took full responsibility, and made sure I had all the information I needed. I was told my order should be shipping soon, and appreciated the assistance. I called back to check on the store credit, was first told by a gentleman named Malik, he mentioned that the box would be sold on the floor for $139.99 entailing to $60 store credit. But, a day later, prices weren't up on their website for the booster box, I went into the store and asked about the store credit, the owner mentioned that the store credit was only $50, because they were gonna sell the boxes for $149.99. So I took the store credit anyway. No point arguing. Then, when they finally came up with the store pricing. It lists on their website for $120. Yeah, I get it, pricing fluctuates. But words should be kept. The website's and email's customer service is almost non-existent, I'd recommend calling them and asking questions if needed. read more

came here a few weeks ago and would actually never return. the vibes when walking in were so off. the owner wouldn't even try to help us or even look our way.. we came in looking for some Yu-gi-Oh cards and although they had somewhat of a collection we didn't feel like we should spend our money at a shop that doesn't value you/your time. I would understand if he was busy, but we were literally the only ones at the counter waiting to be helped. It was actually so awkward being here. Been to others around town with rude snobby card sellers and this place has always treated me with a friendly and approachable attitude. Worst LGS in Vegas. No prices on anything, not even sealed product. Staff gave a vague answer that basically meant "we look it up online", then took 15-20 min at checkout to price out cards individually (even commons). Hard to justify shopping somewhere that refuses to post prices and you don't know your total until you're at the register. You're better off ordering from TCGplayer for the same price and less hassle. The place also smells, looks run down, and customer service is awkward overall. read more

I have been exploring all the different card shops in town, and I have to say this is probably the first one I would not come back to. No one talked to me really when entering, there was not any pricing on most cards, they had artificial air fresheners but it still smelt awful and musty, and the way the owner and staff interacted just wasn't the best in front of customers. There is also almost no parking. I heard the owner cuss multiple times talking about customers that could be coming for an event, which wasn't ideal. I would recommend almost any other card shop in Vegas over this one. Also not a ton of stuff available outside of yugioh. read more

I arrived out of town and the people's card shop was recommended through sites and TCG apps as local card shop to visit. On arrival, I was looking at the display cases and it seemed all the staff was avoiding me. Once I finally got a chance to catch their attention to look at cards, almost felt like I was an inconvenience to them. The vibes were not hitting and once my transaction was done I was out. Otherwise it is a large shop, they seem to have a larger selection of yugioh in the display cases with a a smaller dedication to Pokemon, lorcana and one piece. They did have sealed product, but most anything being sold was at market price. Prices for any singles I got seemed to be market or +10% of TCGplayer prices. Otherwise, a pretty standard shop, nothing that stands out. read more

BEST TCG SHOP IN TOWN!!! Service is excellent! Multiple people behind the counter at all times, and all have great relationships with the customer base! Their pricing is fair, and they have a multiple TCG's on shelf! The main focus of the player/customer base is Yugioh although all TCG's seem to have decent turn outs! Not to mention their video game tournaments! Overall great vibe, friendly staff and there's always something going on. Extra shoutout to the community built around this shop. Which has to be the most dedicated in the valley. The Discord is active, and everyone I've sat across in the store for Tournaments, trades, and conversation has been welcoming, informative, and kind. Best tournament store in town for yugioh, and an incredible selection. As a small business and a hobby store, I dont think it gets more better. They are constantly hosting big tournaments including regionals for yugioh, which tells me how much they really care about the community. read more

The owner is very robotic and kinda rude, I tired to buy a storage box for my cards since I needed them urgently. I asked the clerk then was rudely interrupted by the owner in our conversation to ask what I need. I told him I need a storage box and he said "yeah we don't sell that" staring at me like I asked for to borrow his car. Never once apologized for not having it, just being robotic. That was the whole reason I came here since other shops sell them for a few bucks. Instead I just laughed it off. Been here for a few hours and the environment takes after it's owner, everyone acts like they've never met new people or a human before. Ignoring them or just being very unfriendly. Also the tables are very confusing, half the players are in the back playing Disney's card game while in the middle is pokemon then its mushed in the middle having Yugioh/Pokemon. Rather than separate days the owner tries to force them in one and that's just annoying for players. The shop is also very hot and has the weirdest smell you can imagine. Also he/his team allows their dog (it seems from research it's the store pet, which is very strange) around in the shop, I don't have an allergy but it seems disrespectful to the people that do have one. The dog kept smelling around player's shoes or floor like it was trying to find some food. People come to shops to relax and meet new people rather than online for human interaction but if it's like any other the shops in Nevada. People are just going to stop going like me. This was my first time going to a card shop in 6 years since the Wii Play Games owner intimidated me over selling some card for $2 (I still don't understand how they're the biggest game store in nevada). Won't be coming back especially since this is very inconvenient to me (I live 30 minutes away) rather than shopping online. Update (10/2024): I came back just to see if the owner took my criticism since I wanted to trade a few things with other customers not with the store, nothing really changed besides there was more staff this time and the moldy booklet of the store's tournament rules had more dust on it. I read it and no people do not follow the said rules. Ironically enough I don't dislike card shops or video game stores in nevada (I was friends with an owner before he closed down) it's just that most of the time Owners don't update prices (this store sells a Legendary Duelists: Duels From the Deep Booster Box for $45 when a box is max $32 on a bad day) or the owners are so boneheaded that they were rather fight with customers then they wonder why their shop closed down a year later. More of a personal issue yet this store also promotes a lot of Flesh and Blood for some reason. The whole game promotes this Singles outselling Boxes culture, which is horrendous and only benefits sellers. I wouldn't recommend getting into this especially since the game is dying quickly. read more

Card shop itself is pretty shanty, with a majority of the space consisting of a large mix of indiscernible smells that makes you want to vomit. Not the fault of the owner or the store, should really be some kind of bar for entry. 1. Take a shower. 2. Wear deodorant. 3. Maybe take a second shower. Came in here looking for singles, staff seems very small with the owner, larger, bearded man -- and a girl he was training. Just taking a look at their singles, it's relatively scarce. Absolutely no selection here but it's probably because they price match on TCG, not bad. What is bad is his lack of customer service. The trainee asks us a question, if we want to take a look at anything. I say, "sure, do you guys have any more singles?" The owner stops us dead in the tracks -- kind of tells me to fuck off lol despite just answering back a question given to me. After we wait a few moments for the owner + trainee to help a few more people out, I just decide to leave. If this is how the owner is training his staff, I don't want to spend my money here. I have been here a few times for tournaments and never had a problem. But after today'a incident, this store has lost my business. the owner posted a flyer(attached) on FB and the way any normal human would read it is that on Sundays which is July 7 and July 14 there will be a case tournamen. I had already missed the one on July 7 due to family matters so I cleared my schedule for what was supposed to be a fun day with my sister and son. We arrived to register only to be ridiculed by the owner for being the only one who noticed. His words were, " i have has 50 people see this flyer and you are the only one to point out this date issue as confusing ." There was no apology or anything offered for the mistake. He even showed me a new flyer he had made but wasn't posted on FB and said this is what's going on for tonight. I was confused and he again was very rude, "I've shown you this five times now, what don't you understand ?" Just rudeness. Even just a booster pack for my 7 year old as a sorry to have wasted your time would have been appreciated. nothing. read more

I've been going here for a while and I have to say, I absolutely love it. Brian is always very clear and communicative about what's going on as far as tournaments and product allocation goes. The staff is very respectful and the store is all around fun! l I remember one time someone stopped their break early just to sell me a water bottle and they absolutely did not have to. I have to say This place is Terrible. I thought this place was bad when it was Vs. Vs always smelled like pot. I can see why they change there name ever couple years. I thought i would give vs or people shop or what ever its called this month another chance because my Kids wanted to play dragon ball. After reading on there website and facebook that registration started at 5pm i called to make sure that they were still doing that. After speaking to a rude worker who stated that they posted on nthere discord it was a raffle to get in. I then said thats not whats posted and was told to f&^&ing bad if i have a problem to contact bandai. Then was told i dont give a S8*&^what you have to say and hung up. Not sure how this place is in buisness but now i can see why they change there name. Take your kids anywhere but here. Plus there singles selection for a shop that runs a tcg is laughable.
