Sticker on opened product that was sold

DO NOT BUY CARDS HERE SHOP TAMPERS WITH PRODUCT AND WILL HOPE YOU DON'T NOTICE. My husband stopped by to grab a box from this store because it was the only store that had Winterspell even though their prices are much higher than other shops in the area. We had purchased it ahead because they said they only had two boxes left, so when we came in they handed him the box in a bag with a sticky note labeled for my husband. Conveniently it was IN A BAG and the post it was over the seam of the box (which had the shrink wrap torn ALL down the front seam). When my husband returned home I removed the product from the bag and noticed the problem and called the store. I called up and asked about the rip in the box and why it had been given to him if it was open and right away the store associate says "oh it was accidentally cut with a box cutter". Very assured, he knew exactly what I was talking about. So I'm curious about two things. Why he would sell the box if it's cut open so badly (ESPECIALLY WHE HE WOULD HAVE SEEN IT PUTTING THE POST IT NOTE ON) and 2 why does this cut look NOT RANDOM box cutter accident and not like a cut at all. It looks like someone took their thumb and tore along the seam. It's not perfect like a blade at all, it's a tear. If you look on the picture you will also notice part of a sticker that looks like it either used to say "open" or "stop"; I find that odd too. lol the box was marked and then the sicker was only partially removed. I told the associate I really would never buy a product like this had I noticed and it not been bagged up for me like that and I really just want to bring it back show them and get my refund even though it would require me to drive 40 minutes each way. I assured him all the packs were there (as long as they sold it with all the packs in there- as part of me questioned). He puts me on hold and then I get the very "peachy" store manager. The manger tells me I'm lying....that apparently they sold the box in pristine condition and that I'm making accusations despite the box I have sitting right in front of me. What do I get out of making up a story like this and being willing to DRIVE 80 Minutes back for a refund. But instead he was rude. Kept cutting me off saying my husband should have looked better at the box, and that because the box left the store they won't do anything. I now know why this store was the only one in the area left with product. It makes sense now. I just found out later than others that this store shouldn't get business or be trusted. Don't fall for their scam they are running there. If they were a store that cared about customers and the player they would have no problem if I brought it back issuing a refund. They will just sell the packs no harm no issue. The fact also that the employee didn't miss a beat when I mentioned the cut along the seam of the box is super sketchy. Run away.....go to any of the other 37 shops we have and if no other shop has product hold off, don't make the mistake we did. I can personally recommend trading card garage and Gacha claw. They are great places to show and care about the player. They would not sell product in this state.

We were denied access to the store within working hours, no announcements where made to any of there social media platforms. We hen questioned the staff were EXTREMELY rude.

It's a good store, lots of cards and tables top games. Employees are down to earth, and will help you out with any questions.

From the moment we stepped inside the door, you could tell something special was happening. A couple of tournaments were taking place, tables full of people playing card games, cards all over the tables, lots of energy in the air. It felt like an local game store type of place, a community hangout! Even though there were so many activities going on, it did not feel too crowded. There was still enough open area for us to check things out, and they offered a very strong selection of items! They had a great variety of trading cards, Pokémon, Magic, etc, including both single packs and bulk buy sealed items. My daughter headed straight for the Pokémon area, and we picked up a few packs while we were shopping here. It was a really fun visit overall. Both the lively tournament scene and the wide variety of cards that they offered made me feel like this is a legitimate store to support your card collection hobbies! My daughter and I both enjoyed ourselves and we would go back here especially to get more Pokémon cards. We'll have to try out a local tournament at some point too!

Most importantly is that the owner and employees really seem to care about their customers. Be advised that the showroom is located in their warehouse and distribution building and it can be a little hard to find the first time, although Google got me there. Lots of cubes to try, lots of accessories and the prices are great. Recently they had some great sales on cubes, and sometimes there are even 'grab bag' items. There always seem to be lots of kids and families visiting.

They had many many cubes and the pricing was fair. A bit cheaper than the same ones we saw on Amazon. Probably because it is a warehouse where they have boxes and boxes of cubes so they don't have to pay shipping. You go there and pick it up after testing the product and seeing it live, great idea. My kid loves seeing all the different cubes and boxes of cubes. The service was also really good. They were polite and quick responding. We needed two bags because my two boys were arguing over the one bag that had both their cubes and they didn't give us a hard time. They also solved one of the impossible cubes we didn't know how to solve for us! The staff there are speed cubers. My son enjoyed watching them change the cube so fast and it gave him something to strive for! The location was also clean and well kept. They had timers too for people to practice there and chairs to sit and cube. It seemed a little sketchy when we drove there but that's because it looks like a warehouse area where there are other similar warehouse stores. It's not a shopping mall or retail center. But felt safe to park our car outside the store. We hundred percent recommend this place and we will go back again.

Our friend suggested we try out R3 Hobby Arena because they had an awesome rock crawling area specifically designed for the axial 1/24 scale cars. WOW !! he wasn't kidding, they call it "the crawl space" and words and pictures don't do it justice! We had a blast! The whole place is very clean, even the restrooms! the people are very friendly and helpful especially for first timers like us. They provided plenty of places for us to charge our batteries and space to work on our crawlers. The best part was it was pay once and drive all day, no time limits. We took a break from crawling and went to check out the drifting area. It was very impressive and again everyone was very friendly, and again lots of space for working on cars and charging batteries. They even had an air compressor so you could blow off and clean your car if you needed to. While they are not a full on hobby store it looked like they did sell a few select parts and cars. They also offer monthly memberships and have competitions for drifting and crawling on a routine basis. So I guess we found our new place to crawl ! If you are a drifter or 1/24 scale crawler I highly recommend you check this place out!

My husband is a big Gundam fan, and while exploring the area, he found this amazing little shop just off the Strip. As soon as we walked in, I could tell he was in heaven--it was like watching a kid in a candy store! The shop had a fantastic variety of Gundam kits, including models from Japan and another section from China. The collection was so well-organized and fun to explore. While we were shopping, my husband noticed that some of the same kits he had purchased online before were priced about $15-$20 less elsewhere. But even knowing that, he didn't hesitate--he wanted to support this small, local business. That meant a lot to both of us, especially after learning the shop is backed by its own tight-knit community. "Locals supporting locals" is something we value. The staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming. I wish I remembered their names--they made the experience even more enjoyable. We ended up buying quite a few kits and were concerned about how we'd get them all back to San Francisco. Fortunately, they offered shipping, and everything arrived quickly and was packed with such great care. We also noticed they were selling some awesome shirts and learned that the artwork was created by one of their community members. The designs were so cool and creative that we decided to purchase a few. We actually came back for a second visit during our second trip to Vegas--and, of course, picked up even more Gundam kits and shirts. With recent tariffs being added to imports, we wouldn't be surprised if prices go up by the time we're back in August. So honestly, what we paid might end up being a deal! If you're a Gundam fan or just love supporting genuine, community-driven small businesses, Downtown Hobby 9 is absolutely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to stopping by again on our next trip--stay tuned!
