My family went to Power 9 Games in Las Vegas for Pokémon builder sets and we generally enjoyed our visit to the store. Overall, it felt like a local game store that you would see in your neighborhood that sells cards off of shelves as well as various tabletop games, collectibles, and hobby supplies. If you are interested in shopping for Pokémon or Magic: The Gathering (or any Trading Card Game) there is ample opportunity to browse around and spend time in the store. Upon entering the store, we immediately headed to the Pokémon section. We found both of the Pokémon building sets we wanted in that area and there appeared to be many different options for us to choose from. All of the products were clearly displayed so we could easily see what each product included and how much it cost. When it came time to checkout, there was one small issue related to the price listed on the box being lower than the price reflected when rung through the cash register. The employee was cool about it though! Once the employee spoke to management, she gave me the better price which was the price listed on the box and credited my account with the correct amount. The staff at the store where I made this purchase was super friendly and helpful. Power 9 Games had a wide variety of products available to choose from. Even though there was the error with the cost of my purchase I would definitely go back to this store in the future as well as recommend it to anyone looking for anything related to their Pokémon collection. read more

DO NOT DRAFT MAGIC HERE. Not surprised they have poor reviews already. I rarely review places but this shop is very stingy. Drafted here for the first time. On the website they promoted top place gets a collector booster for latest set. We had a 4 pod and the top place guy left not wanting the prize and everyone at the table agreed to just split. When asking the staff (the guy in blue hair) he declined us even though everyone agreed too do it. Plenty of other card shops to play at that put the players first and are not stingy like these guys. I live in North Las Vegas and after going to Power 9 a few times I cannot recommend it. I would rather spend the gas and go to War Room Games or Knight and Day or pretty much anywhere else. It's the service. There is only one friendly person that works there but she is only one person. The guys, especially the chubby dude with long hair treat customers like they don't want them there. Their uncomfortable glares and snarky attitude speaks volumes. It's too bad because they have lots of tables and carry a decent selection of games. I've gone there about five times in the last 2 years and it's the same each time with the exception of the one time the young lady behind the counter was helpful and showed good customer service to my wife and I but sadly it was only the one time. DO NOT BUY CARDS HERE SHOP TAMPERS WITH PRODUCT AND WILL HOPE YOU DON'T NOTICE. My husband stopped by to grab a box from this store because it was the only store that had Winterspell even though their prices are much higher than other shops in the area. We had purchased it ahead because they said they only had two boxes left, so when we came in they handed him the box in a bag with a sticky note labeled for my husband. Conveniently it was IN A BAG and the post it was over the seam of the box (which had the shrink wrap torn ALL down the front seam). When my husband returned home I removed the product from the bag and noticed the problem and called the store. I called up and asked about the rip in the box and why it had been given to him if it was open and right away the store associate says "oh it was accidentally cut with a box cutter". Very assured, he knew exactly what I was talking about. So I'm curious about two things. Why he would sell the box if it's cut open so badly (ESPECIALLY WHE HE WOULD HAVE SEEN IT PUTTING THE POST IT NOTE ON) and 2 why does this cut look NOT RANDOM box cutter accident and not like a cut at all. It looks like someone took their thumb and tore along the seam. It's not perfect like a blade at all, it's a tear. If you look on the picture you will also notice part of a sticker that looks like it either used to say "open" or "stop"; I find that odd too. lol the box was marked and then the sicker was only partially removed. I told the associate I really would never buy a product like this had I noticed and it not been bagged up for me like that and I really just want to bring it back show them and get my refund even though it would require me to drive 40 minutes each way. I assured him all the packs were there (as long as they sold it with all the packs in there- as part of me questioned). He puts me on hold and then I get the very "peachy" store manager. The manger tells me I'm lying....that apparently they sold the box in pristine condition and that I'm making accusations despite the box I have sitting right in front of me. What do I get out of making up a story like this and being willing to DRIVE 80 Minutes back for a refund. But instead he was rude. Kept cutting me off saying my husband should have looked better at the box, and that because the box left the store they won't do anything. I now know why this store was the only one in the area left with product. It makes sense now. I just found out later than others that this store shouldn't get business or be trusted. Don't fall for their scam they are running there. If they were a store that cared about customers and the player they would have no problem if I brought it back issuing a refund. They will just sell the packs no harm no issue. The fact also that the employee didn't miss a beat when I mentioned the cut along the seam of the box is super sketchy. Run away.....go to any of the other 37 shops we have and if no other shop has product hold off, don't make the mistake we did. I can personally recommend trading card garage and Gacha claw. They are great places to show and care about the player. They would not sell product in this state. read more

I'd love to rate this place highly but I can't. The people are rude and unprofessional. I signed up for an event online through official channels, on a sign up sheet that They Had Posted on Riot Themselves. I drove one hour to arrive at the event... They tell me they're sold out and that they can't help me. I show them that I signed up officially, and they said it didn't matter. Apparently only the sign up sheet on their own website matters. Mind you, there was absolutely no note on the riot sign up sheet to do this. No note that the sign up sheet was... Not a sign up sheet? If people can't sign up for your event officially, don't post a sign up sheet for the event! Wow! Who would have thought!? They will offer you nothing for your trouble or time. No good faith gesture, which one would typically receive when a business screws up and wastes your time. You will literally get better service at your local McDonald's. At least if McD screws up your order, they'll fix it. Not to mention, the pricing here is predatory. Almost all items TCG related are selling for way above MSRP. This shouldn't be the new norm. Sad to say I used to really enjoy coming to this shop. However it's seems like the place has scaled back a lot of the features that made it unique so it can focus primarily on Warhammer. The Magic the gathering collection could be considered impressive if there was anyway to view it. I haven't played in a couple years, so I came in to try to look around to get some ideas for new card decks. The extra large singles case was awesome for that. Now everything is tucked away in unlabeled cardboard boxes, and when I asked how I could check it out I was told I should know what I'm looking for before coming into the shop. Glad I asked. The place was packed for a DND event with people constantly checking in. We went to look for dice. The display was near the register and the employees had asked twice if we needed help inbetween helping people checking in. They had a small selection of dice. My sister found a very nice set that was resonably priced. My bro wanted a more expensive set and decided to look online instead. They really know how to create a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels no matter what game you're trying to play. Don't often write reviews on here, but just wanted to drop a quick review for Dom and the great MTG community at this store. The store itself is HUGE, clean, and has a pretty wide variety of different product and plenty of play space. I was in town for about a week and brought my decks along with me to see if I could catch any commander games here. I dropped in one afternoon and decided to check out the MTG pack selection (which had a lot of variety). I picked out a couple and Dom helped ring me up. I told him I was from out of town and he actually offered to introduce me to a playgroup so I could squeeze in some games. Super cool of him and I appreciated him taking the time to make me feel welcome. When I sat down the guys playing were equally welcoming and I had a great time. So much so I ended up returning two other days to play again! Each time I met a cool new playgroup and had a blast! Definitely wouldn't hesitate to return here again next time I'm in town! read more

Power 9 is a great place to meet up with friends and play some of your favorite table top games or TCG's. The staff are friendly and answer any questions you have regarding their products. I came In during the pre-release event for the One Piece Card Game not knowing anyone. After meeting some cool people that were passionate about playing the game, it actually led to the creation of our local competitive team called the Yonkos TCG. Today Power 9 for me is the go to spot for any tabletop board games I am looking for or trading cards supplies. They also have a wide variety of events going on all week for different games. Discovered the shop while looking into various card games, and then when Bandai/One Piece announced their release of a TCG, I was over the moon to find out Power 9 Games would be carrying and hosting tournaments as well. Lots of places around to grab some food and they sell snacks and beverages as well if you're feeling hungry while gaming. Always a great time here, I think the low reviews are likely misunderstandings. For card games there's MtG, Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Pokemon, Digimon, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and (unofficially) Final Fantasy. There are also a variety of models, puzzles, board games, table top games, etc.. inside of the store. Everyone here, from the staff to the customers, are quite friendly; there are usually multiple events going on during the day, if not at the same time. I think this is where the 'rude employee' reviews come in; what is actually just someone catching their breath for a moment after juggling several tasks is being mistaken as being rude and dismissive. For MtG in particular, store usually has at least 4 commander pods going at any one time, limited formats struggle though (hopefully that is fixed when WotC rolls out their new unified packs). Only real complaint (other than a small limited MtG community) is that the food and beverage side of things is mostly absent: bottled drinks, instant coffee, and honey buns. There are plenty of food joints around, an even a great food truck that sets up shop on the first Friday of every month, but would be nice for there to be more in-house. read more

Don't recommend going to this place. Service sucks! You walk in and no hello, welcome nothing!! You wait in "line" to try and talk to the workers and they pretend you're not there. I was trying to get a Pokemon card and it took me over an hour just to get it. I asked a worker about the card and he was like " hold up I'm busy". He wasn't busy he was eating Pringles and sitting down looking at the computer for 1 hour straight!!! That's not even it, the smell in that place is hereunder. I was gagging! I had been so very excited to introduce our kids to the world of role playing games. We were so excited to go and explore the store and spend a good $300 in games, poster and the like. It turned out to be via very dissatisfiying experience. When we walked in , the two guys behind the counter just glared at us, no hello, now welcome nothing. As we began to look around, my son recognized a sing from my favorite band Hammerfall. To make small talk, I peered around the aisle and told them iappreciated that my favorite band was being played. The guy nodded his head like I waa a schmuck and went back to his conversation. We went ahead and looked around, but at this point it was to make note of what the kids wanted and head home to Amazon. His attitude does not fit well with the rest of the team like Dom, Ryan, and the owner itself. We feel welcomed and appreciated. Meanwhile , the new addition feels like we are a hinderance to the job he applied for. Either way, Rob is just rude for no reason. Learn how to talk to customers. I work for a swim school and treat kids way better than how he treats adults who are willing to spend money for a great business. But he kills the mood entirely.
