They were super responsive, and the day before our designated rides, they shared the driver's number for us to connect directly. Our driver down to Valle was named Elias and made the whole process so simple! He picked us right outside of where we came out after crossing the border. He was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were comfortable for the drive. He told us a little bit about Valle and how he's lived there for 25 years. On my way back, I had a different driver, who was Natalie. She was super nice and the ride back was so quick, probably because it was the morning and traffic wasn't too bad in Tijuana yet. She was helpful in directing me to find the line to cross the border. Without the direction from her, I would have definitely been confused. They made this whole process so seamless! They were on time and available for all the questions I had leading up to the rides as well. I will for sure use them in the future any time I'm traveling somewhere driving distance in Mexico!

At the end of the tour he took us to a hidden restaurant in a beautiful setting under a lot of mature trees. Is was nice and cool and our lunch was the best meal we had during our visit to Rosarito. The restaurant was called Hacienda in San Antonio de las Animas (I believe), and extremely inexpensive. Our next tour with Fernando will be from Tijuana all the way to Cabo! From the moment we met him, he was warm, friendly, and genuinely kind. His car was super comfortable, and he immediately adjusted the music and temperature to our preferences, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and personalized. We were originally planning to visit four wedding venues, but Danny went above and beyond -- thanks to his insider local knowledge and great suggestions, we ended up touring TEN venues in one day. There's no way we could have pulled that off without him. At each stop, he dropped us off right on time, picked us up promptly, and even helped communicate with venue staff so everything ran smoothly. It really felt like he always had our backs. Our friend unfortunately wasn't feeling well--not only did Alfredo have plenty of fluids/snacks/meds for her, but he also shuttled her back to our house TWICE so she could rest while the group continued the wine tour. He was so flexible and gracious. His van fit all 13 of us comfortably, and we all appreciated the AC and access to the aux cord so we could play the same Cher song 5-10 times. He has a really great intuition for group needs--he gave us plenty of space but was also around whenever we needed a photographer, someone wasn't feeling well, or it was time to go to the next place. Alfredo made it very easy to plan the trip--I knew where I wanted to go, but he knows the area really well and will help you make the itinerary and reservations for your day in Valle. Having first tried their wine at Finca Altozano, our whole group was amazed by how good their wine was (Godoy) at such a good price point. We knew we had to seek it out on the way back to the states. And we're v glad we did. Although I suppose we should have called first! They seem to operate mostly by appointment and the building is a pretty nondescript warehouse-looking structure on a road full of similar buildings. We got lucky and found an employee tidying up and they graciously called someone who came by to give us a tour and tasting. Though our guide was not the owner (who we're told gives a fantastic tour as well), we had a fabulous time touring their very nice space, asking questions, and learning about the process. And once we got into the tasting itself, we were even more excited! :D They gave us incredibly generous pours (some might say too generous - be careful if you have to drive after!) of some of the best wines we've had throughout Mexico. And for the quality you get, the prices seemed so good that it was hard to imagine how they do it. They should really be proud. Even though we showed up unannounced, they treated us amazingly well and we left feeling like we were leaving good friends. We would love to come back again, and would encourage anyone going through the area who loves good wine to make room for this in their itinerary. P.S. If you need to sit and soak up some of those extra-generous pours afterward, Tacos De Birria right around the corner is legit af.

Since we were the only folks there that day, we had the tasting room all to ourselves. Omar spoke very good English and gave us a history of the winery and a description of the wines it makes. Then we toured the facility to get an in-depth talk of the wine-making process and the materials used. Omar is both knowledgeable and personable. He opened 5 bottles for us to taste, and all were very enjoyable, with varying flavors and complexity. Their bottle prices were very reasonable, so we bought 2 (limit for bringing back to US), and he even gave us one of the opened bottles as a complement to our ensuing lobster dinner in Puerto Nuevo. What wonderful hosts! I highly recommend this winery for an intimate tasting and wine experience in Guadalupe Valley.
