The food was good, and the hibachi chef was entertaining and professional. We were lucky to get seats by walking in after skiing when reservations were otherwise full. BUT, one extremely rude server ruined our experience. After the chef finished cooking, my drink still had not arrived, but our server was nowhere to be found. We politely asked a tall blond male staff member nearby if he could help us check on it. He immediately yelled at us loudly: "I'M NOT YOUR SERVER! FIND YOUR OWN SERVER!" A family sitting next to us saw this and talked to a manager for us. Our server later came and apologized, but we explained that the issue was not her fault--we were hoping for accountability from the staff member who yelled at us. Unfortunately, we were told that he would likely not apologize. We were offered one complimentary drink, but the situation itself was never properly addressed. Our server herself was polite, and we still left an 18% tip out of respect for her work. I think basic courtesy from all staff should be a minimum standard.

The restaurant was built around a 1921 Hacker Craft wooden boat, beautifully restored by friends of mine at Morgan Marine in Silver Bay, NY. The boat used to house an actual salad bar, pre-Covid. Now it's just a beautifully appointed mahogany boat in a big room just past the hostess station. The rest of F&I is a series of small and large rooms, some very intimate. There are artifacts everywhere (that you need to explore). Recently visited w best friend, Locomotive Breath (formerly known as Zagbolt). Sat at the bar. Seemingly lots of locals. Very capably waited on by bartender Andre. He was effective, efficient, and gregarious. Perfect young man for the job. We split a dozen wings (one of the specials which were smothered in an orange, peppery glaze). Delicious! I also had a cheeseburger w bacon. Perfectly broiled on a substantial bun. And onion rings. Plentiful. LB had a mesquite chicken panini w mashed. He loved it. Large selection of tapped and bottled beer, wine, alcohol of all kinds. One thing that kind of caught my attention was another patron's prime rib. Very fatty, on the thin side, $39. Did not think it was a good presentation or value. F&I is still one of the best restaurants around. Museum-like, and good food. Curtailed hours compared to years past, and looking for help (of all kinds). 4 stars

Location/Decor 5/5: Loved the location of the store, it was perfectly placed around other shops. Also conveniently located right behind the store was a lawn with tables/chairs and a river! The store itself was super cute and had tons of other products you can buy. Side note, the bathroom is across the way in another complex, quick minute walk. Food 4/5: I ended up getting the Shrimp Po Boy $15.95. The sandwich was huge and a bit messy. I would have preferred a smaller sandwich and it come with a side instead. The sandwich was pretty light, flavor was good and the shrimp was cooked well. Service 5/5: This is definitely a locals place, the person taking our order knew several of the patrons that came through. The service was quick and the person taking our order was very kind! I would happily be back if I am in the area!
