We were instantly greater by the barista. I ordered a vanilla latte as we were just passing through the area. I will visit a locally owned cafe over a box store any day. I saw baked goods that looked very tempting as well. Nice and clean and plenty of room to sit and looks like they have recently expanded a deck out back that has a water view. read more

Went here twice while staying in the area. First visit was great. Guy behind the counter was nice, friendly and made a killer drink. My 2nd visit was not so great. Girl at the counter was far from friendly and practically growled at us, while her drinks were mediocre at best. She was super friendly to what appeared to be a regular, so not sure what her deal was. There aren't many places in the area for espresso drinks, so you're kinda stuck if that's what you want, but be aware that service and quality are hit or miss. read more

Stopped in while driving from Montreal to Albany and were very glad we did!! Pastries were yummy (cinnamon roll and chocolate muffin) and coffees (a double cappuccino and double latte) were delicious--one of the best lattes I've ever had anywhere. Jambs on Main has been a community center serving the most wonderful espresso as well as pour overs. The host is super nice and truly believes in quality and great value. Westport is lucky! If you're hungry, you can always get a sandwich or soup next door. I've spent many an afternoon here working on my book. I'm glad I still have a lot more to write/rewrite. Lol! read more

My wife and I are espresso / coffee devotees. Sometimes, it's hard to find a decent coffee shop in large cities, but visiting JAMBS on Main was totally unexpected and surprised us in many ways. The espresso was excellent and we were impressed at the care that was taken by the employees on house roasting our coffee and ensuring that the beans were weighed accurately on the scale before placing them in the grinder. The owner is very friendly, intelligent and open to conversation.
