Food: Simply put- mind-blowing flavors. I had the crab clusters and they were amazing but expect to be messy in the best way possible. Each side I ordered was equally impressive. I'd highly recommend their fried corn and okra. Seeing it on the menu brought a smile to my face. Atmosphere: It was relaxing and quiet as the buzz from the chef in the kitchen prepared amazingly delectable treats in this mom-and-pop-style establishment. Please treat yourself and support this small business as it is truly a gem in the rough.

Sea's Bounty is located in the old Dairy Queen inside the Hanover Shopping Center intersection of England St and Washington Hwy. Key Summary: Primary foods are fried fish /shellfish and boils (mussels/shrimp, crab) and Po'boy sandwiches. They offer a wide variety of side fries, corn fritters, hushpuppies, fried okra, stuffed jalapeños, etc. Prices are amazing for the amount of food you get. This is one of the few places where I think the meals and sides might be underpriced. The gem of the restaurant is the owner. He was very nice the whole time, especially to my kids. It is clear he has a passion for cooking, and serving his customers. I was surprised that it was slow on a Friday evening, when we went. I hope it had picked up since I started this review. Anyway, I haven't been in awhile but the food was great when we went, the owner was amazing, and if you live in town or nearby and haven't tried this place yet, you should.

Owhere do I start..... First visit, I was in the mood for…read moresome seafood and this place sounded great. I arrived and two persons were at the front door pretending to be hostesses... No greetings and a look in their face like what do we do now. One proceeded me to a table with no verbiage or a welcome face r that matter. Looked like they were trying to pull off a Five Star and was modern looking throughout including the dinner wear, which was great.... I asked about the oyster's Rockefeller and was told by the waitress they were well received so I proceeded to order Oyster Rockefeller, crab legs and she crab soup just to round things out. The oysters were nothing more than a ball of cheese, way too much cheese, never even tasted a hint of oyster. stay away The crab legs were decent, one pound consisted of three clusters of decent size. The she crab soup was tasteless and I would go as far to say almost tasted like cardboard. I had asked the waitress to bring me a Togo container when I ordered but it was so bad I tasted it twice and let the bowl sit. The waitress didn't inquire about the meal in any sense of the word, so all in all a two star experience. Owner must be using it for a tax write off....sad actually because better management could really turn the place around.....and Mechanicsville could use a good seafood restaurant!! Check my pics out, just wish I had taken a pic of the cheese balls.....Enjoy!!

What an experience. By myself on business. Bar was full, or so I thought! Danny cleared a spot and…read morehad me seated in less than a minute. Which is also why, unfortunately I don't have pictures. This place is so on point with service. Danny making the drinks and his oyster shucker getting it done quickly to the back of the house bringing out my lobster bisque. Oysters were spot on. But the bisque. One of the best flavors. To Danny's credit I asked about the clam chowder or the bisque. He said they were both great but very different. Off his description I chose the bisque. OMG! With my issues I need to be safe and this was so good. The food, the environment, but most importantly the service was great. If you are here, sit at the bar and hope that Danny's there and in charge. He gets it.

I got the clam chowder to start. I was not use to the sourness of the chowder. It was like someone squeezed too much lemon into the chowder. Not a lot of clams either. I would not say that is a New England Calm Chowder. For entrees, we got the Rockfish and fried oyster Po' Boy. The only miss on the Rockfish is the corn. They were not sweet at all so do not match well with the clams. The fried oysters Po' Boy has a generous portion of oyster and fries. The dipping sauce was really good with the fries. Only miss is the pickle onions is really sour. To end the night, we had the key lime pie. It is a good ending to the night. Interestingly, I had sour tasting in all my food.
