They looked absolutely new--not sure if he redyed the boot but they're pitch black again, repainted the scratched heel, put another layer on the sole and replaced heel tip. As a cobbler Mr. Javier takes real pride in his work. He takes the time to make things right and can rebuild a shoe completely if need be. This is a rare skills that is disappearing rapidly in our country. He brings more than 40 years of knowledge and dedicated craftsmanship. A new sole in leather is around $85 which is not cheap but we all know that inflation has dramatically increased pricing in all businesses.
